Isaac was the first to move. His pink aura didn't surround him. It permeated the air like a perfume as he used the full length of the spear to his advantage. Keng grunted on impact as Isaac quickly continued his combo. He pulled the spear back and pierced, again. The spear slid past the daggers, sparking as Keng moved his head to the side, dodging the attack.
Iaac quickly flicked his wrist, letting the spear move to the side. The spear punted Keng in the head, forcing him to stumble off to the side. Isaac pulled the spear back to his side. The spear glimmered in a pink aura as he pierced the air.
"Piercing Heavens!" The air distorted around the spear releasing a blast of energy straight at Keng. Keng barely managed to start a shield of water and gravity as the Piercing Heavens hit him. The shield shattered, rocketing him backwards towards the crowd of people still standing around. Keng bounced, sliding to a stop. His daggers were scattered in different directions. Isaac let out a smirk as he sprinted at him.
"Well, this looks like Isaac is the one on top." Win commented. Jacob and the others all stood together, watching.
"Mmm, he didn't even let Keng do anything." Bright agreed. He motioned at Keng. "He didn't even have time to shield himself. I think Isaac will close out the fight with another strike." Lily kept her eyes on Keng. She watched him stand and summon the daggers. The runes glowed, enlarging the daggers.
"I think they're feeling each other out." Lily disagreed. Bright, Win, and Philip looked at her.
"How can you be so sure? It looks pretty one sided to me." Win asked.
"Just watch." Jacob told his siblings. He watched as Isaac went in for some jabs. Keng's energy began to swell enough that it was visible to him. He had watched Keng practice with Gorrum, Elder Jyu'so and even Philip. He wasn't totally aware of how strong Keng was, but he knew Keng was observing. "Keng hasn't even done anything yet. He's only been observing."
"Observing?" Bright and Win spoke at the same time. The twins looked at Jacob. Jacob looked interested in what was about to happen.
"Why would he observe in a match? That leaves more openings." Win asked. He turned to watch as Keng continued to dodge the jabs and strikes sent by Issac. Keng easily dodged the attacks, never deflecting unless it was necessary. "He won't gain much from watching Eldest brother." Win grumbled.
"They're both holding their cards right now." Philip commentated. "Keng doesn't want to do anything to reveal his cards. It's why Isaac is only using Piercing Heavens and jabs. He doesn't want to show anything else, too."
"And Eldest brother didn't want to fight." Bright shook his head.
Keng jumped to the side as the spear flew forwards. Keng let out a breath.
'He's holding back, too.' Keng thought. 'I won't be too flashy. I'll just use what I normally use with some Displacement mixed in there.' The energy in the enlarged daggers glistened and became more focused. Isaac seemed to notice this and switched his stance. 'He's on guard.'
[Displacement Mark #1 was used.]
Keng blinked towards his enemy, showing up mere inches away as he swung downwards. Isaac raised his spear, pink energy from around him pulling into the spear. The reverberation of the two energies shook the area, creating gasps. Keng let out a smile. Isaac's eyes narrowed as the two energies pushed against each other.
"You're pretty strong, aniki." Keng smiled. "To think someone's flat out blocked one of my stronger gravity hits pretty well. You're not a normal Fox-Human, are you?" Isaac let out a grunt, pushing Keng backwards and pulling the spear as his body turned to the side.
"Sound Form: Glaive's Dance." Isaac spoke. The spearhead and body shifted. The pole shifted into something more fancy with a red exterior with gold engravings. The glaive head was sharp and flat with a tassel. It reminded Keng of Philip's Glaive.
'Philip has the same ability…' Keng thought. 'I wonder if Isaac is the one who inherited the ability to do everything the brothers do.'
"Glaive Dance One: Blossom Strike." Isaac blinked from his spot, showing up a couple feet in front of Keng as he slashed horizontally. Pink energy blossomed outwards, cutting through Keng's aura armor. Blood spilled as he tumbled backwards from the hit. Isaac grabbed onto the glaive and took his stance. It was completely different from his Spear stance. The wound closed as Keng spat out blood and wiped his face.
"Ah, I didn't think you'd do the same thing as Philip." Keng told Isaac. "You're quick."
"Do you think this is a good time to talk?" Isaac asked. "Will your enemies let you talk?" Isaac blinked forward and slashed at Keng, again. This time, Keng was ready for him. He easily dodged the first attack. Isaac continued his swings, Keng barely dodging the attacks that were speeding up.
"Glaive Dance One: Blossom Strike Frenzy." The swings got quicker and held more energy with each swing. Keng was barely able to catch up with the swings. Isaac was using his range advantage against Keng.
"Displacement." Keng whispered as the glaive slashed straight through where Keng was. Keng pulled back to his original point, off to the side of Isaac about fifteen feet.
"God Weapon Art: Waves of Mercy." Keng sent out waves at Isaac. Isaac's pink energy swirled as he took a defensive stance.
"Glaive Dance Four: Spinning Counter."
The Waves of MErcy bent and swirled around Isaac as he continued to keep the defensive stance. With a single switch, he swung the energy back to Keng. The multi-attack flew straight back for Keng as Isaac mouthed something under his breath. The pink energy in the air shimmered as Keng put both of his enlarged daggers up. A bubble of gravity and water exploded out of the blade as the sent back energy flew at him.
Water splashed against the shield as the air rippled around Keng. Keng gritted his teeth together as he pushed back. That's when he noticed the pink energy flying at him.
"Sound Spear Stance: Sonic Blast!" Isaac shouted. Keng flew up in a cloud of smoke as the air billowed outwards into the crowd. The healers that had stayed to get a glimpse of Keng, screamed protecting their faces as dirt and smoke flew outwards.
"Did he do it?" Bright asked, covering his face. An uncomfortable feeling was swelling in Lily's chest. Was it her own nerves or did she know the outcome? The smoke pushed away, revealing the outcome. Keng held the pink energy in the air. The glowing spear of Sonic Blast had concentrated energy under the guise of creating a blast of energy.
"What the–" Isaac gasped. He watched in surprise as the three-tailed Fox held the energy up. It was inches away from his chest.
"He almost died there." Win commented.
"Ah that's why wind and smoke flew everywhere." Philip pointed. "Keng shot the barrier outwards, matching the energy of Isaac's AOE portion of the Sonic Blast while focusing his energy on the second half of the move." Lily's heart was jumping in her chest as she watched KEng barely hold onto the energy.
"He might not be able to hold that." Bright commented. "Should we–"
"ARGH!" KEng shouted, shoving his arm outwards. The condensed pink energy flew up into the sky. Keng let out an exhausted gasp. Isaac flew at Keng, ready for the next strike.
"Enough." Jyu'so shouted. Isaac stopped, spearhead pointed straight at Keng's eye. "I think we've seen enough." Jyu'so looked towards Gorrum. Gorrum jogged over as Isaac gave Keng one last look before pulling away.
"Alright, that's enough." Gorrum looked at both of them. Isaac let out a sigh of relief and released his weapon. The pink aura died as Keng released his. He let out a sigh of relief as he rubbed the eye that was about to get stabbed. "How are you feeling, Keng? Does everything seem alright?" Keng didn't answer immediately. His mind was focused on Isaac. He could see relief through Isaac's body language.
"Are you okay?" Gorrum shook Keng.
"I'm fine." Keng smiled. It was an obvious lie. The spear had almost cost him his life and Isaac was obviously the one with the upper hand. He broke off from Gorrum and walked over to Isaac and stuck out his hand. Isaac turned and looked at Keng. He had a smile on his face and lifted his hand like he wanted a handshake. "Come on. Good match."
"Yeah, good match, I guess." Isaac shook Keng's hand. The two pulled away and Isaac wondered why Keng was still smiling at him. He had just almost killed Keng twice. "Why are you still here?"
"Do I barely pass your expectations?" Keng asked.
"Huh?" Isaac replied, surprised. "W-what do you–"
"The bet. Did I pass it? Can I take your sister with me?"
"Oh, uh…" Isaac took a couple steps back. "I, uh…"
