Chapter 240 - Old Time Friends

"It seems our young master is too busy that it took a minute just to open the door. Being the heir to the growing corporation is really a difficult feat even for you young man." Qin Yulin blurted out as soon as Qin Yu went to open the door.

Yes, he literally opened the door for them. 

The old man has a basket of delicacies and snacks on his hands while Lin Fei Fei was beside him who has a crunchy face that twisted imaginably. When she saw him, she looked apologetically towards him.

She fully knows how much enmity resided on Qin Yu. It's just at this moment, this old man was pretending and keeping the old affairs on his shoulders.

"What do you want?"

Qin Yu didn't let him in first. He just wanted to know his motive. Who on earth wanted to let this insidious old man enter on his abode?!

"Calm down, it's already getting dark... or do you want us to stay over the night inside?"

Very funny! This man didn't think of the mess he had made into his household. Now, he dares to enter inside it nonchalantly?

"Yeah, it's getting late so I insist to turn your back and don't bother us anymore."

"How cruel. How could you do that to your uncle? Let's leave our past settlement within our backs. It's not good to bear a grudge on your oldies, lad. Your growing old also, whose going to help each other but us, relatives?"

" Dad, let's go home." Lin Fei Fei couldn't help but be stressed by his father's idiotic antics. It's really getting on her nerves... how much more on Qin Yu's part. Yulin had once pestered this man and also hire a person to take down Qin Yu's empire. She was the secret spy on all of that. Reporting all her father's gambles and malicious acts towards him.

Now, she was feeling doubtful about this old man again. What on earth is he thinking...?

In order not to cause any commotion, he let them in. Now the night is already ruined.

Qin Yu had again set the table for four. Qin Tao was already sitting on the table when they arrived, but when he saw Lin Fei Fei, he was startled and swiftly ran outside the dining room. Qin Yu didn't call for him, it's almost safe not to let the child show in front of this old man.

Lin Fei Fei also knew why the child ran away. It's because of her. Every time he saw her within the vicinity, Qin Tao would always run away from her. The child loath her for no reason at all.

Su Ming slightly turned her head to the person who spoke by the door. A woman in a slender figure and sophisticated aura sashayed right in front of her. Her h.i.p.s twist from left and right before it stopped and sat on the couch directly facing her.

" All is well, it's been good."

It's been five years...

Su Ming thought that within those five years, her life was at peace at all. No major definition of conflict within her family and the company. His father's health had been improving lately and Su Ming couldn't ask for anything.

It's just that...

It's just that... a void space from her heart was left unattended. There was something, yet there wasn't anything at all. What was she even doing this time... somewhere feels off, but she couldn't point it out?

Her mind wandered off to that crazy person who pestered her at those times?

Why she's not seeing her again?

Baronette's snap woke her up.

"What is it?"

"You're idling again."

Su Ming composes herself.

Seeing her settled down, Baronette stood up and spoke when she's almost by the door, " Our company affiliates directors were not satisfied with the venue last time. They didn't really like the last time's settings..."

" All right, I'll find another venue next time. We'll cancel our bookings on that place."

"Good."

Baronette went out.

Su Ming sighed and focused on the papers on her desk. Her company was now growing that it'll need to be meticulously checked and thoroughly managed both from the external and internal. It's really a hassle to do this stuff, especially when she holds everything in this company within her tiny shoulders. If only she has someone that she could trust with her 100%...

Life would have been easier than now.

The periphery of the mountain homes for mostly bamboo groves and thick lashes of humongous trees. There was an overflowing crystal clear river flowing from atop the mountain down to the bottom. 

Since the rainy season had just been concluded, the whole mountain is fresh with luxuriant and vibrant dewdrops. Its leaves were glistening and sparkling and the green lush was like a thick carpet engulfing the whole mountains.

There was quite a feast at this time of the year and was the lucky time for herbivorous animals to looks for a greener pasture.

Just on the top of this mountain, a small scale built-in cave was made. The resources were human-made that the interior was carved smoothly so no accidents may happen. The place has a good humidity and a pleasant smell coming from the scents of green pigmented plants and the blooming flowers nearby.

Two people crept inside the small cave. 

Since these two people were too tall, they could only peek from the outside.

Those who can enter this cave were children or women.

"Where is she?" A muscular tone with a hint of impatience spoke. "Are you really sure you felt the fluctuations of energy inside, Sang Shui?"

The other man who questioned didn't answer, for he was still surveying the inside. 

"Hey!" Jing Sang shouted seeing the other party is neglecting him.

"I hear you." Sang Shui couldn't help but glare at him. " I said she will leave this place on this day. It seems that she had reached her goal level for the meantime."

Sang Shui explained and immediately withdraw himself at a lightning speed. Jing Sang looked at his sudden action but didn't follow. He was still looking inside when there was a sudden explosion.

Boom!

The commotion came from inside and Jing Sang was swept in the violent waves of the wind. He was thrown a few meters away and his back hit a large trunk. Now he knew why that damn Sang Shui fled immediately. Turns out, it was to flee on this incident.

The smoke billowed the silhouette of a person.

A shadow of a petite woman soon emerged on the mouth of the cave.

The surrounding air, and the aura behind her, was different from the last time she entered the cave.

" Oops, is there someone out there?"

Two angry nerves popped out of Jing Sang's forehead and shouted, " It's as if, we don't know that you didn't mean it?! You dumb woman! You intentionally wanted to blow us right?! It's dangerous, don't you think? Where is your gratitude to the people who showed you this place?"

Her eyes grow large and blink it innocently, " How come, why would I harm my benefactor?" She chuckled, then pointed at Jing Sang, and blew a handful of strong waves from her hands. Jing Sang was thrown off from the river down to the bottom of the stream while shouting profane words in her name.

It was Sang Shui who was idle on the side that came by her side and gently smile,

"Welcome back, Yi..."

Su Ci Yi smile. Her face lit in brightness and brimming with whole spiritual energy inside her. She took a quick deep breath and soon replied,

"Yeah, it's good to be back."
