Chapter 289 - A suspect or a lead?

"The victims' corpses died with a slit on their necks. It was probable that the assailants were a group of people with the same skills and profession. They stumble on these hooligans and caused their instant death. That was the primary result base on our initial investigation. However, it may have changed after conducting autopsies on the bodies. For now, that is all we could give to you."

Jang Chan explained to the woman. Now that he had spoke about it, he tried to shove her off.

Su Ci Yi at last gave up and decided to leave. It seemed that human investigation is far fetch from the truth. Who says that this is made by a human? Of course, there is no doubt that this is made by that 'man'. Since on the first place, the dark essence inherent to him is visible on the area. This was not visible to the human eye. Only Su Ci Yi could see it.

She was going back to the mansion along with Qin Tao when she passed this scene. Since she was still with the kid who was scared at the moment, Su Ci Yi didn't pass by.

She only returned when she knew Qin Tao was settled in the mansion.

When she came, those bodies weren't still found and was still lying on the same ground she had found them.

It was her who called the responsible department for this crime.

When she tried to measure the human's ability to discern, for sure they will only think within the boundary of humans. That is why they arrived with the conclusion of having multiple suspects at once.

Su Ci Yi was very anxious at this moment.

The man she met in the hole is very dangerous. 

She's afraid she can't still go against him.

'And that man... to think he would go out to kill these people? What is he planning in the future?'

He first thought that she is a family relative of the victims, yet when he saw that there isn't any trace of revenge nor sympathy to the dead bodies, he doubted his conclusion again. If she isn't, then why would she be here?

"Y-you? Do you know something about it? Now that I remember, the report came from a woman, it is you?"

Su Ci Yi was grabbed on her right hand.

" Yes, it is. I happen to found these bodies. Don't you dare to make me in your suspect lists, I am not responsible for this."

Su Ci Yi immediately defended herself, since the danger that she will be picked as the primary suspect is too high.

"Boss!" Jang Chan was having a staring contest with the woman when his subordinate caught up with him and informed of the situation.

"The corpses were already handled by the autopsy team. Let us go back now."

"Alright." Jang Chan nodded. But he didn't let go of Su Ci Yi's hand. Dragging him when he walk towards his car.

"Are you bringing me along?" Su Ci Yi asked. 

" Lets talk in the office. It will be inappropriate to interrogate you here. If you are not a suspect, then you are the only lead. It appears that you know something about this situation."

Su Ci Yi didn't answer. 

In this case where her voice cannot be heard, only one solution is needed to shut this man up.

Su Ci Yi twisted her hand that he was holding. Turn it around and slid it to his face punching him directly.

Argument is useless, she better escaped.

The man received her punch and was slumped on the ground. However, he didn't let the woman escaped as he was able to grab her foot.

Su Ci Yi fell down on the ground and in one swift, the man had already placed a handcuff on her hands. Now, with a passive looked, Su Ci Yi gaze at her hands that is bound.

She had been caught.

Except that she is not the criminal.

"I am not the one who killed them"

"Then why did you run away?"

"I didn't know who did it either way."

"We will know once we are in the station."

Su Ci Yi didn't still give up. This time, she raise her foot and kicked the man on his abdomen. He was hit, however; he was agile and immediately bound Su Ci Yi's feet too!

Now both her hands and her feet were bound!

On the other hand, Jang Chan's face has a bruise. His stomach seemed swollen too! The girl's kick was too hard and on point earlier. It's as if she had a martial arts background.

In his 40 years in living, even his wife didn't kick him! This girl whom he thought might be the same age as his son, dare to do it to him?

How brutal?!

Jang Chan didn't put only one hand cuff to her. Rather, he put all his spare metal handcuffs on her hand and even bound her with a rope. This girl is too vicious. If her hands were all free, not only kick he would get.

Su Ci Yi looked at the hands that bound her. 

There's no way that a human metal cuff could bound her. There's no way.

Therefore, with Su Ci Yi mental strength, was about to break her bind, if only not for Jang Chan's subordinate who came to them again, panting and was pale as a ghost.

"Sir! Sir! Sir! Reporting...!"

"What is it?"

Su Ci Yi grab this chance to focus on breaking her hold.

"Sir, t-there's a problem with the corpse.."

"What is it? Speak coherently!"

"There are only nine corpses left! When I recounted again for the autopsy team, there's nine of them left! Someone is missing!?"

Part of Su Ci Yi's ear was listening to the report. Upon hearing it, she couldn't help but stopped and gaped with a surprised expression to them!
