"That's Lee Seng Chang, the Creator's son. He just transferred to the Academy." Zoe answered.
"Ahh, the one they talk about time to time, again on the news!" Gladys said. Zoe nodded.
"Hello," Lee Seng waved. "Nice to meet you, I'm Lee Seng Chang." Gladys waved at him and then turned to look at Zoe and Dr. Valentin.
"Ahh, the whispers are true, then. I didn't think the Creator's son would come to the Academy. Well, I shouldn't keep the patient too long. I tend to over chat so I will go back to my post now. It was great to see you, again, Zoe. Come visit more often and say hi." Gladys said, patting Zoe.
"Will do, Gladys. Have a good rest of your shift, Gladys." Zoe patted. The Valentin's all said goodbye to Gladys and Lee Seng watched the woman step out of the room. The door shut behind her and Lee Seng glanced at the rest of the Valentin's.
"Gladys has worked with Dad and Zoe for ten years." Manny explained. "She knows us well and is a great nurse. She tends to stick around where Dad works cause she likes working under him."
"Ahh, favoritism at its best." Lee Seng nodded.
"Mmm, something like that."
"It's not like that. She just appreciates Dad and likes to see me, a lot." Zoe boasted. Zoe opened the case and pulled the Z-cure out. She set the case to the side and pulled the cover on the needle and looked at Lee Seng. "You know the drill. Gimme your arm." She motioned. Lee Seng stuck his arm out and Zoe quickly found her spot and injected the Z-cure into Lee Seng's system.
She pulled the needle out and they watched as the injection prick immediately disappeared. Zoe set the needle into the case and pulled a sanitation wipe and cleaned the area.
"Your body's healing makes this easy for me." Zoe smiled. "I wouldn't be surprised if you can just always heal yourself." Lee Seng rolled his arm and nodded. Lee Seng stood up and poked at his arm a couple of times before turning to look at Dr. Valentin and Zoe.
"That's it?" Lee Seng asked.
"That's it." Dr. Valentin nodded. "You're scheduled to meet with me next Saturday. Just make your way over here and we'll go through a similar procedure."
"Alright." Lee Seng nodded. He turned to look at Manny who had made his way to the door and was opening it. "Oh, what about the Nano bot?" He pointed at his arm.
"Oh yeah, that." Zoe grabbed a smaller tablet on the desk and hit a button. "The Nano bot will make its way towards your throat and you should be able to easily swallow that and let nature run its course."
"Ew, TMI." Manny shouted.
"'Ew, TMI.'" Zoe mocked. She stuck her tongue out at Manny who moved out of the room and into the hallway.
"C'mon, Lee. Let's get you some dinner at the dorm." Manny pointed behind him. Lee Seng nodded and started towards the door.
"I'll see you two later." Lee Seng waved.
"If you feel anything out of the ordinary, don't be afraid to contact me." Dr. Valentin waved. Manny waved at his older sister and dad before turning. Manny and Lee Seng made their way back to the telepad room and stepped in.
"You input it. From First Year Hospital Wing to 3rd Year Dormitory." Manny motioned. Lee Seng pulled his phone out and clicked on the Academy app. He found his way to the telepad section and clicked the first year tab. He found the Hospital Wing and hit it and then clicked onto the TO section. He hid the First Year telepads and moved to the Third Year tab and opened it. He found the Third Year dormitory and hit it and the screen next to the door lit up.
Lee Seng checked it and hit the 'okay' button on his phone. He slipped his phone back in as a beam of light shot out of the telepad, teleporting Manny and Lee Seng back to the Third Year dormitory telepad room. Lee Seng followed Manny to the elevator where a small crowd of people were waiting.
"Oi, Manny, you're going to dinner now?" A girl with pink hair asked.
"Mmm, what if I am?" Manny cracked a smile. Lee Seng watched as the pink girl instantly got really close to Manny and wrapped her arm around him.
"You usually don't eat this late. Why're you late today?"
"Oh, I had to take my childhood friend to my dad. He needed to get checked out." Manny pointed at Lee Seng and he watched as pink haired girl, followed by the crowd, turned to look at him. The girl's eyes lit up and looked back at Manny, who towered over her.
"Oh, he's your roommate and childhood friend?" She asked. She motioned for Manny to come closer and Manny playfully moved in and hovered his face in front of hers. The pink haired girl started to blushed and quickly turned his head to the side. "Did you hear what he did today?" She whispered.
"Did what?" Manny ask. Lee Seng watched the elevator number slowly climb to the seventh floor.
'The elevator is going slowly...' Lee Seng groaned in his head. His ears twitched and he continued to easily listen to the pink haired girl whisper to Manny what he did today.
"He apparently told off Poseidon. Noah is pissed and apparently is hovering in the Third Year dormitory cafeteria, waiting for the Fox boy." She whispered to him. Manny pulled away, nodding. The elevator number flashed to eight and the elevator door opened shortly afterwards. Manny didn't say much after that and the pink haired girl continued to talk. "Anyways, it must be true because some of my classmates went to eat dinner earlier and saw him. He looked pissed."
People stepped out of the elevators and poured out. The pink haired girl attempted to pull Manny over with her, but Manny easily slipped out. She turned to look at him and Manny waved for her to go.
"You go with your friends. I don't want to keep you waiting. I'll stick with him." He pointed. Manny moved over to the other opened elevator and stepped in between the door and the elevator. "C'mon, Lee. Let's go." He motioned. Lee Seng nodded and followed in after him. Lee Seng squeezed himself in the front near the middle. He moved his tail to settle between his legs. He was shoulder to shoulder with Manny and some other students.
The elevator began to descend and Lee Seng listened to students chat away. The students seemed to be avoiding talking about him. Whenever someone started to mention his name, another student nearby quickly shushed them. The elevator ride was awkward and they quickly landed on the first floor and Lee Seng moved out to the side.
"This way," Manny motioned. Manny led the way. The crowd slowly moved behind Lee Seng as he followed Manny down the right hallway. It was a straight shot to the other side of the building. The building opened up and students were going in and out of the cafeteria room. The smells of foods danced in the air and Lee Seng could hear his stomach growling.
Lee Seng entered the cafeteria and stared in amazement of how huge it was. It mimicked the cafeterias in the academic building, but had much more room for seating. Manny looked around before checking to see if Lee Seng was still with him.
"I would go over there for porridge." Manny pointed at the cafeteria line. "The school serves an arrangement of things, but if you want porridge, it's usually made by the school. Otherwise, grab whatever you want from the other restaurants here. I'm gonna go grab a burger and we could meet up and sit somewhere together if you want."
"We don't have to. I should really figure out where the rest of my new friends are." Lee Seng looked around. "I wonder if they're even here." He pulled his phone out and saw he had a lot of messages from his new friends.
"Well, I'll sit with you where ever you want." Manny smiled. "Imma go get some food. I'll meet you next to the drink machine over there." He pointed. Lee Seng looked up to see where he pointed and nodded. Manny moved towards the burger line and Lee Seng stepped off to the side to read the messages.
'They heard something happened to me and messaged me a lot about it.' Lee Seng scrolled.
Olivia: Hey, we're grabbing dinner right now if you wanna come eat with us.
Olivia: We're sitting near the drink fountain.
'She sent that about twenty minutes ago. I wonder if they finished eating.' Lee Seng looked up and slipped his phone into his pocket. He made his way into the cafeteria line and pulled a tray.
"What can I get for ya?" The server asked.
"Two servings of porridge." Lee Seng answered. The server nodded and scooped up to servings of porridge and placed them into two bowls. Lee Seng grabbed the bowls from the server, setting them on his tray, before thanking him and moving on. He moved to the end and paid for it with his phone and started over towards the drink fountains.
