The pink-blonde Asian man named Bright narrowed his eyes at Lee Seng. Lee Seng could tell this guy definitely was Lily's brother. His face looked pain and he looked pissed to see Lee Seng.
'What did Keng do to piss someone like this guy off?' Lee Seng wondered.
"What do you mean where Keng went?" Lily turned. She drew his attention as Bright kept his swords pointed at him. "He disappeared after my brother, Philip, and him popped out of some sort of cursed chestnut tree. Philip's going to die if we don't find a healer. My brother, Winn, went on ahead to find one. Bright forced me to follow after, but Keng disappeared into thin air."
"He disappeared?" Lee Seng muttered. Bright sighed, impatiently, and pushed Lily to the side.
"Why do you look exactly like Keng? You're probably him, huh? You wanna tell me what in Asura happened to him?" Bright grabbed Lee Seng's collar. Lee Seng gulped. Bright was well-built. He was wearing leather armor and had a symbol on his leather breastplate. It was a pink flower with six petals and a ripple of circles moving from the bulb outwards.
"Bright, this is a different person! They look the same!" Lily tried to pull her brother away, but his rage pushed her onto the floor.
"Answer me! What did you do to my brother in that curse?!?" Bright shouted. For a man who knew battle, well, he hid his emotions well enough for most to not see it. Lee Seng could tell this 'Bright' wanted to cry. He was letting his frustrations out while he held his sadness in.
"A curse?" It was the first words Lee Seng said after thinking for awhile. Bright's grip tightened as he pulled Lee Seng closer to him. His angry breaths were pushing onto Lee Seng as Lee Seng studied Lily without moving his eyes. Lily was scared. She was crying and trying to get her brother to stop his angry actions. "Look closer, Lily's older brother. I have no tails."
"You, what?" Bright looked past and noticed Lee Seng didn't have any tails. Bright looked at him and noticed his ruby and sapphire eyes. "Your eyes are the same! You're playing a trick on me! Answer me, Keng! What did fail to do that got my brother in that state?!?"
"Enough!" Lily shouted. She stood between them as she looked at both of them. "He can heal Philip!"
"No, he can't! He lost his Light! You saw it!"
"Keng lost his Light?" Lee Seng whispered.
"We're in this mess because you couldn't heal him and Lily was too shaken up to heal him! There are few healers in this Village. Did you know that? Philip will perish because of you! I hope the blood on your hands stains deep within your mind!" Bright pushed him away. "Come, let's go, Lily." He grabbed his sister's wrist and marched off.
"I don't know what happened but Keng would never let someone die!" Lee Seng shouted. Bright stopped and released Lily's arm.
"Bright. Don't." Lily spoke too late. Bright was already turning and running at Lee Seng. His angry screams echoed around them as he swung.
'Shit.' Lee Seng lifted his arm and blocked the attack. The swords barely cut into his arms, drawing fresh blood. Lee Seng's chest began to burn. Something was definitely wrong with all of this. 'Repulsion.'
Bright flew backwards, landing on the ground as Lily jumped out of the way. Lee Seng lowered his arms, wounds healing in an instant as spots began to form in his sight.
"Argh." Lee Seng clutched his head.
"DIE!" Bright shouted. He was acting like an angry animal bent on revenge. He swung wildly. The anger that burned in his eyes made his moves too predictable. Lee Seng barely managed to dodge the attacks. The sword flew straight for his face, cutting his cheek and nose before Lee Seng moved away.
"ENOUGH!" Lily shouted. Music began to play as she tried to calm her brother down. Lee Seng wiped the blood as Bright watched his attack fade. The cry of a large beast caught their attention. Lily's music was making it hard for Bright to react.
"End the music now, Lily!" Bright shouted.
"No! Calm yourself he isn't the—"
"SKRAW!" A large bird swooped down for Bright.
"More work." Lee Seng appeared on Bright's right side and simply looked at the bird as he clutched onto the syringe. The bird stopped mid-air and suddenly flew backwards into the ground. Lee Seng lifted a single finger and flicked downwards, watching the large bird's neck snap in half.
'How did he get there so fast?' Bright thought. His face turned to fear. The ending song might've allowed him to move, but the fear painted across his face made it hard for him to move. 'His energy… It's different, too.' Pressure pushed onto the large bird, crushing it as Lee Seng turned around. Golden energy wisped off of him as he let out a groan.
"Damn this migraine." Lee Seng shook his head.
"Are you okay, Lee?" Lily asked quieter than usual.
"I'll be fine." Lee Seng massaged his head as he opened his eyes. Bright looked up at him, fear suddenly washing away. His anger had oddly subsided and was replaced with a feeling of peace like he didn't have to be hostile towards this 'Lee Seng.'
p "W-what just happened?" Bright asked. Lily stepped over and looked up at her taller superior.
"What's wrong, Lee? Migraine hurts too much?" Lily asked.
"Yeah… Had it for the last… Couple of months on Earth." Lee Seng nodded.
'Earth? He's from Earth. So there are two of them?' Bright's eyes looked over at Lily. She nodded at him like she heard him.
"This is Lee Seng Chang, the Vessel. The Twin Spirit of Keng." Lily formally introduced her brother to Lee Seng.
"I was trying to tell you that, but you wouldn't listen." Lee Seng blinked a couple of times before reaching a hand out at Bright. Bright found it odd. The young man he was accusing had noticed the large bird and killed such a creature in two blows.
'He didn't even do anything, either… What is this guy?' Bright wondered.
"My name's Bright Wang. I'm Lily's older brother." Bright introduced himself. He grabbed Lee Seng's hand and felt Lee Seng's strength pull Bright up with ease. The two shook hands before they both pulled away. "I'm sorry about how I acted… I… We don't have time for this. Can you heal my brother?"
Lee Seng looked over at Lily. Between Bright and Lily's expressions, he knew it was serious.
"Sure. Take me to him."
Bright, Lily, and Lee Seng made it to a building that had a plus sign over it. Lee Seng assumed it to be the hospital and was right as he listened to many people groaning.
"Where's my brothers?!?" Bright asked, loudly. A woman stepped out and pointed in the back.
"They're back there. P-Philip sustained too much injuries and he… He's cursed. They can't do anything to him." The lady explained. Bright and Lily pushed past. The woman's eyes laid onto Lee Seng as he gave a polite nod at her before following after. "Isn't that…?"
"Winn?!?" Bright called out. Winn stepped out of one of the rooms and turned to see Bright and Lily running towards him. "What's up with a curse? The lady told me he can't be healed?!?"
"H-he can't… He's gonna die at this rate." Winn sighed. Lee Seng caught his attention. He immediately got defensive and tried to move as Bright stopped him. "Why are you stopping me?!? He did it to our brother! Why do you let him come with us?!?"
"You can heal him, right?" Bright asked, turning. "You can deal with curses, right?"
"I think so." Lee Seng nodded.
"You think so? How is that any comforting?" Winn snarled. He tried to push past Bright, but Bright simply pushed him away. "You're going to let the one who's responsible for this do—"
"Enough, Winn." Bright sternly spoke. "He'll explain himself after our brother's life isn't on the edge of death." Winn puffed his cheek and turned.
"Fine."
"Come, Lee Seng. Let's go inside." Lily pulled him past Bright and into the room. LEe Seng stepped into the room and noticed an older woman sitting next to an unconscious young man in bed. She looked up as Lily ran over to her and hugged her. "Mom, he'll try to heal Philip."
"Isn't he—" Lily's mom began to speak when Lily cut her off.
"No. The other one."
Lee Seng moved over to the opposite side and looked at Philip. He had holes all around his body.
'It's a miracle he even lived this long.' Lee Seng thought to himself as he pulled the bloodied sheets off. Purple runes engraved themselves across Philip's arms and onto his abdomen and chest area. What looked like nonsense to the others, Lee Seng could make it out.
"Granted power to kill the Curse by a Curse. The Curse of Living shall bind itself to this one…" Lee SEng whispered. "Curse of Living… in exchange for killing a Curse, he became one?"
"What?" Lily's Mom looked at Lee Seng. "What did you say? My baby boy cursed a curse to defeat one?!? Why?!?"
"Momma, stop!" Lily tried to hold her mother down as she stood.
"What did you do to my baby boy!?!" Lily's Mother cried out. Lee Seng's eyes went from Mother Wang to Philip. Philip looked like he was out but his mouth began to move.
"Huh?" Lee Seng leaned in.
"His Light… He couldn't do it… I did it… to save us all…" Philip weakly told Lee Seng. "It's… my duty."
