'His Light faded?' Lee Seng pulled away from Philip. Philip weakly nodded at him. His face darkened as he turned away for a moment. Bright and his twin brother, Winn, were standing near the door. Winn and Bright watched him closely as he rubbed his temples. 'This migraine is getting too intense.' Lee Seng let out a sigh before turning to look at Philip. He was looking up at him like he was possibly his savior.
"One thing at a time, Lee." Lee Seng whispered underneath his breath. He stepped away from Philip and turned.
"A-aren't you going to heal him?" Winn asked.
"Just a moment…" Lee Seng groaned, clutching his head.
"What's wrong with him? He doesn't look like he sustained any damage." Winn looked towards Bright for answer. Lily stood up, leaving her mother's side and going to Lee Seng's.
"There's some medicinal remedies that can remove your migraine at home. I'll lessen the pain for you now, but can you really heal my brother? It's a Curse. I thought Saviors eradicated Curses, not heal them." Lily whispered, strumming the ukulele. The pink energy washed over Lee Seng. The pain in his head slowly lessened. It was becoming manageable.
"I'll heal him." Lee Seng nodded. "I'll figure out how to get rid of the Curse, too. For now, he needs to be healed." Lee Seng turned and walked over to Philip's side. Someone had started to wrap Philip in gauze but stopped. The bloody sheets were soaked in his own blood and Philip was becoming deathly pale. Lee Seng lifted his hands over Philip's body, breathing in.
'AI, can I heal his injuries and get rid of the curse?' Lee Seng asked.
[Hmmm… User is able to heal the injuries. I'm not sure if you're able to fully remove the Curse.]
'I can heal the injuries but maybe won't be able to get rid of the curse… Could I transplant the Curse into me?'
[Notice: Transplanting a Curse from Philip to yourself will work. I would be careful, though. You may be resistant to Curses, but it doesn't mean you're Immune to them.]
'Resistance to Curses… You should've told me this before. At least, shown me it on my stats.'
[You never care to ask.]
The smirk remark of the AI in his head made him bite this inside of his lip. Lee Seng let out a sigh and nodded.
"Let's start." Lee Seng quietly spoke. "Twin Sun Form." Lee Seng lit up in golden light. His tails manifested behind him as his human ears disappeared from the side and moved to the top of his head as Fox ears. A large magical circle of light appeared around Philip as Lee Seng allowed the energy to flow freely from him. "Heal."
Just like a dam, the golden energy poured out of Lee Seng like a gate opening. It rushed into the circle and poured itself into Philip. Philip's body glowed, brightly, as Lily and the others shielded their eyes from the Light. The magical circle began to spin as Lee Seng watched the curse runes start to light up.
'The rune scripts… They're slowly changing.' Lee Seng observed Philip's body began to heal at a massive rate. Blood stopped pouring out of his wounds, the holes in his body quickly closed and Philip's pale skin regained color. Lee Seng moved his left hand and touched the Curse runes.
[Notice: You are attempting to take the Curse for your own?]
He paused for awhile. Philip could deal with the Curse as a reminder for what he did in order to save his Village and family or Lee Seng could bear it for himself.
'Which one would be better?' Lee Seng wondered. 'I don't know these people. They're Lily's people. He clearly knows enough to incite the strength of a Curse onto himself to kill another Curse…'
There wasn't much information to go off of. He let out a sigh and began to trace the Curse runes. He wouldn't attempt to pull it onto himself, but he would attempt to remove it. The magical circle pulsed as it grew bigger. More magical circles appeared, hovering above Philip as Lee Seng traced. Golden script began to fill itself within the runes as wrote.
"What's going on?!?" A man's voice boomed. Winn and Bright turned. Their father, Fan'r stood behind them. "What happened?"
"D-dad." Winn muttered. Fan'r pushed himself through and noticed the Golden Fox tracing the Curse runes.
"What're you doing?!? Are you a fool?!? Writing the Curse will only bring more misfortune to the bearer!" Fan'r shouted. He began to move when Lee Seng's form flickered. The Golden Sun, Rox'su, stood in Lee Seng's place. For a moment, Fan'r stopped. Whoever this person was, wasn't just a Blessed champion of Rox'su. No, they were loved.
Twenty minutes passed and Lee Seng was finally nearing the end of the Curse script. He had gotten rid of ninety percent of the Curse and was growing tired.
[Notice: Energy levels are low. Remove Curse needs more Energy to continue.]
Lee Seng let out a gasp as his form flickered. Everything he was doing would disappear if he didn't get fed Energy.
"Energy…" Lee Seng spoke. "I need more. Almost done." Lily began to step over when her father pulled her to the side.
"I will do it." Fan'r spoke.
"Dad…" Lily muttered.
"You stay here, dear. I have an infinite life source. I will do it for your brother and my son." Fan'r stepped over to Lee Seng. Lee Seng turned and lifted his left hand towards Fan'r. Fan'r raised his hand to stop him. Sweat was trickling down his entire body. His shirt was getting soaked. "You are the Vessel, I assume? Lee Seng?"
"Y-yes… Sir." Lee Seng grunted. He moved his hand, again but Fan'r stopped him.
"You will save my son?"
"Y-yes… Sir." He moved his hand closer to Fan'r and Fan'r grabbed Lee Seng's wrist. Lee Seng could feel the immense strength in his grip. His concentration began to fizzle. The magical circles began to die as Lee Seng winced in pain. "Why should I let you remove the Curse from my son?"
"Your anger… goes before your own son?" Lee Seng retorted. He may look weak to Fan'r in all aspects, but the truth in his words and eyes told Fan'r enough. Fan'r released his grip as Lee Seng snatched Fan'r's wrist. Pink and green energy began to pull from Fan'r to Lee Seng.. His concentration came back and his work was still there. He glared at Fan'r as he continued to sap his energy. It looked like it had no effect on the Pink Fox Spirit.
"You stay over there, Father." Lee Seng pushed Fan'r's hand away. "You could've made things worst for your son." He turned and continued to write.
Five minutes later…
The entire Curse script had disappeared off of Philip's body as Lee Seng dropped to the ground. His body was exhausted and the migraine was back. It hit him hard as he tried to suppress Eleven.
'It seems that virus fled to here… I wonder where he is? Maybe you should just let me take over and I'll kill that old bastard and his entire family. I'll get rid of all of your problems here.' Eleven chuckled.
'Shut up.' Lee Seng shook his head. He had never understood how he could do such a feat. Suppressing something that physical, mentally and psychically attacked him. He had to deal with all of that and still deal with everyday life. It was exhausting. Eleven's chuckles continued as Lee Seng rubbed his temples.
'You're cocky.' Eleven smiled. 'All the more reason why I need your body.' Eleven pressed his hand onto Lee Seng's chest. Lee Seng gasped as he clutched his chest.
'Stop. Go back…' Lee Seng growled.
'You're no fun.' Eleven whispered in Lee Seng's ears. 'There's only so much time before one of us comes out. Me… or that so-called nightmare.'
"Lee? You okay?" Lily's small voice pierced through his thoughts.
"Huh?" Lee Seng looked up at her weakly. Lily tilted her head and sighed as she crouched. The ukulele floated to her right as she studied him. "I'll be fine… I'm just tired."
"Philip, are you okay?" Mother Wang's voice asked.
"I'm… Fine." Philip quietly replied. "I'm not dead." Philip let out a chuckle as his mother embraced him.
"Why did you do such a thing?" Fan'r asked. "Why did you take a Curse to kill one? You could've fled! You had a Savior with you, too! What happened to him?!?" Philip pulled away from his mother and scooted himself on the bloodied bed. He looked at his Father, who stood at the foot of the bed.
"The Curse affected him, Dad." Philip sighed. Lee Seng and the others looked at Philip as he began to explain. "So much so, he might've lost his Light. I don't blame him for anything. I Cursed that Curse in order to save us. It's my duty."
"It isn't your duty to kill yourself in the process for someone we barely know!" Fan'r shouted. "You could've died! Me or your brothers or your sisters or those Villagers protecting this Village would've had to kill you if you were taken by the Curse! Do you not understand the situation you're in?!?"
"I understand, Father." Philip spoke sternly. "Do not blame Keng or Lee Seng. They did nothing wrong."
"Philip, you shouldn't talk to Dad like that." Bright warned him. Philip's serious eyes went over to Lee Seng.
"You should know what happened. His Light was being eaten by that thing. If I didn't do that, we would've all died and that Curse would've been able to evolve into the next thing." Philip spoke.
"The next thing?" Lee Seng asked.
"A Cursed One."
