Chapter 674 - Brother Jai is not waking up(3)

General Luo's face was blank for a few seconds before nodding. He took out his phone and called a number which made Arlo to furrow his brows. The former sensed the coldness from Arlo and quickly explained, "I don't know what is your relationship with lieutenant general. When he got to know you asked for two helicopters for a rescue mission, he asked me to let him have a talk with you."

The general had hung up the call while briefing. After few seconds a satellite call received and he passed to Arlo.

Arlo waited for another end to speak hence it was silent for a few seconds. A hoarse aged voice sounded, "How is President Harley?"

The military security for Sky was only in country A, so when she returns to the capital, they would get to know by her mobile location. They were taking air vehicles which made them difficult to track up. Her mobile location and Arlo asking for Helicopter would imply there was a problem.

Arlo felt like the main reason why the General met him was because of Sky. Arlo hadn't taken them seriously, now he felt the need to know the reason behind their protection.

"My wife is fine." Arlo responded coldly and the call was hung up right away from the other end. Arlo passed mobile to the general who had a surprising look for a second hearing My wife before having an expressionless face.

Arlo didn't let the general talk, "If nothing, I will make a move."

The general hummed, "Air ambulance is in Airport if in case you have to move the injured persons to your main hospital." He tried to say he had basic information too.

Arlo smirked before alighting the hummer.

The general didn't understand Arlo's simper until late night when his subordinates and military doctors reported him that they couldn't see any injured patients face. Arlo's doctors were present in the operation theater and operated on the upper shoulder section and above if any. Arlo guards covered the view of everyone from his subordinates when they were flying the helicopter.

Sky who was sleeping peacefully started to scrunch her brows tighter as she started to curl up on the bed. The beads of perspiration started to appear. When others panicked, Sam understood her nightmares about animals and dead bodies started to appear.

He held her cold palm and noticed her tightening her hold. Her knuckles turned white when his palm started to turn red. Maxwell noticed it and suggested, "Bro Sam, What's happening? Shall I wake up Ms.Sky?"

Sam shook his head. "Call Arlo."

Jimmy ran out and stopped seeing Arlo coming towards him. The latter went inside and saw Sky squeezing Sam's palm and her struggling face was getting paler.

Sam spoke after glancing at him, "I'm sure you know what to do." He loosened her grip and exited as he took all out and closed the door.

Arlo who had heard about her past nightmares about David taking her away and the mall attack incident understood she was having nightmares about her experiences in the forest where she had managed to move on.

He laid next to her and pulled her to his embrace after wiping the cold sweat. He noticed her slowly relaxing her body before falling into a deep slumber holding his shirt. He sighed resignedly.

His heart ached to see her suffer. He knew well she wouldn't listen to him if he says she doesn't have to be strong. All he can do was to soothe her.

Jai's left leg was slit by a knife and had lost too much blood. His bullet wound looked devastating to doctors. They cleaned it carefully before stitching up. Other bruises were fine. After operating for four hours, doctors reported they couldn't say anything about his conditions due to heavy blood loss. They were shocked to know how Jai survived that long even after so much blood loss.

The other two were out of danger and need a few weeks to a month's time for recovery.

Arlo was leaning back keeping a pillow backside as he held Sky and was removing IV when Sam knocked and entered the ward. He passed an earphone to him to hear about Jai's condition and removed the IV from Sky. Arlo understood the chances of Jai falling into the coma was very high.

When the blood transfusion to Jai completed, they used Sigma air ambulance instead of the military. Sky was sedated hence she was sleeping all the time. Arlo, Sam and Sigma doctors took the air ambulance. Harley jet and Sigma Jet were used by the rest.

Arlo tried to send Sam and others home but they got fresh and rested in the hospital. Arlo ordered Jimmy to go as that's what Sky would have done. They didn't meet Loran who was on the same floor, Alex followed as Sam said and didn't tell anything to Loran.

Ryan had shifted his work to the hospital when Loran shifted Sigma hospital. The former accompanied Loran as he worked. David was busy with Harley and visited Loran twice a day. The Barton parents were kept in dark.

Loran had seen Sky's letter and waited patiently for her without knowing anything about Jai. But he was very suspicious.

Morning, Sky woke up in Arlo's embrace. He woke up when Sky palm slid on his cheek. He pecked on her forehead before leaning on the headrest and pulling her up. Sky saw herself in a new set of clothes and she could feel, she had taken a bath.

"Why didn't I wake up when you bathed me?" Sky asked but she only continued, "Sedated?"

Arlo hummed. Sky looked in the room and understood they were in Capital's Sigma hospital. "You must be awake all night, you should rest. I will talk to Loran and Brother Jai."

She was getting down, Arlo held her. He first briefed about Jai's wound and pondered before saying, "... After shifting here, all tests were carried out and there is no problem but... Jai is in Coma."

Arlo held her quivering hands tightly. Sky forced herself to remain positive. "When the doctor said I would go to coma, weren't you the one who saw me wake up? Brother Jai will wake up too. Nothing will happen to him."

Arlo nodded, "Yes! He will wake up for his little sister. Don't worry." His voice was soothing to nerves. Sky hugged him tightly as she murmured continuously for some time, 'Nothing will happen to Brother Jai.'  He patted her lightly hearing her.
