Chapter 626 - Fire

Since employees saw her with Sam and others, they didn't dare to hang around and went inside the hall or exited quickly.

Sky went towards the entrance and ran away without getting into Arlo's hands. She reported everything Sam about it while dancing with him. He responded, "I will ask Brother Dan to look into it. Don't worry about Ivy."

"Thank you! Handsome Second young master."

He anyway flicked on her head before letting her dance with Clark who wanted to speak to her.

Clark wanted to ask unique themes for celebrating his cousin's birthday.

After that Arlo let her bid to all and took her to the Smith Mansion as nobody was in Harley mansion.

Norvin who wanted to leave saw Sky who was formidable which was opposite to how she was in the party hall.

Her line echoed in his ear, 'Learn to protect yourself. You can't run away or depend on anybody all the time'.

He always saw a woman being a victim of such a situation asking for help but Sky bullied a man. He saw her moves which were almost perfect. He understood that she was trained.

He purposefully went inside and saw she was dancing with Daniel's brother as she spoke with him and with another man who was calling her sister Sky. He furrowed his brows for giving too much attention to Sky and left.

He took her date to his villa and drowned a few glasses of whiskey before going to bed with his date. After fulfilling his physical desires, he went to the balcony wrapping a towel to his lower body and smoked sitting on a rocking chair.

He was on the second one when he closed his eyes. A few images flashed in his mind.

Mia kissing Sky's forehead holding her face with her tiny hands. Due to her sudden movement, Sky had closed her eyes with a smile hanging on her lips.

He opened his eyes as he furrowed his brows. He stubbed the cigarette and went inside the room. He wore a clean set of clothes after the shower and threw a blanket on the woman who was sleeping on the bed n.a.k.e.d and left the villa to go to his home.

Even though it was three at dawn, he flipped on the bed for a long time before falling asleep.

The more he tried to keep Sky away from his mind he was more affected until he replaced them by memories of a girl from his past. Bitterness increased and he slept.

--

In Smith mansion

Sky couldn't escape from her husband's class and her lazy Sunday changed to resting Sunday.

It was one in the afternoon when she woke up. Since curtains were closed, the room was dimly lit.

The laptop screen brightness highlighted Arlo's chiseled face. He was carefully using a keyboard, not to make much noise sitting right next to her.

Arlo sensed her gaze as his lips tilted up slightly and pulled her up wrapping his left hand around her shoulder to let her head rest on his chest. He called a number and ordered to bring lunch. Sky wrapped her hand around his waist as she rubbed her forehead on his chest, "I'm sleepy."

Anyway, Arlo fed her first and both canoodled on the bed. But it didn't last long.

Arlo received a call on Sky's mobile from Andy and quickly turned on the news. Sky froze for a few seconds but Arlo didn't get a chance to say anything to her.

"Get ready. Can you ping Sam to get on work? I'll shower."

Sky dashed in the bathroom as she spoke. Since Arlo had bathed her before she fell asleep, she brushed and was out of shower soon.

Arlo had arranged a set of clothes that she changed quickly and left towards the warehouse. She called Andy and asked concerned departments to be ready for Monday morning meeting with all the details.

Sam was near to location and reached first with the other three and Harley guards. The cops were already present and Sky asked extra security.

Harley corporation's electronics warehouse was caught in the fire. Losses and other details are unknown.

If Sky's memory was correct, Harley would face nearly a billion losses on electronic devices as it was the largest warehouse. if the second part was safe, then the loss might decrease to a few hundreds of millions excluding the warehouse damage.

More importantly, they might lose lots of customers and it would affect other projects. The insurance company could only meet on Monday which didn't really matter at the movement.

Seeing Sky take action instantly without fretting on losses. Arlo rubbed her head admiringly and remained silent.

But a call took away her calmness before they reached the warehouse. It was to inform her that firefighters found a burnt body in the warehouse.

Arlo took her mobile when she didn't respond and heard Andy repeat the same thing to Arlo. "Control media. We will reach there." He patted on Sky who gave him a bitter smile and gulped down water before saying.

"I am fine. Is there a way to avoid the news by reaching Dad? I don't want him to worry there. I will ask his assistant not to report but I don't know which villa they are staying in and who are working there."

Arlo nodded and made calls. Sky called David's assistant. Later she received Jai's call and spoke to him before getting off from the car. Due to reporters, Sky asked Arlo to stay in and went with Sam.

"Ms.Sky, Second half is safe. So expensive electronics are safe. But other things can't be saved. The body is supervisor Kenton."

"Get me his address. No need to tell anything about losses to media."

Sky strode ahead and was about to see the burnt body, Sam turned her to him, "Don't see. You... can't handle."

Sky clutched his jacket tight and took a deep breath to calm herself before raising her head to him. "Can we check inside?"

Sam nodded and blocked her view towards the burnt body and led her in before releasing her.

Arlo left the car not being able to see her take on everything alone. He reached her when she entered the warehouse.

Both Sam and Arlo accompanied her. Arlo and Sam didn't know about the second section which had fireproof walls. He couldn't understand why Sky spent so much money in the warehouse.

While exiting, Sky asked Sam, "Did you check security footage?"

"Hard disk is burnt. Peter checking other security cameras nearby" Sam replied.

They lost important evidence just like that.
