Everyone's heartbeats were in raise. They knew Jai couldn't voice out even if he alive as it had been two days he was on run. But they didn't stop Sky and kept their eyes on Sky who was looking all around anticipatingly.
Again Sky roared louder than the previous time, "Brother Jai!"
It created a lump in Arlo's throat seeing her cry out Jai's name again and again with high expectations. He took a step towards her but she ran towards one side.
Her speed was too fast and they couldn't understand why she ran like that. A few panicked thinking she might hurt herself for not finding Jai. Nobody could catch her speed and saw her stopping near a tree and kneeling.
All ran towards her.
Sky had seen a hand move near a tree which was about a hundred meters away. She had nothing else other than reaching there without caring if any animals would be around. She was feeling her heartbeat was too high than she ever felt. She only wanted Jai to be safe at that movement and nothing else mattered.
As soon as she saw Jai's pale face, fluttering eyelashes, she didn't see any wounds and hugged him tight as she chanted 'Brother Jai'
She didn't know how many times she said when a meek voice sounded, "My little sister, have mercy on your throat." Jai had used all his energy to say it.
Sky didn't control anymore and let her tears fall as she complained, "Brother Jai, you are so cruel. How can you do this to me? You know how scared I was. You are so heartless..."
Jai was too weak to speak aloud. Sky moved her ear next to his lips after seeing his lips slightly move for a long time, "Cry... Little... sister... Don't cry."
But what he said made her cry aloud.
All had reached and they saw Jai whose pant was torn and had red stains and a piece of cloth tied tightly above the knee of the left leg. His shirt had blood stains near the left shoulder.
Arlo carried Sky as two guards carried Jai carefully. When they had found the fourth teammate, they had called the helicopter near the river sending latitude and longitudes via satellite device, So they quickly went towards the river.
By the time they reached the river, Helicopter arrived and dropped the carriage where they laid Jai first before another teammate. On another side, they dropped a rope ladder.
Arlo wanted to piggyback her and climb but Sky looked at all the guards and bowed in three directions as she thanked everyone for helping her to find her brother.
The guards never heard thank you and a sincere gesture for whatever work they did till that date. Hearing and looking at her, they were dazed not knowing what to do.
Arlo, Sam, and others knew about her well hence it wasn't surprising for them. Sam, Jimmy, Clark, and Maxwell were going with Sky. She then got to know, after their helicopter leaves, Another one would pick some and another trip would pick the remaining.
Sky climbed the ladder by herself as others followed behind her. Arlo followed her closely if in case she trips and falls. A guard inside held her arms and pulled her inside before helping other men.
Sky held on to Jai's cold palm and talked nonsense continuously as she heard the feeble hum from Jai. They didn't stop her and even Sky didn't know what she was blabbering, she just wanted to hear Jai and she spoke for fifteen minutes till the helicopter landed on a hospital's helipad.
Arlo held on to Sky and went behind her as she followed Jai who was being pushed to the operation theatre. She was stopped at the door. She knew Arlo had prepared everything prior and she wished the rest of the things to go ahead smoothly.
Arlo had to move aside to receive a call. Sam and others were sitting outside the operation theatre taking a breather.
Clark took a water bottle and went near Sky but she fainted all of sudden. "Sister Sky..."
His voice was loud enough which brought everyone to her. Clark held her and heard Sam, "Sky is exhausted, take her to the ward."
Arlo was trembling when he opened a room door for Clark to enter. He was about to shout to call doctors, Sam spoke, "Relax!" as he ran towards the medicine room.
Sam knew she was holding on to her hopes for a very long time and pushed herself hard. After knowing Jai was in safe hands, she was relaxing and her body which weakened completely to let her rest physically.
Sam took the required supply and went back to the room. After inserting an IV and injecting her two medicines, he checked the pulse rate which was normal and let out a breath of relief. Five men randomly stood here and there looking at her.
A doctor came and took everyone's blood samples including Sky for the test as they were in the forest for nearly thirty hours and there could be poisons insects. On the safer side, Arlo had ordered it and later everyone was vaccinated.
The first Jai's teammate who they found was in ICU after operating on him. One who entered the hospital was in a different operating theater. A guard went up to Arlo and whispered him something.
Arlo looked at Sam, "I will just come." He meant to say look after Sky. Sam nodded in response.
Arlo had asked military helicopters and the General was waiting to know the reason behind Arlo's abrupt request. After reaching the ground floor, Arlo got into the military hummer under numerous military servicemen's eyes.
Arlo shook his hand and sincerely thanked him, "I very grateful for General Luo for your timely help. Anyday, Anytime, I will be at your service when you need it."
General Luo was in his mid-fifties. Clad in military uniform, he looked a lot younger. A smile appeared on his stern face hearing to Arlo. "President Smith, what I did was nothing compared to your help to our Army. I am just here to know the reason."
Arlo had helped the Army to upgrade the battlefield equipment and that was the reason whatever he asked was fulfilled without any questions.
Arlo kept his poker face and didn't let out any information, "We had to save few who were in the forest. I hope you understand that I can't tell anything other than this."
