Chapter 175 - For the past years (1)

And so, 32 months has passed. Equivalent to 2 and a half years.

So many things have happened in the past 2 years and 8 months.

Alexandra was already 10 and she was going to turn 11 soon, in the next year. Her birthday was in September and it's already November now. Christian was already 11 years old and is going to turn 12 in the next year too. Although, a few months ago, he went to the academy along with their brothers which means she was alone since her brothers weren't around and her father was always busy with work but they would always have their tea parties. She was gradually getting used to Christian being not around. They would sometimes send letters to each other when they really want to talk with each other or they miss each other.

But it's not that bad, she didn't feel that lonely because Arthur was with her. Since she was already 10 now and her mana already developed, she was able to use some spells. Tier 1 spells to be exact since she was still a beginner and she probably has low mana. She could create a small ball of the fire yet it was hard controlling it because even though she just want it to be a small one, it would always end up big then Arthur would panic and would try to extinguish it by using another spell. It would be bad if the garden would be burned into ashes just because of a Tier 1 spell.

It was hard trying to control it though. Unlike Prince Julian from the Luminaria Kingdom, when they first met, he threw the small ball of fire towards her thinking that she was an enemy but Alexandra was able to extinguish it by throwing a snowball. To think that their first encounter would end up like that. Talking about Julian, along with his father, they would usually come to visit the palace when they have time, especially during their vacation. Prince Julian was also a student after all but he wasn't a student in the Queenilia Imperial Academy where her brothers are, each of the kingdoms has their own academies that teach magic and such so Prince Julian was a student in an academy in his kingdom.

Because of their visits, Alexandra became quite close to him and they get along. He was kind of like Christian but he was gentler and more polite towards her. Christian, although he was gentle and kind, he would sometimes fight with his brother and his comebacks are always insulting, like a sword that was pierced to your heart. To think that Christian also has that side, she thought to herself. Well, it's amusing and interesting anyways, it's not like it's bad that he has that kind of side.

Going back to the topic, Julian would bring gifts whenever they come to visit. Like cakes or books after he learned that Alexandra liked those instead of jewelry and dresses. That's probably how they began to become close to each other.

Harrison was still the same as usual but he got busier as months and years and passed by. He would still appear inside her room as always during the night. It was because of Elise who he is still teaching despite the months that have passed and he became one of the strongest students in the school when it comes to magic. He hated it at first but then he sort of became used to it and began to like it, he would receive gifts like cookies and sweets every day. It's not even Valentine's day yet his desk was always filled with such things. There are some girls enrolled in that academy and have high mana. Most of them came from noble families.

If only they knew that he wasn't a 12-year-old kid but actually an adult man who was just in his child form. Ah, how devastating and stressing it would be for him if they knew that he was actually old. Well, it's not like that didn't happen when it comes to her brothers. Knowing that they were princes that came from a powerful and strong bloodline as well as being powerful and strong when it comes to magic, aside from that, they were also a bunch of good-looking people. Even Christian who just entered the academy was also suffering from it. He wasn't used to it, he was only used with one person giving him sweets every day and that was Alexandra.

But their personal knights are there to stop it when it becomes overboard or when they can't handle it anymore. Alexandra could still remember the letter Christian wrote, it was all filled with how stressing and unexpected it was that some girls would swarm over him like flies and give him sweets when he just entered.

Harrison is about to graduate from the 1st cluster or level in the next year and Alexandra is pretty excited about that as well as him since he would be freed from Elise. But Alexandra wasn't sure if he was going to continue and attend the 2nd cluster or level, it was optional but you would learn so many things in the 2nd one. However, Harrison was only there because he wanted to check something and he was looking for someone. There might be a chance that he wouldn't continue anymore.

Calixander was already 17 and was about to turn 18. He is about to graduate and is on his last year in the academy already. On his 18th birthday, there would be a big celebration and a grand ball would be held. Since he is about to turn 18 during that time, that means that the crown will be passed to him when the current emperor retires from his position. I wonder how big that celebration will be, she thought to herself and tried to imagine it. Maybe it's as grand just like the balls that she would read in some fairytales in her previous life when she was a child. Alexandra could only let out a sigh knowing that she can't attend it. Her existence and identity were only known to the people working in the palace and some people her father trusted but it's not like she hates it.

It would be chaotic and problematic if her existence was known to everyone. But it just feels bad when you are left out and they are doing so many fun things, her actions were always limited and she can't go out of the palace unless Harrison decided to and they would change their appearances. Alexandra let out a sigh once again.

"H-Hey, Alexandra! Focus! The ball of fire is getting big. I have to extinguish it quickly!" Arthur called out to her and grabbed her attention, pulling her back to reality as her train of thoughts were abruptly cut off. Seeing the ball of fire floating on top of her hand getting bigger, her eyes widened and she panicked. It became bigger than before and Alexandra stiffened in her position, "W-Wha-What?! It's getting bigger, what should I do? Arthur, extinguish it quickly before it becomes bigger and would burn everything down. I don't know how to stop this! How do I stop the flow of mana? A-Arthur, it seems like I have forgotten what you have taught me! W-Wah!" Alexandra stuttered out as she panicked.

"On it!"

With the use of a spell, Arthur chanted out a few words that Alexandra wasn't able to hear and understand as she was focused on the fire that gets bigger and bigger as seconds passed by on top of her palm. She was so lost and absorbed in her own thoughts that she forgot what she is currently doing. As usual, they were in the garden and Arthur was still teaching her how to properly control her mana and use spells properly. In just a blink of an eye, the fire immediately died down and relief washed over them. Alexandra let out a sigh of relief. Even Arthur who was normally composed and expressionless let out a sigh and he sat down.

Alexandra looked around the place and her eyes darted at the palace. Right, I am started living here since last year, she thought to herself as she stared at the palace. Some of the palace's exterior designs were covered with gems and diamonds that looked like stars twinkling in the sky during the night. Yes, you read that right. Alexandra moved and is already living in her family's palace as she should be. After her family decided to visit her palace together, they noticed that it was small and it lacked all the things that she needs. Although there were enough maids for her and they always attend to her and do everything that she wants.

She could still remember how Calixander told their father that he let Alexandra, their sibling, live in this kind of palace.

-- Calixander along with their father and siblings entered the palace. This was the first time they all went together. Christian went here once before during the winter star but they only went to the courtyard, garden, dining room, and the living room, they didn't explore the whole palace as Alexandra thinks it was big and it would be tiring.

"Father," Calixander suddenly called out to their father and stopped from his tracks, making the others stop too. Alexandra tilted her head in curiosity and wondered why he suddenly called out to Alexander. "What is it, Calixander? Did you saw something unusual?" His son who was known for having keen and sharp eyesight, he can easily spot something that looks different and unusual.

"You let Alexandra live in this small palace?"

"What do you mean by that?"

"What I mean is that this kind of palace doesn't suit her, look around. It lacked so many things. It doesn't have enough chandeliers and paintings, as well as decorations. This isn't enough for her, she should live in a big one filled with all the things that she needs," Wait, what? Hold up for a minute, Alexandra thought to herself and she blinked in multiple times. Her eyes were wide with wonder and confusion.

"I agree, father. I would like to suggest that she should live with us at the palace. In that way, if we want to see her, it would be easy since she is just near us. We don't have to walk and go to another palace just to do so," Chandler then joined in the conversation.

It feels like Calixander was telling their father that letting Alexandra live here was a foolish and bad decision. 'I thought you were such a wise and intelligent person' was what Calixander's expression was saying. "Wait a minute! Are you telling me that I am going to live in the Diamond Palace?"

"Yes, what about it? Don't you want it?"

"But what would happen to this palace?"

"It would still be yours, of course. You can visit and stay here at any time that you want but you are to officially live and stay in our palace. I was blinded with such thoughts before that I decided to let you in this kind of palace when there are other palaces that are better than this."

"Then, what about the maids? Will they come with me too?"

"Only some. There are plenty of maids in our palace."

"Then it's decided, Alexandra will officially live in the Diamond Palace," Calixander said with an expressionless look on his face. They didn't even let Alexandra decide. How ridiculous.

And just like that, she was going to live in the Diamond Palace along with her brothers and father. But the Wistalia Palace is still hers, the only problem is how can she go to the lake during the night when its full moon? The way to the Diamond Palace to Wistalia Palace was long and tiring, she would pass out from the cold and exhaustion even before she arrived. Her room was heavily guarded with Carlos on the outside and she was on the top floor, the last one. It's the floor where her brothers and father's room can be found so there would be other personal knights seen. She couldn't just jump out of the window or the balcony.

Aside from that, a full moon will only happen once in a month and for Harrison to decide to appear inside her room during the night when its full moon, that would be rare. She isn't that lucky. Alexandra could only let out a sigh with that thought inside her mind.

She only let Diana, Daisy, and Yulli. They are the only ones who insisted and begged for them to remain by her side except for Diana, of course. It was already obvious that she will be the one that Alexandra would pick. The other maids were given some compensation and gift. One of her maids who came from a noble family wanted to stay by the young miss' side but Alexandra insisted telling her that she should live a normal life as a noble instead of becoming her maid. They were given some sort of help so that the families that they were supporting would have a good life as compensation for taking care of Alexandra for years.

So many things have happened in just 2 years.
