Chapter 144 - Another Encounter (4)

"There is no need. I already learned the basics and almost all of the lessons there. I am currently under training by Sir Friyedor, he is the one who is teaching and training me. I am basically a palace wizard under training who is also a candidate to be an Elder. The people in my family and bloodline are all powerful when it comes to magic even the females," He responded in a nonchalant tone of voice and Alexandra couldn't help but be amazed as what she just heard.

"Wait, it's possible for people like you who haven't graduated from the academy to be a palace wizard and candidate to be an Elder?" Alexandra asked. "If you have the talent to do so. That old ma—I mean, Sir Friyedor saw some talent and potential in me and decided to take me as his disciple. I wonder why it isn't my older brother who is obviously more powerful than me when it comes to magic," He said and shrugged right after he spoke.

"That's amazing! You must be very amazing and talented," Alexandra said, there were sparkles in her eyes. It felt like stars were living inside it, twinkling. Her smile turned into a wide grin, her face beaming with joy and excitement. The boy's eyes widened in surprise and he averted his gaze away from her, his cheeks slightly being tainted with red. "It's nothing, really. It just because of my family genes and how I was trained even when I was still a child. There is nothing to be amazed about it," He said as he turned his head away from her as if he was hiding his blush on his face when Alexandra could clearly see it.

Cute, she thought to herself.

It seems like I have encountered another Tsundere. Alexandra couldn't help but grin widely as she stared at the boy in front of her. "What? Is there some dirt on my face?" He asked and looked at her at the corner of his eyes, slowly regaining his composure and cleared his throat. Alexandra just smiled before she responded, "Nothing," And she turned around before she continued walking.

Arthur came from a family filled with powerful people even the females are powerful. Wait, I remember reading a book and Diana telling me about the only bloodline who are powerful when it comes to magic, even the females there are powerful. Alexandra's eyes widened and she suddenly turned around to face Arthur which startled him and made him jump because of shock.

"W-What?" He said, calming his racing heart down. "You… Are you a Castillo?" Alexandra asked him as realization suddenly hit her. The boy just nodded and said, "Yes, why?" He said in a nonchalant tone of voice. The Castillo bloodline, they help the empire when it comes to battles and wars, they are composed of powerful users of magic but not a single one of them were wielders of Holy magic or Dark magic but they are great at controlling and using their magic that makes them powerful and strong. "I see," Alexandra just said and continued walking.

Arthur just followed her from behind looking like a bodyguard or something. Alexandra noticed this and decided to slow down her pace to match his so they could walk together, side by side. "Do you like books?" She asked him and he looked at her before he replied to her question, "Not really. I just read some," He said. "I really like books, I often visit the library here and read books with my brother Christian. I am actually looking for a book that teaches you magic and things like that but I only see the history of it and such."

"Do you want to learn how to use magic?" Arthur asked her. Alexandra hummed before she responded, "Yes, although I know that I might have low mana since I am a female, I could probably do Tier 1 or Tier 2 spells but I don't know how to do so," Was what she said. She badly wants to learn how to use and control magic ever since she learned about its existence in this world. Even if it's just some simple spells, it would make her happy.

"I can teach you."

"Yeah, thank—Huh? Wait, you are going to teach me?" Alexandra looked shocked and confused as she pointed at herself, she stopped from her tracks and looked at him as he was still walking. Is he for real? He is really going to teach me? Somehow, Alexandra felt excitement and joy rushing through her, overwhelming her system. He stopped from his tracks and turned around to look at her, a dead look on his face, "Yeah. Besides, even though you are a female, you are still an Everly. This is the first time that the bloodline had a female and we don't know if you are as powerful as the other members of your bloodline. I already knew about your existence a long time ago when I first entered the palace as Sir Friyedor's disciple and I was really curious about what kind of magic you wield. Even when you are still a female, you still have mana within you whether it is only a few," He said and Alexandra's eyes sparkled.

The expression on her face was bright and joy was written all over her face. She couldn't help but grin widely, her grin reached her ears. "Thank you very much, I am very happy. When can we start? Wait, you are a disciple and a palace wizard under training, right? What about your other tasks?" Alexandra asked him. "Don't worry, I am on a break for a week and I have plenty enough time even when I am not on a break. It's not like every day I have tasks to do," He said.

"Then are we going to start tomorrow? What about in the morning or after my tea party with my father? I am free from lessons and my tutor once a week," Alexandra said, she can't hide her excitement from her tone of voice. "That's fine with me," He said and nodded before they began walking together once again. As they were walking together, they talked about so many things and learned about each other. Even though Arthur was silent and would just speak when she would ask him a question, he was fun to be with.

Maybe it was because he rarely talks to anyone aside from his mentor or teacher, that's why he was shy and such when talking with her. Alexandra finds it cute and she was happy that she made another friend today.

--

Later that night.

Alexander, as usual, was alone inside his office doing his paper works but he was distracted. He was thinking about so many things. He let out a sigh and placed down his pen before he leaned back on his seat, his head was aching in pain. He pinched the bridge of his nose with the use of his thumb and index finger. "Your highness, would you like some water or something to drink?" Lysander asked him when he noticed him looking stressed.

"No, I'm fine. I just want to rest for a little," He said but as soon after he said that, he heard a knock coming from the door. Who would visit at this time of the night? I'm sure that Alexandra would be in her bed asleep by now since she would usually be the one who will visit me during the night. I am sure that it is not Christian either as I know he would either be asleep or reading inside his room. "Come in," He said in a low voice after letting out a sigh.

He heard the door open and Friyedor emerged from it. His long blonde hair was tied up in a ponytail and he wasn't wearing his cloak. He was still in his formal wear, the one he wears under his cloak, beige pants, beige vest over a black long-sleeved dress shirt and plain black shoes. "So you know how to knock, after all," Alexander said to him and stopped pinching the bridge of his nose. "Well, it's the middle of the night and barging in would just probably annoy you more since I annoyed you so many times already today," Friyedor said as he grinned at Alexander. "I'm glad you know that," Alexander responded.

"Well, what is it that you want to say? I am sure that you want to talk about something because you wouldn't just visit here over nothing while still wearing your formal attire," Alexander said and raised his eyebrow as he looked at him. "You are as sharp as ever, my dear grandson," He said. They weren't connected by blood but since Friyedor sees Alexander's father as his son, he thinks of Alexander as his grandson. "I am here to talk about that girl," Friyedor said.

"Which girl? My daughter?"

"No, not your daughter. I am talking about the little girl in the academy," Friyedor replied. "Oh, the one who wields the Holy Magic," Alexander said. The reason for King Raphael's visit along with his son was to talk about the girl who probably wields the Holy Magic who is now attending the academy. "Yes, I believe her name is…" Alexander cut him off and continued what he was about to say.

"Elise. Elise Clarissa Greenwood."
