Chapter 107 - Back (1)

The breeze was gentle yet cold, it blew against her skin sending a shiver down her spine and the hair on the back of her neck stood up because of the cold. Even though the snow was already melting, winter was still there. But Alexandra can handle the cold unlike before where she would shiver and it seems like she would stiffen or every movement is hard because of it. Alexandra let out a sigh before she took a bite from the cake she was eating.

Her morning earlier was still the same as usual. Take a bath, change clothes, style hair, eat, walk around the garden and talk with the other maids, and eat lunch. Then here she is in her afternoon tea party with her father and brother. Silence surrounded them and Alexandra couldn't find the right timing to talk or to tell her father what her decision is about the thing yesterday. Because of what Carlos and Diana told her yesterday night after her small discussion about being introduced to everyone inside the palace, it helped her on deciding. She is going to let herself be known by everyone in the palace even if they would think of me as a bad person, what I only need to do is to show that I'm a harmless person. I don't have any magical abilities nor I don't know how to defend myself, I only have the memories of my past life which I don't know how I'm going to use it.

Well, my memories in my past life are rather helpful since I am pretty much knowledgeable about things because of it. And it helped me in certain situations like dealing with those irritating people and how to talk with them without them getting more annoyed or irritated. She is actually referring to her brother, Prince Chandler.

Finally, after like a whole hour of silence, her father finally spoke. "Have you decided?" Was what he asked and it took Alexandra some time to process and realize what he is talking about. It's about the thing we've talked about yesterday, she thought to herself before she responded to her father with a smile as she nodded repeatedly. "Yes," She said and the expression that was plastered on his father's face turned into a more serious one when he heard his daughter's response to him. "What is it? I am not forcing you to agree on it, it's okay if you deny. We will just find the right time and if you are ready," Alexander said but Alexandra just smiled at him as if she was telling her it's okay.

"Introduce me to everyone. Diana told me that it's normal that they will think bad about me but I can change that. What I need to do is to show that I'm kind and that I'm really now that type of person they think about," Alexandra said and Christian just stared at them talk with each other. The confusion was written all over his features when he heard their conversation. What are they talking about? What about introducing her to everyone? Do they mean that Alexandra will be introduced to every person in this empire or just inside the palace? He asked himself multiple questions which he knows he can't answer and only Alexandra could answer it. Too bad, they can only spend less time than usual because Alexandra's tutor will teach her once again starting today.

"You don't have to worry about anything, they are all kind and friendly. And your identity will only be revealed outside this palace which is the whole empire if you are ready," Alexander said and he sipped from his cup of tea while looking at Alexandra who took a bite from the cupcake she took from the stand or something. Alexandra munched on the cupcake before she gulped it down and spoke right after. "What if the Church doesn't agree about it or would oppose?" Was what she asked. "And? The Elders are way above them and their agreement, permission, and decision are way more powerful than the church itself," Alexander said and he took one last sip from his tea before he placed down the cup and crossed his legs, leaning back on his seat. He looked way more intimidating than before because of the way he sits, he commands so much aura and power that it looked like he was a dragon inside his den, sleeping on top of his pile of gold and treasures.

"What if they don't agree?" Alexandra asked. "They would never do that," Alexander said.

--

"What were you talking about with father?" Christian asked as they were walking along the hallway of the Diamond Palace. Their afternoon tea party just finished and their father still have many things to do despite that it's Sunday and people would usually rest or take a break from work at that day but since her father is the emperor and he has to rule the empire, making sure that it's safe and nothing bad is happening there. Alexandra looked at him at the corner of her eyes and saw that he was looking at her, their gazes met and Alexandra smiled at her.

"Father is planning to introduce me to everyone inside the palace since it's better to do it early than later since it would cause a commotion or many problems. Besides, it's much better. Imagine this, I am your sibling, wait, we're actually siblings. Just imagine you being the only son, you have no siblings and such but then I suddenly appeared after 15 years and father told you that we're siblings. I was just being hidden or something, what do you think will happen? What will you think about me or father? What will be the effects of that?" Alexandra responded to him. It was like she was teaching something important to him as he listened to him attentively, not missing a single word that escaped from her lips. It took time for Christian to process everything he heard from Alexandra and that's where he understood what she said.

"Wait, father is going to introduce you to everyone? As his what? His daughter?" Christian asked, slightly confused and shocked by what he heard from her. Alexandra nodded, "Yes, as his daughter," Alexandra responded. Her father is going to introduce her after 3 days where there are fewer things to do and the rest day of her tutor. Thankfully, her father decided to give Ferdinand a day of rest as well as Alexandra. Learning and teaching every single day is rather exhausting and tiring. Christian's eyes widened for a moment before it sparkled in delight, hearing the news. He was happy and proud as if these two did a science project together and was chosen as the people who had the best work or he looked like one of those people who got a raise or promotion. He looked happier than Alexandra when she heard her father say that to her. It was probably 2 days ago.

"This is it! Father seems like he doesn't hate you or anything anymore!" Christian looked like he was celebrating in joy and excitement. "Don't worry, if you need help from something, you can easily approach me. All the servants here are a kid but some are arrogant, it's normal that you will encounter people like that in your life. What are you planning to do? Are you going to do what you did to Brother Chandler and Brother Calixander?" Christian asked. He became instantly talkative. He was willing to help her in everything because that's how siblings should be, he believed.

"No, I don't know. I'll think about what to do. Giving them what they love or like would probably be hard considering that they might not accept it or something thinking that there might be poison inside because of what they think about me during that time," Alexandra responded as if shutting everyone up. "That's true, I'll help you and think about what you should do in order to help you with this. I am excited and very happy for you," Christian said, smiling at her wide. His face was beaming with joy and excitement. His voice was rather loud and filled with joy as he spoke. He looked like a proud brother and Alexandra could feel how warm her heart felt because of that. She also can't help but be happy and smile because of that reaction of his. She finds it cute.

"Thank you, brother," Alexandra said in a gentle voice, her voice rang inside his ears and it sounded soothing and silky. It was so soft, smooth, and clear. You could listen to her voice every day and never get tired of it even if she has a sore throat or something that is obstructing or stopping her from speaking properly, her voice still sounded warm and gentle as always. The expression that was plastered on her face was filled with joy and excitement yet at the same time, anxious and nervous about what is going to happen next. "Anything for you, my dear sister," Christian said, speaking in a gentle and sweet voice. The way he calls her 'dear sister' shows how proud and happy she is to his sister. She was a cheerful, energetic, social, talented, and understanding sister but at the same time intelligent and kind.

They were walking silently once again and by the time that they arrive at the stairs where Christian will use to go up to the library, there are only 20 minutes left before the tutor arrives, so after bidding their goodbyes, they immediately made their way back to the palace. Panicking and worried that the tutor was already there and waiting for them. Thankfully, they were able to finish it properly.
