Unaware of the ongoings outside, the pair continued their window-shopping?

The man was lurking in the skirt section of the shop as he did mental imaging of her in those skirts and rejected many of them, while the lady concerned, had already chosen a three-piece suit and only wanted to select a color for the day.

In the silent space, suddenly the voice of the man reverberated, "Linlin, I want to see you in a skirt."

Without a second of wait, a reply came back, "No!"

It was good that the staff was not here, or they would have vomitted blood ma.

"No! Not in the office. I'll wear one at home", and we are once again fed with dog food and shown that she was really soft to him.

Meilin never wore jewelry except for some few events and if it was a certain thing a certain someone gave her, leaving that 'exceptional cases' aside he knew her well so, he didn't put them in his eyes.

In his case, if he had decided to gift her anything at all, then it will be custom made, the only type in the world just like she is, to him.

Wandering around the shoe section, his eyes directly fell on a pair of black PRADA stilettoes, a pair of glossed-textured leather pumps with small diamonds inscribed into a crown shape at the ankle-end to be exact.

It would definitely look sexy on her snow-white skin and will create a contrast with her pale skin, just imagining it made his face turn wild.

He directly took the 5-inch beauty to the changing room.

Just then Meilin came out of there.

The slim-fit dress pants made her long legs seem longer and ended just above her ankle and as you may have guessed, she was in black.

It's just that he understood her quite well.

Today she will be working with him throughout the day, visiting different sites and establishments to get hold of their ongoings.

It might seem coincidental that they are visiting QE too, but all these choices were made subconcsiously by her.

Black will make her mingle in the surrounding while the MC was himself, the CEO....she will be acting as his shadow and hence the choice of colour.

Did he mind her acting as so?

No, he didn't.

They were both aware of what needs to be done.

It was not a day's decision when he chose to become the CEO.

Meilin was someone who never wanted to be bound to anything or anyone except him. So, reigning over the empire was never a choice for her.

He knew what the Empire meant to her and their family and hence didn't want anyone else to take her rightful place and he himself, chose to take the throne in order to bind her to it, though indirectly.

But he is also aware that the masses will only take the orders from the Emperor, making her stand out was never an option to him for both their sake and the Qin Empire's sake.

If there is something that is never enough, it's people's gossip. It won't change a thing but they never took chance, a ripple can cause Tsunami somewhere...it's a proven fact.

The last thing they want is an internal war, Meilin has kept a perfect balance in the family so as not to have him take the burden of those so-called petty ongoings inside the family itself so, he made sure to let her have a place for herself, where she can relax and do what she deems is best for her and what she likes without a worry,.... the only condition being, she would be tied to him.... forever.

Was the choices he made for her or only for his selfish desires only he knows, but as long as she is beside him, he won't even mind signing a devil's contract.
