Chapter 677 - Brother Jai is not waking up

Peter coughed lightly before calling, "Ms.Sky! I..."

Sky didn't raise her head from the laptop, "Excuse me, let me correct you, it's President Harley."

Peter wanted to run to the wall hearing her cold tone. She had ignored her worrisome situation and had requested him to go but hearing her using Elina's name to send him, he was vexed. Now he was paying for it.

"Ms.Sky! I'm sorry, I shouldn't have behaved that way." Peter finally said it after the third attempt.

Sky didn't reply and continued her work.

Loran who had pursed his lips for a long time let out a chuckle, "Sister Sky means to say by her behavior that there is nobody as Ms.Sky for you anymore."

Peter tried again, "President Harley, I'm sorry. I will not behave rudely again."

Sky paused and glanced at him, "Who are you? Are you an employee? I'm sorry, I don't remember. You can leave now."

Peter was tongue-tied for a few seconds and heard Loran chuckling who had no idea about Jai's complete condition yet.

Leaving his ego, Peter called her name again, "Ms.Sky!"

In a few seconds, Sam entered with lunch and saw Peter's troubled expression and understood the situation.

He kept a box near Arlo and took the other two near Sky. The latter collected and looked at him, "Did you eat? Why aren't you resting? You should head home after lunch and rest well."

Peter heard her non-cold voice and regretted even more about his behavior.

Sam hummed to Sky and informed her, "Elina gave birth to a baby girl... The day before yesterday evening."

Sky smiled and nodded at him, "Was that the reason behind the enlightenment of Mr.Jones? Where is Elina? I will congratulate her after lunch."

Peter interjected before Sam could answer, "Ms.Sky you didn't even congratulate me."

Sky ignored him and heard Sam, "She is gynecology section. I will take you after lunch... Do you want me to teach a lesson to Mr.Jones?"

Peter was truly speechless.

Sky glanced at him and shook her head, "Seeing Old uncle lose is very boring. Go and eat first."

Sam nodded and left.

Peter couldn't stop him and he badly wanted to refute that he wasn't an old uncle, "Ms.Sky!"

"Fine! Get lost now. If you behave like that again, I will show how I treat employees. Go to your wife and child." Sky said as she started to feed Loran ignoring whatever the latter said.

Peter sighed hearing her and left.

Sky reminded Arlo to eat seeing him work. Arlo had lunch first and fed her once she finished helping Loran. After medicines, Loran became drowsy and slept.

After helping her to drink, Arlo spoke stroking her hair, "Sky, being optimistic is good but that doesn't mean you have stuff your emotions inside."

She nodded and leaned her head on him, "I don't know how to wake up Brother Jai. I don't know how to help Loran to recover quickly. I don't know what to do. I don't know anything."

Arlo heard her helpless tone. Even he was helpless in those. He stroked her head as said, "You are with your brothers, that is their strength. Everything will be alright soon."

Sky didn't respond and leaned on him for some time until they heard a knock.

Sam peeked in, "Want to go?"

Sky nodded left after asking a nurse to be with Loran as Arlo wanted to join her.

Sky was damn quite which wasn't her self. The longer Jai takes, Sky's behavior would change. If he doesn't wake up, seeing the former Sky would be impossible even if Sam and Arlo do whatever they could.

They only wished Jai to wake up soon.

Peter, Elina, and her parents were present in her ward. Sky greeted them and ignored Peter.

She apologized for meeting her daughter empty-handed. Sky didn't carry the child and saw it when Sam was holding the baby. "Elina! What is your daughter's name?"

"Petal!" Elina responded.

Sky liked it and turned to Elina, "Did you choose the name by Mr.Jones' name? You should have gone by your name."

Elina was surprised, "Ms.Sky! You are right. Except for us, nobody knew the reason behind it. You are smart."

Sky gave a faint smile to her before bidding them. Peter and Elina didn't expect her arrival as both Barton brothers were injured so they didn't stop.

Sky sent Sam home so that he could rest. She and Arlo returned back to Loran's room.

After doctors approved, Jai's bed was shifted next to Loran's bed. Sky then briefed Jai's injury and condition to Loran.

Arlo noticed Loran's reaction was similar to Sky. He was optimistic too and even consoled Sky saying everything would be alright.

Sam had informed her that some coma patients could hear whatever going on around. Hence Sky handed a book to Loran to read loud enough to be heard by Jai and she worked sitting next to Arlo.

Ryan who took a break delivered a few files to Arlo. He read some pages and started to joke about a few lines which he would find funny.

Sky couldn't hold on anymore and exited the room as soon as tears started to trickle.

She entered the next room by the time tears started pouring. Arlo had noticed her quick and irregular breathing when Ryan was reading the third page joking about the Author.

He followed her immediately and saw her crying on the floor.

He knew from the morning she was controlling herself after knowing Jai was in a coma, now he understood that she didn't want to cry because she didn't want to make Loran weak.

He went back to the previous room and saw Loran wiping his cheek laying on the bed looking another side as Ryan continued oblivious of it.

He could only sigh and return to Sky. He held her close as she continued.

He understood having a loving family wasn't only about happiness in everything. Keeping others in priority, going through rough face together was also included.

When she was missing, eighteen hours were torturing for him. he couldn't even imagine her pain who went through it for such a long time and he went to a coma whereas the other one was hospitalized too.

Seeing her continue even after a long time, he tried to stop her, "Sky, if you keep on crying, who will look after your brothers? Nothing will happen..."

He heard her maffle and moved his ear near, "...up. Brother Jai is not waking up... Brother..."

He had already asked all top doctors to check on Jai. Other than that he couldn't do anything either.

He felt his heart tug tightly looking at her. He tightened his embrace without knowing what else to do.
