Chapter 680 - I am straight(3)

Arlo was in a meeting where he had connected his mobile to the projector and Ryan was presenting out the museum security-related issues.

Ryan who turned to screen after explaining a case froze looking at the screen.

'Handsome Demon! You and your wife will kill all singles. sob... sob...' 

It was a call from a contact named 'Little Wife(Heart icon)', it wasn't the only reason. The contact picture was Sky pressing her lips on Arlo's cheek.

From the angle of the picture taken, Ryan was sure, it was clicked by Sky. He wanted to praise her for focusing picture well even with her eyes closed.

The meeting attendees were concentrated on presentation hence everyone saw with their eyes wide open in shock and surprise. The complete security-related team working on Museum's security saw it including Arlo's secretaries.

But they couldn't really guess the girl as Sky as her only quarter face was visible because her hair covered half of her Jawline.

What they were more surprised were a contact name and Arlo's mesmerizing smile looking at the girl by the corner of his eyes.

Since it had been a long-time Sky went to Sigma, nobody thought it as her.

Arlo didn't care about anything and answered the call as soon as his mobile rang. He turned off the projector before going out. "Sky, what's wrong? Are you fine? Shall I come over there?"

"Hubby! Relax... I want Senior Tom's number so I called you... Did I disturb you? What are you doing?"

He sighed a breath of relief knowing there was nothing wrong. "Wifey! I will send it. Don't flirt with him for a long time."

Arlo heard Sky giggling before agreeing to him but Ryan choked on his water who was drinking it while going outside.

Ryan couldn't understand how could Sky teach VP's daughter to kiss Arlo. Now he heard Arlo telling Sky to flirt less with another man.

He was still trying to calm down himself when Arlo finished talking and sent Thomson number to Sky before entering inside.

Ryan shook his head to disperse his thoughts and returned to the meeting. He could see curious gazes on Arlo but he successfully got everyone's attention back to the presentation.

Some thought Arlo was married, some thought he calls his girlfriend a little wife. But before anybody could identify or guess Sky, Arlo had powered off the projector.

-- In the Sigma Hospital --

Sky called Thomson ignoring the time in country U. He answered after it rang for a long time and a sleepy voice sounded on another end. "Who are you? Don't you know the time to call?"

Sky wanted to tell her name but after remembering what Arlo said, she started her prank, "Hey Tom! Did you forget to pick me up?"

Her voice was extra sweet which made Loran raise his brows at her. Sky turned on the speaker and whispered to him as she heard Tom, "Who are you? Why do I have to pick you?"

Sky spoke like a wronged girlfriend, "Tooomm! You promised me to meet me at the college entrance and I'm waiting for you here. Why didn't you pick me yet? It's damn cold here, I'll freeze Tom..."

Sky had to cover Loran's mouth to stop him from laughing aloud. The call line went dead after a few seconds. Sky called again but he didn't receive the call.

She again tried and he cursed as soon as he answered, "What is f**king wrong with you? I never told anyone to wait anywhere for me. If you call me again, I will file a complai..."

"Hey! Babe, waiting for your boyfriend? How about me? Let me take you on a ride."

Sky was rolling on bed hearing Loran voice like a rogue. The latter pulled her up and whispered, "Speak... speak."

"Tooom... Tooom... Tom... I don't know this guy. He is coming to me. Tom... Tom... you there? Tom..."

Both Loran and Sky had to control hard from laughing aloud. Tom cursed, "F**k you... I don't even know you. You better not take my name if anything..."

Sky and Loran couldn't control anymore and burst into laughter one after another. Probably Thomson realized later and saw the string of numbers properly from which he understood it was an international call from country A.

He called her name in doubt, "Sky?"

"Bingo!" Sky laughed as she said.

A frustrated tone sounded on speaker, "Sky, If you were here, I would have strangled you."

Sky controlled herself and spoke, "Professor Thomson, try it when we meet again."

Thomson mumbled to himself which wasn't audible clearly to Sky and that was, 'I don't have a death wish.'

Sky continued, "Well! I hope I didn't disturb your night full of dreams or bed full of..." 'cuddles.'

"Crap! Sky, stop giving me creeps with your honey-coated words. Gosh! Keep your sweetness to your husband. Can we talk normally? What were you trying to say bed full of? I sleep alone, Alright? Are you really calling me? I'm going nuts here. Sky! please don't use your dangerous brain at nighttime, I won't be able to process it. By the way, are you understanding? Sky, are you there? Sky?" 

Sky and Loran burst into another wave of laughter. The latter spoke, "Sister Sky! If you don't stop now, poor fellow will start crying."

Sky nodded at him and spoke normally, "Professor Thomson, Relax!... you can thank my sweet little brother for joining in the prank."

Tom who had lost his good night's sleep was in no mood to thank as Loran was the reason for him to get agitated hence he grunted and heard chuckles in return.

Sky stopped troubling and spoke, "Senior Tom, you purposefully took your fiance to Harley diamonds. Didn't you?"

Tom understood she got to know about it and it was the reason for the call. "Absolutely! She used me and my family for climbing a few steps higher. Why can't I use her popularity?"

Sky's lips tilted up. It wasn't because he used Anne's popularity for her business. It was for understanding that Tom was ready to leave the baggage of his grandfather.

"I didn't know you left being Professor and working as marketing manager of Harley diamonds. So what's up Mr.Thomson Hathaway? How can I help you?"
