Lee Seng grabbed two cups of water and set it on his tray. He found himself looking for Manny even though he didn't necessarily want to. His tail casually swayed between his legs as he waited. He spotted Manny waiting next to the pick-up line and turned around to look for his friends. The dorm cafeteria was huge.
It was a large circular dome that was on the left side of the building. Glass made up most of the walls with the occasional white pillar support. A rush of footsteps in front of him snapped him out of his observation. Olivia waved at Lee Seng and came to a stop a few feet in front of him.
"There you are! We were wondering where you went." Olivia said.
"Mmm, I just woke up not too long ago and had to get a check up." Lee Seng told her. Olivia nodded and turned to point at a table that was about six tables away from where he was. He could see Evan and Ritsuka waving at him and saw Elizabeth sitting next to the empty seat that was probably Olivia's.
"You came with your roommate and the others?" Lee Seng asked.
"Mmmhm. I came with Liz and the boys. We're almost done eating but we can wait for you if you'd like."
"Ahh, if you want. Manny and I came a bit late because of my check up."
"That's fine. Where's Manny anyways?" Olivia looked around. Lee Seng turned and pointed at the burger restaurant. Lee Seng could spot Manny making his way to him with a tray full of food. Lee Seng turned around and noticed a bulky man was making his way over to him.
"CHANG!" Noah shouted. The cafeteria went quiet and everyone turned their gaze to see what was happening. Lee Seng sighed moved past Olivia and met Noah halfway. "You think you can do whatever you want because you're the Creator's son? We have rules and you need to follow them, Third Year!" Lee Seng could feel the spit flying at him and turned his face away, slightly.
"You're...?" Lee Seng dragged for a bit.
"Noah Greenhorn, Fourth Year student and one of the Top 10 tanks in all of the Academy." Olivia introduced him. Noah nodded pleased that a Third Year had introduced him. His pleased look turned back into a serious gaze and he stepped forward.
"Poseidon may be okay with you pulling what you pulled, but I am not!" Noah shouted. "There's a hierarchy here and if you want to act like you're the top, you must fight your way to the top. Last I checked, I'm a Fourth Year and you're just a transferred Third Year who just got his powers." Noah was trying to size up Lee Seng who quickly understood what was happening and decided to take a step back. He could feel the hot breath coming down on him from the 6'4" musclehead.
Noah wore a tight t-shirt that made his muscles look even better than it was. He wore blue jeans and sneakers, but could easily pass as a bodybuilder. Lee Seng's brain began to wander and wonder what Noah's power was but was interrupted when Noah decided to take another step forward.
"Personal space, dude." Lee Seng finally spoke. He took a couple steps back and watched as Olivia hovered off to the side, in between the two.
"That's the last thing you should be talking about, Foxy." Noah shouted. The cafeteria had gone quiet and Lee Seng took a deep breath before glaring at Noah.
"What're you gonna do to me? Beat me in front of all these witnesses and force them to ignore what just happened?" Lee Seng asked. Noah snatched Lee Seng's tray of food and pulled it away from him. Lee Seng watched as hot porridge and water spilled onto the tray. "Hey, gimme my food. I haven't eaten all day."
"You'll get it IF you survive." Noah pushed the tray into Olivia's hands. She took it and stumbled backwards. Noah immediately went for a grab at Lee Seng and pulled him in. "I don't know what Poseidon see's in you, but Sanchez agrees with me. Why does a transfer student like you have to come into the Academy and tarnish its great reputation with yours?"
"Let go." Lee Seng warned.
"Or what? You're going to cause more trouble?" Noah smirked. Lee Seng bit his lip and took another breath.
"Let go. I don't want to cause trouble."
"Oh, you don't wanna cause trouble?" Noah mocked. "You should've followed the rules then, Foxy."
Lee Seng's jaw popped and his irritation began to grow. He glared up at Noah and was about to step forward when a hand shot out and grabbed Noah's.
"Enough, Greenhorn." Manny spoke. Noah's glare turned to Manny, who had one hand on his tray full of food and the other on Noah's hand. "He actually did have a problem and I just came back with him from the check-up with my father. You already know the rules. If anyone is injured or in pain, they can ditch and go to the hospital."
"Don't meddle in my business with Foxy here, Valentin." Noah growled. Manny's hand tightened and Lee Seng could hear it starting to squeeze Noah's. Lee Seng sighed and tried to pull himself out of Noah's grip. He could hear Manny squeezing Noah's unmoving hand and shook his head.
"Get to the point." Lee Seng impatiently said. "I wanna eat."
"You're getting on my nerves, Foxy." Noah swatted Manny's hand away and pulled Lee Seng in. Lee Seng and Noah's bodies touched. Lee Seng could feel Noah's hot breath above him and he shook his head.
? "I warned you three times." Lee Seng casually said before shoving Noah away with one hand and loosening his grip with the other. Noah stumbled backwards, letting Lee Seng free.
"A mere baby Third Year is going to push me around?!? That's it!" Noah's arms turned a dark metallic color and he rushed forward. Lee Seng sighed as he stood in his place. A colorful bubble enveloped Lee Seng, Manny and Noah in an instant. Noah slammed into the side of the colorful bubble and began to rattle in the bubble.
"This is what you called me for?" Zoe asked Manny.
"Yup." Manny turned to look at his sister. Everyone stared at Zoe. She looked like she was the same age as her brother, but she held herself like she was an adult.
"What the hell are you doing? This is between me and him, pipsqueak!" Noah shouted.
"You shouldn't have said that." Manny shook his head. Zoe's eyes flashed and in an instant Noah was being sent through the air. Noah rattled, slamming around in the bubble, before being slammed into the ground with a thud. Zoe moved to hover over Noah and shook his head. She pulled her shirt up to reveal the number six, on her side.
Noah switched from angry to scared in an instant. Zoe chuckled and released her shirt and grabbed Noah.
"Get up," she commanded. Noah scrambled up and Zoe held her grip onto his huge arm. "What's the problem?" She released Noah and waited for him to speak.
"He thinks he's better than the hierarchy! He's just a transfer student with direct connections to the Creator and the Numbers. It's no wonder why you came here to protect him! An easy pass here and an easy pass there! What's next, he's going to walk out of this place scott free? He needs to know his place!" Noah ranted.
"Just because he was having actual chest pain that could take out a softie like you? That's why you're mad? You don't want him disrupting the so-called 'hierarchy' that was put in place by people like you?" Zoe shook her head in disbelief. "Listen, kid and listen well. You should be thanking me for stopping you two because he would've really kicked your ass."
The students around begin to whisper and make 'ooo' noises. Noah gritted his teeth and looked away. Zoe bumped a small yellow bubble and pushed his face to look directly down at her. She smiled at him.
"He's a handful but he plays by the rules, most of the time. Don't provoke him and don't go looking for a fight like you just did and you'll be fine, got it?" Zoe asked loudly. Noah didn't answer and Zoe shook her head. "Got it, kid?!?" She shouted.
"Y-yes, ma'am..." Noah quietly answered.
"Good." She spun on her heels and glared at Lee Seng who was trying to hide his smirk. "You!" She pointed. "I know you're playing by the rules as much as you can, but you need to make sure that temper of yours doesn't get you into more trouble!" Zoe swung her hand at Lee Seng's shoulder and the bubble popped. Lee Seng felt the stinging pain of Zoe's slap and winced in pain.
"I'm not the idiot who started a fight. I even warned him THREE times, Z!" Lee Seng complained. Zoe rolled her eyes and snapped her finger. Manny's bubble popped and she moved towards Lee Seng.
"Why're teenagers so hard to deal with?" She asked. "Control that temper like Akio, Akali, and I keep saying and you wouldn't get into trouble all the time, got it!?!" She shouted. Lee Seng shrunk and lowered his head.
"Fine." He muttered.
"That's not a yes, ma'am!"
"YES, MA'AM. GODD!!!" Lee Seng complained. Zoe pinched his cheeks and then patted him, letting out a cheeky smile.
"Good." She turned to look at Noah smirking and pointed two fingers at her eyes and then moved them straight towards Noah and then to Lee Seng. "If I hear you two are fighting, I'm coming for you." Zoe moved out of the cafeteria room as Manny tried to cover his chuckles with his free hand.
