Chapter 133 - Visitors (8)

Right now, Alexandra was talking with the young prince along with her brother, Christian who was quiet the whole time for he doesn't even know what to talk or tell them about. They were talking about escaping or something like that. How they did it and when did it happen then what happened to them as soon as they were discovered. It was obvious that Alexandra has the bad habit of escaping or going somewhere without telling anyone about it as she looked like a carefree and wild person despite her gentle and calm expression or personality.

She is an adventurous type of person although she looked shy and awkward at first when you first meet her. "There was this one time that I left my room during the middle of the night because of the wistalia trees glowing. It was a full moon back then and I just couldn't help it, that was probably my first escape during the night. Although Diana caught me and scolded me in the end, she tightened her guard and would roam around the palace in the middle of the night to check some things and see if I am inside my room. I think I was 5 during that time. Come to think of it, I was that young yet I already learned to escape," Alexandra said and let out a soft giggle in the end which resonated inside their ears.

They were still walking around the garden but Alexandra wasn't bored from all of these flowers but rather, she was interested in it as well as the butterflies fluttering around the place. I wonder if those butterflies are the same species or are they a different one? Is it the same as the ones in my previous life or not? They looked almost the same, she thought to herself.

"Well, I was also 5 when I attempted my first escape and it was a failure. The guards and my knight immediately caught me, and guess what, that was the first time that I felt my father's anger. Although he just warned me though he was still scary, like he transformed into a completely different person when he becomes mad. Well, but I am still reckless and adventurous, I attempted my second escape after my lessons to take a rest at the courtyard without telling anybody. It took them hours to find me and I was scolded again. Maybe I was born as a ninja after all," He joked in the end and let out a laugh.

Alexandra and Prince Julian were somehow similar to each other as they have the same bad habit and almost the same personality. They might look calm, gentle, and obedient at first but they really are adventurous. They yearn to gain some knowledge and earn some by doing some small adventures and small things which lead them to discover important, useful, and big things or information. This would probably be the reason why they easily get along.

Although Alexandra escaped the palace or went somewhere without telling anyone multiple times including the market one and carnival one with Harrison, she didn't tell him about it and told them that she rarely do it because of Diana. She would be screwed if they learned that Alexandra was going outside the palace without telling anybody and was with only Harrison whose complete identity was truly unknown for them.

"Then have you went outside the palace without telling anybody, Julian?" Alexandra asked in a curious tone of voice, her eyes wide with curiosity as she tilted her head sideways while looking at him. Julian hummed before he responded, "Nope, that would completely anger them and I would be locked up in my room for days as punishment or my training would be doubled. I don't want that to happen to be honest. It's scary and boring. Besides, I should act properly since I am the next in line for the throne and rule over our kingdom as the king," He responded, his tone of voice trailing off as he draws near to his last sentence. He sighed and he somehow looked dejected.

"Don't you want to be the king, your majesty? I mean, Julian?" Alexandra asked him. "Not really, I just felt like my actions are all limited unlike you, you can roam around freely and do things without being cautious," Julian said and Alexandra's eyes widened after hearing his response. Oh, so that's why he looked dejected, she thought to herself and a faint smile spread across her lips. "I am also being cautious of my actions too. My brothers except for brother Christian are all scary and intimidating. Well, brother Gilbert might look intimidating at first but he is somehow kind. I don't know, I just felt like it. Besides, I can't get out of the palace either just like you. I also get bored doing the same thing every day and I want to have an adventure with someone I really am close with," Alexandra said to him as she smiled at him.

Her voice sounded sincere and genuine, the expression on her face wasn't bright but there was clearly happiness. I'm glad that I found someone who is also the same as me but I pity him because he can't have his own freedom. I heard that mostly the kings were just arranged with someone but some weren't, there would be a high chance of winning or something if you married a female with a high rank or if she came from a noble family or if she is well-known.

"I see," Julian said and he let out a soft chuckle before he continued what he was about to say, "You know, it feels like we will really get along well because we almost have the same personalities and bad habits," He said and Alexandra smiled at him before she said, "That's true. I was also thinking about that and I am glad that I found someone who is like in the same situation as me," I can completely relate to him and it has been so long since I felt this feeling, Alexandra thought to herself as her smile widened.

The peaceful and bubbly atmosphere that surrounded them made them feel at ease and relaxed as they walked around the garden. The sweet scent the flowers emitted wafted to their nose and butterflies fluttered around the colorful garden filled with different types of flowers and plants. Alexandra and Julian continued to talk and converse with each other and Alexandra would let Christian join in their conversation too if he wanted to do so.

--

Alexandra was being tucked in her bed by Diana after she ate her dinner, took a bath, changed her clothes, and combed her hair with the help of Diana as always. She was pretty exhausted for today and she completely just want to fall asleep, however, there was a question lingering inside her head which prevents her from falling asleep and distracting her. Alexandra let out a sigh and decided to ask Diana about it, she called out to her after she was tucked in her bed and Diana sat on the bed. "Diana," Alexandra said in a gentle tone of voice, her voice low sounding like a whisper but Diana was able to hear it.

"What is it, young miss? Are you thirsty? Would you like me to tell you a bedtime story or sing you a lullaby to make you fall asleep?" Diana asked him as she was sitting on top of the bed as she caressed Alexandra's cheeks which felt soothing for her and made Alexandra relaxed and comfortable as the softness of the bed slowly hugged her body. The warmth of the bed engulfed her too and it made her sleepier but she still wants to ask Diana about it. Her curiosity was just overwhelming her and it felt like Diana had more knowledge about it and answer her truthfully.

"I met with Prince Julian and King Raphael today," Alexandra started and Diana smiled at her before she responded in her gentle and sweet tone of voice, "Yes, I heard from Carlos. What is it about them? Are they scary for you? Did they make you feel awkward or uncomfortable? Do you hate them? You can tell me everything and you can ask me any question," Diana said still smiling at Diana as she caressed her cheek. "No, it's not that. I became close with Prince Julian today but I didn't have the chance to talk with King Raphael as he was talking and discussing some important matters with my father at the gazebo in the garden. We were just walking around actually but I want to ask you one thing. It's just a simple question," Alexandra responded as she smiled back at Diana.

Diana hummed and she stared at Alexandra as she waited for the next thing that she will say along with her question, "Are King Raphael and my father really close with each other? They looked close to me since they were acting friendly, although it's just King Raphael, and my father didn't mind his actions as if he was already used to it," Alexandra asked her, curiosity lacing her voice as she spoke.

Diana hummed before she responded, "Well, yes. Since King Raphael rules over the most powerful kingdom under Queenilia Empire, it's normal for the two of them to interact with each other more often because of some things. He was like his right hand and source of information when it comes to some things and King Raphael probably got some new and important information that's why he came to the palace. He would usually bring his 1st son along with him and let his assistant do all the work for a day or two although his wife would also help in doing so," Diana responded.

Just like Carlos, Diana also witnessed it before multiple times when she was still working back in the Diamond Palace for the emperor. They would greet the king whenever he arrives along with his eldest son who is now the same age as Christian. He started bringing the prince to the palace when he turned 4 years old, they looked pretty cute back then.

"I see, thank you for answering my question," Alexandra said and she yawned. "You're welcome, young miss," Diana responded with a smile spread across her face. Alexandra hummed first before she said to her, "Can you sing me a lullaby, please? My favorite one because I would like to hear it again, it has been so long since I last heard you sing it," Alexandra said in a gentle yet pleasing tone of voice. Diana just couldn't help but smile widely after hearing what the miss said.

"As you wish, young miss," Diana responded.
