Chapter 609 - Marry you

The human Resource manager stood up instantly and greeted Sam. "Mr.Cox! I'm sorry about the clumsiness of this intern."

Sam ignored him and asked looking at the girl. "Where have you seen me?"

"Huh?" That girl wasn't expecting it and she was still thinking why HR manager addressed him as Mr.Cox and gave so much respect, "In the elevator."

The manager rebutted, "Ivy! Is this how you respect Mr.Cox? He is the younger brother of President Cox. Greet and apologize to him."

As soon as she understood, she bowed and greeted, "Hello Second young master. Sorry for bumping into..."

"Where have you seen me before?" Sam's cold tone resonated.

"..." Ivy looked blankly for a few seconds as she gulped her saliva. She was scared of him looking at his sharp eyes.

She meekly replied, "Mountain Den! Second young master, I must be mistaken. My apologies."

Then he left after talking with the Manager.

"Oh! Handsome Second young master. You are so heartless."

Sam rolled his eyes, "Thank you, cold-blooded President."

Both continued to banter about who was more heartless till Sky saw Ivy. She pulled a chair next to herself before asking, "Ivy! Tell me how you met Handsome Second Young master in GenX?"

Ivy looked at Sam and others but remained quite. Sky asked everyone to look away and threatened Sam not to scare her before they heard her part of the story.

It was the same but she explained what Sam spoke to the manager before leaving.

"Out!" Sam's cold tone sounded again in the office and Ivy left the room thinking she lost her internship.

After about five minutes, she was called to the office. The manager surprisingly behaved friendly with her and made her sit before he passed the water and apologized to her for scolding.

After that, he asked gingerly, "How do you know Mr.Cox?"

Ivy shook her head, "I don't know him."

The manager brushed off her response, "If you guys don't know each other, why will he tell me that he was the reason for files mishap and order me not to make a woman carry so much weight?"

Ivy was dumbfounded. She understood why she was being treated nicely when her internship was at the stake.

She was still mulling over, Manager spoke, "I didn't know you know such high-level people. Do you know President Cox too? Anyway, you can finish your internship. Work hard I will change it to employment soon. Well done."

Baffled Ivy left the office. When she was treated well, she tried to explain she really didn't know Sam but they always laughed saying she was very humble.

After that, she had seen Sam a few times and even greeted but he always treated her as invisible or wall of the office.

"Today is the first time Second young master nodded as a response." Ivy finished saying and peeked at Sam who was facing another side.

Sky nodded in understanding and turned Sam's face to Ivy holding his chin as she spoke, "He never cares about a woman or anybody which your manager must be knowing. So he said you are down to earth because he thought you are known to Sec... Handsome Second Young Master."

Sam flung her hand from his chin. Ivy was heavily blushing under handsome men's gaze as she said, "Second young master is good to you other than President Cox."

Clark jumped in, "That's because only Sister Sky can pet him..."

He had to quieten down seeing Sam glaring daggers at him.

Sky ignored it, "By the way, Second Young Master, will you trek with us or going to stay..."

Sam shoved a very spicy pickle in her mouth. "Let's go."

All followed Sam out. Arlo saw Sky's nose turn red due to spiciness and made her drink water after going next to her.

Ivy looked at Arlo who was elegant and carried an aristocratic air around. She had noticed him being quite all-time excluding occasionally feeding Sky and only responded to her.

Seeing him holding the glass to make Sky drink even though the latter was holding the glass, her lips tilted up. "Please take care of Sister Sky. She is very kind and soft-hearted."

Sky was shaking her head hearing 'she is very kind and softhearted'.

Then Mr.Reed spoke, "This is our first time we have seen her talk, smile and laugh more. Keep her happy."

'Really?' Sky thought to herself. Arlo responded, "I will!"

Seeing atmosphere turn mushy, Sky pulled her jacket sleeves up and spoke, "Or else I will beat him up. Don't worry."

Seeing the other two laugh and Arlo giving a smile, she sighed and grinned. "We will come for dinner. See you."

All trekked to the peak before sunset. After descending forty present, Sky took them to the place where she always watches the sunset.

"Max! Weren't you asking why I said trek after lunch, because of this place." Sky answered Maxwell's question which he had asked a day before and pointed at the sun on right and Carlton lake on left.

They were just focused on the sun, when she pointed lake, they understood why Sky didn't want to watch from the peak. At a higher-level view, they couldn't see the change of color reflection on the water and there was no proper place to sit and watch either.

Sky was leaning on Arlo as he wrapped his hand around her and supporting the other hand to sit.

It was silent for a few minutes until Sam spoke, "Sky! You took the Carlton redevelopment project not only because of entering the holiday resort but also because you like to watch it here. isn't it?"

He finished and looked at her nod. "Smarty-Pants."

Sky had told both reasons only to Jai and he had told her, 'Try to acquire what you like'.

When she heard about the Carlton redevelopment, she was also working on picking up a new venture. If some amus.e.m.e.nt park or large size resort builds, it could affect the lake dangerously.

One would allow the chemical water to the lake and the other one would affect the water flow to the lake from the hills around it.

So she wanted to protect it and even managed to build a unique resort which was famous in the complete country A and got recognized by different countries.

Sky raised her head and whispered, "This is where I actually decided to... marry you."

Arlo kissed on her forehead and remained silent.

Ryan found it boring to watch the sunset without doing anything. Sam, Max, and Clark always liked to spend time in nature. Arlo likes wherever Sky takes or whatever she likes and he always liked to watch the sunset with her.
