Chapter 233 - Reconciliation

"Mr. Qin!" Mai blurted out of shock. She didn't notice Qin Yu's footsteps earlier and thought he appeared of thin air. Instinctively, she stepped back. The psychological trauma she had experienced in this man, made herself almost wet her pants.

She reverted her gaze from him and to her master.

It seemed that her master also realized the presence of the man. Mai didn't notice when Su Ci Yi stood up and was in front of them now. It's like a passing wind that comes by and when she knew she's already there.

" Mai, I'm going home now."

Su Ci Yi spoke to her and walked passed the man, pretending that she didn't see him. Qin Yu persistently followed. Still in a dark mood.

Mai and Mudo were worried about the ambiguous atmosphere of the two. Even strangers would think that something is going on. The stark silence of the two could even penetrate the onlookers.

"Will master be okay?"

Mai cannot help but wonder. Although she was afraid of the fluctuation mood of the young master, but Su Ci Yi's temperament isn't something that is a mere trifle. This couple's level of intimidation with each other was on par; both equal and no one is falling behind.

"It's all part of the relationship. They only had a lover's quarrel. Soon they will patch it. No need to worry."

Mudo, like an expert but have to experience it yet, explained to his little sister who was still wet, a few years behind him. 

He didn't need to ponder deeply on those two because right now his body was aching from the sudden trail of movement he had conducted. Both his back and neck were in pain. His muscles were stiff and some of his nerves ache.

But he didn't mind it at all. Little by little he will become strong. Then he'll know his purpose then.

Though his resolve is weak and resolute free, he still wanted to grasp it. His older brother was already out of the Island. His studying there to pursue his course. After he graduates, he will work and will take responsibility to finance his sibling's schooling. But Mudo, by that time his brother graduated, he will be old and by that time, he knew he already found his resolve. Though, he didn't really want to pursue his education because the tuition fees were so high on the mainland; he wanted to give that opportunity to his little sister.

The distance between Mai's house to Qin Yu's parents is only a stone's throw away.

Yet this time, when Su Ci Yi was walking together with him, it seemed that the road to go home is terribly long. Qin Yu was following her behind that she didn't dare to look back because at this moment, she could feel his dark aura.

This is the first time that she saw the man's temper. The first time that she felt awkward and awful inside. The feeling of suffocation and uncomfortableness when he's within her parameter. And Su Ci Yi didn't like this feeling at all.

The setting sun had sunken beyond the vast horizon. And the clouds gathering behind displayed an ambient color of dusk setting - fiery red-orange. The atmosphere is breathtaking; fully mesmerizing every onlooker and uplifting their gloomy mood. It seemed that the birds were also rejoicing to the astonishing picturesque of the sky. 

And because it is turning into night, there are a lot of playing children on the road running towards their respective homes. Their loud laughter and boisterous teasing with each other didn't escape Su Ci Yi's ears.

Walking along on these nostalgic scenes, Su Ci Yi couldn't help but stopped and gazed at the far-away horizon. This place had a unique setting sun that she will remember after her vacation here. Above the waters, the glistening fiery sun as if trying its hardest not to submerge and go off, yet the passing night was urging it to retire to its own base now.

Qin Yu also stopped his motion and looked at the direction where her gaze settled.

Though he didn't quite understand the inspiration he could get like her, he still appreciated it. The passing of time had already calmed his mood and his fluctuating emotions were finally subsided. He can't go on being mad with her at all.

Later, it was him who first spoke to her,

"Yi, let's go home now." Feeling that they had been standing for too long, and the dusk is approaching, he reminded her.

Su Ci Yi didn't respond to him but only looked at him once and walked ahead. Qin Yu only sighed deeply as he tried to catch up to her.

Sure enough, it's really difficult to chase his future wife. He thought that he will need a lot of patience and effort if he will stick to her through the end of their lives.

The road will be full of thistles and thorns.

There will be times when it's too difficult to even proceed.

And Qin Yu was taking all the risk into this relationship.

At this moment, he decided to give in. The atmosphere beyond him differed from his earlier self, and the dazzling atmosphere might have contributed to the eas.e.m.e.nt of his mood.

"Yi... don't walk too fast or you might trip. " His voice now was gentle, that soothes a fragile heart.

Su Ci Yi slowed down. 

Qin Yu ran to her side and the two walk beneath each other.

"Mr. Qin."

Qin Yu perked up his ear, hearing her call to him in a distant tone, he felt disappointed but her next sentence quirked his lips up and bolted his high spirits from his solemn mood.

" I'm sorry."

Su Ci Yi spoke in a little tone that Qin Yu doubted if he heard her clearly. 

Su Ci Yi already said what she wanted to speak and there's no way that she will repeat it again. It's up to him whether to accept it. Earlier, she also pondered that it's her fault why people get agitated on herself. It's not only Qin Yu but Su Ming always sulks and gets mad at her. She always gets worried over little things about her.

This world is different from her past world. In this place, there are people who got worried about her genuinely. People that will get agitated if she could not call them back, will get mad whenever she goes home late at night or sulk if she belittles her injuries.

She needed to change herself, the fact that she will only not care for herself but look back to those people that shows concern to her.

With that thought on her head and with the sudden realization of her resolve, a budding genuine smile spread across her face. Qin Yu didn't miss this rare sight and his hands itch to pinch those cheeky cheeks.

In the end, he only settled to caught her hand and led her as they walk back home.
