Eleven watched as Cesar appeared in front of him in an instant. The security guard emanated a cold breeze as black and purple energy moved all throughout the house. Cesar shook his head as Eleven pulled the girl forward.
"Found her. She was hiding." Eleven smiled.
"Did you search the house?" Cesar asked. Eleven looked back at the cosmic-like energy. "I'm looking for it right now."
"You caused a scene by breaking a guard's arm." Cesar told him, unsatisfied. "And now you make a mess of things? Do you know stealth at all?"
"Nope." Eleven smiled, turning around. "I'll find it, Mr. Cesar~ Don't you worry." Cesar sighed as Eleven left the girl with him. The fear in her eyes was everything he needed to know. Eleven had done sloppy work.
Eleven waved his fingers around as the cosmic-like energy moved around the house. The house was picked clean by the time he found what they were looking for. It was an old device. The knowledge he got from Lee Seng and the Internet would tell him this thing was a…
"Voice recorder?" Eleven whispered. "I didn't think these existed. Well, I shouldn't underestimate anything. They are basically living in the 90s.." He tossed the recorder into his opposite hand as the cosmic energy flew back into his body. He turned around and shook it as Cesar stepped into the room with some guards.
"I found it." Eleven smiled. He tossed it to Cesar as he quickly made his way towards the door. "Can I see the Fox guy?"
"No. He's unavailable to talk." Cesar answered.
"Froze him?"
Cesar didn't answer. Eleven nodded and tried to move past. The guards threw their hands up. Cesar turned and stuck the recorder into his pocket.
"Halt. You're coming with us." Guard One ordered. "You injured one of our people. We've already lost so many men today. We don't need to lose more to someone like you, Deimon."
"Serves him right to act all macho. He should've let me do my job." Eleven replied. The guards closed in on him. Cesar sighed. Eleven was causing trouble… Yet again.
"Enough." Cesar ordered. The guards turned to look at their Master. "This one is young. Forgive him for what he's done. I'll make sure to repay you for the damage and allow us to get what we need."
The guards gave Eleven another look before reluctantly agreeing to their Master's request.
"Please refrain from causing more trouble." The guard spoke directly to Eleven.
"And he will." Cesar whacked Eleven in the back, forcing him to bow. "I'll make sure he learns to be polite. It's like he's forgotten manners ever since he became a Deimon. If you'll excuse us… We have matters to attend to with this one." Cesar glanced at the scared teenage girl.
Eleven followed Cesar towards the other side of the city. They had come from a secret telepad that was only accessible by the Deimons. Cesar stopped shortly before the entrance and turned to look at Eleven.
"Sadly for me, I have to leave you here for the time being." Cesar told Eleven.
"Why?" Eleven asked. He was confused by the sudden order. Cesar usually didn't ever leave him alone because "he caused too much trouble."
"Keep an ear out about the prisoner. I have a feeling something might happen. I need him alive until I convert him. Your job is to make sure no one has any bright ideas while I'm gone." Cesar explained. "Oh," he pointed a finger at Eleven. "Don't go around toying, breaking bones, killing, maiming, or anything of the sort, alright? These people work under me, technically and I don't need you to ruin what I've worked hard for, got it?"
"Yes, sir." Eleven grumbled. He glanced at some of the passersby and let out a sigh. "I'll babysit while you're gone. You don't have to worry about me causing trouble. I'll be a good little Deimon." Cesar frowned when Eleven mentioned he would be "good." He had his reservations about Eleven, but the Deimon's personality was aggressive and… Not at all bright.
'It'll just have to be this way.' Cesar thought.
"Don't cause trouble. I'll be back after I send her and the recorder back to HQ." Cesar told Eleven.
"Yeah, yeah. I know. No trouble whatsoever. Only watching and interfering only if something happens to that Fox guy. I know." Eleven nodded.
"So you can listen."
"When I want to." Eleven motioned. Cesar shook his head and continued his path straight for the telepad. As soon as Cesar disappeared, Eleven spun around on his heels. He sucked in the fresh yet kinda stale air and watched people avoid him.
"Is there anything fun to do here?" Eleven wondered, walking off. He took his time getting to know the city. It was the first place outside of that armored city. He shook his head as he noticed a cleared out land of grass. People we're sitting and milling about.
"Did you hear?" A girl looked at her friend. "Y'know that Fox guy they brought in the other day?"
"Yeah? What about him?" The friend replied.
"Well, I heard he killed fifteen of the Lady's finest men. They apparently got taken down quickly."
"That Fox guy did that? There's no way. Fifteen of them died, but it couldn't have been because of him. Who told you this ridiculous rumor?"
"My cousin saw it happen! They tried to swarm him and he took off to the sky!" The girl pointed upwards. Her friend shook her head as she playfully pushed the girl away from her.
"And what? He got rid of them in the air? There's no way that monster could've pulled it off." The friend disagreed. "Fifteen fire and wind users who excel at that sort of combat died in the air?!?"
"It's true! Let's ask him! The others are saying the same thing!" The girl defended her stance.
'That Fox guy did that…?' Eleven's eyes moved over to the building with the Fox guy. 'Should I ask?'
It was cold. Really cold when Lee Seng heard himself gasp for air. He collapsed onto the ground as a cold puddle of water formed around him.
The sounds of his chattering teeth echoed around him as he tried to get a grasp of what was going on.
'He froze me…' Lee Seng managed to think. 'I'm out. I need to get out.' He glanced at his wrists. 'I gotta get these off of me.' Lee Seng weakly began to try to pull the dampeners off. 'Ugh, they won't budge…' The chattering of his teeth grew loud as he eventually gave up and laid in the cold water.
"I-I-I… I should m-m0-move…" Lee Seng weakly told himself. He slowly pulled himself out of the puddle, clothes squishing as he flopped onto his back. He shivered as he wrapped his arms around his body. "W-w-warm up… I could… I-i-i-i-if I could just…"
'Get these things off of me first.' Lee Seng reminded himself. 'Then rip those bars and escape… Then what? Blow my way to the top? That sounds too straight forward and stupid… But I don't have much of anything else to go off of.'
Lee Seng tired to flip himself over. His empty pockets, reminding him he had something important to do. He let out a frustrated groan when he finally realized why he was even here in the first place.
'The pendant.' Lee Seng thought. He raised his arm up and looked at the bare wrist. 'My watch and the pendant are gone. I need to find them.' The sounds of doors opening drew his attention as two pairs of footsteps started down the hall somewhere to his left.
"We're to string him back up?" A lackey asked.
"Yes." Lackey two replied. "He's probably unfrozen by now and weak. We'll just string him back up on the chains. If he fights back, we'll subdue him however we need to. He can just heal it back anyways."
"Why do we keep a monster like this around? What's Boss thinking about?"
"She's trying to gain favor with the Masters. If she can do that, we'll all become Deimons." The two appeared off from the right side and came to a stop in front of the cell. Lee Seng didn't even bother to look at the two lackeys. He was tired and cold.
"Hey look. He really is out of it." Lackey one pointed as lackey two fished for the correct key.
"Told you. Anyone would be exhausted after that much torture." Lackey two replied, pulling the correct key out. He began to stick it in as a single thought popped into Lee Seng's head.
'You're only cut off from the Energy. Cut off what needs Energy and what do you have?' Lee Seng's tails exploded from his back, pushing him up as he stumbled onto his feet.
"Wha—" Lackey one began to shout when Lee Seng's tails slammed into the lackey's chest, sending him backwards into bars that bent under his strength.
"His tails aren't based off Energy! Someone Hurry—" Lackey two felt the tails slam against his head. His entire head rattled as he dizzily moved side to side. Lee Seng quickly wrapped the lackey up in his tail and slammed him against the wall.
