[The cooking disaster]
I touched his soft fingers tips. Ran my hand over his warm skin. He giggled letting me do as I please. He didn't break eye contact, his faint smile dancing on his lips.
"How does it feels? Does it feel different?" he tilted his head to the side, his curls following the motion. He took his time to answer, pondering on the right words.
"I wouldn't say it feels different," his fingers closed around my wrist and pulled me closer rapidly. A surprise yap escaped my lips. "It's that dull sensation like a ghost. You know the wound is no longer there but you can still feel it," I peered into his silver eyes and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"I missed you," his smile lit up his face.
"Sure! More importantly, she missed your cooking!" retorted Demos from the kitchen. "Come see this masterpiece she'd cooked," he called. I swirled around glaring at him. Grant pulled away and rushed to the kitchen.
"Liliane, you've cooked and not burnt the house down? I'm amazed," Demos let out a throaty laugh. I hid my flushed face with both hands. The demon, he was doing this on purpose to take his revenge.
"You're both horrible!" I could hear pans clicking in the kitchen and muffled giggles. I pulled my hands away to peek at them. They smiled pointing at the pan.
"Don't worry, Princess, I'll show you how to scrub a pan. How the hell did you burn it that bad?" he held the one I used for the stir-fried rice between two fingers. I hid my face again ashamed of my deed. Quick footsteps joined me then arms wrapped around me.
"Look at those poor tiny fingers," Grant pulled on my hands taking them in his. My fingers had cut from trying and failing to cut onions. Don't get me going about the sobbing while doing so. He brought my hands to his lips and kissed the bruises.
"Princess hands should be taken good care for," he smirked at me. Demos choked with laughter in the kitchen. What the hell was his plotting in there?
"Can the jerk shut up over there?" I glared at him.
"Can the cheesy Princess cook her own food without assistance?" Grant flashed me a smile then leaned in to place a sweet kiss on my lips. I melted in his arms pressing for more.
"I love you, Princess," he whispered against my lips. I giggled and threw my arms around his neck.
"Welcome home," I smiled.
