Chapter 624 - I'm not edible

Before Mia could respond, Sky spoke coyly, "How about I go around alone once more to know your Handsome Arlo loves me or not?"

Ryan coughed lightly to remind them about David who was present next to them so that they could stop their display of affection.

David pursed his lips to control his expression and spoke with a poker face, "I will meet Chairman Cox."

"I will meet Ivy." Sky said and escaped. Then she got to know to Ivy wasn't there. Sam explained how the party was arranged.

"Shall I bring her here?" Sky asked Sam who nodded in response. "Should I go alone? Let's go." Sky who took a few steps with Sam stopped abruptly.

"Everyone will think I'm your girlfriend and they won't pursue you. I will go alone." Sky finished and went ahead.

Sam rolled his eyes and hooked her hand to his arm. "I don't want any of them."

Sky argued with him until they found Ivy. "Handsome Second Young Master,..." Sky whispered the rest, "Should I tell her to hook her hand to your right arm? Two in two arms. Perfect player image."

Seeing his face go dark, Sky asked Ivy to come with her and went another section under lots of envious gazes.

Ivy became a star employee after that event. As she was with Sky and Sky was with Sam, Daniel, and others.

GenX had developed an application for Apollo technologies hence they were invited to the party. Norvin Wright was present with his date for the night.

He didn't know many at the party and he didn't like to mingle with old men he knew. So he was with his date holding a drink in his hand.

When a chortle heard with the soft music, subconsciously his attention went to the little girl.

His lips slightly tilted up looking at the adorable girl smiling. He saw her penetrate between a group when another red dress came to his vision and he raised his head.

Her face was flushed pink as her beautiful smile caught his attention. She went around the group before he could get a glimpse properly. He traced them for a long time and saw the kid running towards him and giggling happily.

He heard a euphonious tone repeating, 'Mia'

He clearly saw her taking long strides behind a little kid to catch her and her eyes didn't leave the little girl. As she passed through him, his nostrils filled with the lavender smell with a hint of a fresh flower which he couldn't recognize.

Her soft curls were flowing in the air as she moved her head side to side looking for the little girl. Soon she went out of vision and giggling sound faded. He drowned his drink and took another one as he responded and flirted with his date.

"CEO Wright! Thank you for coming." Daniel greeted him and introduced his wife and son.

Norvin greeted them and didn't introduce his date as she wasn't worthy to introduce and everyone knew he had numerous flings.

"I saw your daughter. You have an adorable kid." Norvin complimented and they were generally speaking. Daniel bent down and swept Mia off the floor who was still giggling happily looking at the girl.

"Brother Dan, Your daughter is too naughty." The same euphonious tone heard as she pinched Mia's nose and carried her.

'Brother Dan? Sister of Daniel Cox?'

He saw Mia kissing that girl on the cheeks but his eyes stopped on the girl's face. Her eyes formed like a crescent moon and from near he could see her face clear and bright without any products on her face excluding dark red lipstick on her delicate lips which looked like curled soft rose petals.

"Dad! Sister Sky loves me a lot."

'Sister Sky? Sister of Mia, daughter of Daniel Cox?' His thoughts messed up but his eyes were on the girl who kissed back Mia and lightly bit her chubby cheek before chuckling.

"Indeed!" Daniel responded with a doting gaze on both girls in red dresses.

"Sister Sky! I'm not edible" Mia rubbed her cheeks as Sky went behind Daniel towards his wife.

"Then let me eat you to know if you are edible."

He was vaguely answering Daniel but his eyes were on Sky who was making cute faces looking at Daniel's son before she left with Mia.

Seeing her stand next to Chairman Harley, he froze, 'Sky? Sky Harley?'

'If she is Sky Harley, The president, and CEO, how can she be playing around with a little girl? Why will she look pure and innocent? must be somebody else.'

He assumed himself and asked Daniel at last, "That girl who Ms.Cox went, is she your sister or daughter?"

Daniel chuckled lightly, "You can consider both. She is my brother's friend. Mia likes her too much so she calls her as Sister Sky."

Norvin nodded and asked, "Sky?"

Daniel gave a professional smile, "Sky Barton! I will meet other guests. Once again Thank you for coming."

"It's my pleasure." Norvin shook his hand and looked towards Chairman Harley but he could only see Mia with the other two men.

He looked around and didn't find Sky and saw Chairman Harley talking with Chairman Cox.

Later he was losing interest to stay and even his date complained. He searched Daniel to tell him he would be leaving but he saw Sky laughing with five men and a girl.

He liked her smiles and laughter which weren't fake. It was genuine and honest. Seeing new girls every day, he could say if a woman was faking a smile or heartily enjoying it.

He had no intention to talk to Sky or flirt with her. The women who he always went around were in the circle for a long time or would go with him for expensive gifts. He never went behind innocent women just because they were gorgeous. But that didn't mean he would trust them either. He didn't want to leave the party anymore to go clubbing, he wanted to watch her more.

But he never would have imagined her smiles and laughter would become his nightmares that could change his lifestyle in just a short period of time.
