Chapter 193: Palkus’ Journey! 10

Upon entering the castle, the trio walked across the long corridor. They met many maids and butlers along the way and every one of them was an elf.

Palkus wasn't surprised by this, he was within the realm of the world tree, and it was the entity that gave birth to the elves, so of course they wouldn't let anybody else other than guests work and live within it.

A few minutes later, the trio finally stopped.

"This is the room of sister Mariah. If you don't know already, she's the youngest and most talented saintess of this generation, and we were planning on crowning her as the empress of our empire, unfortunately, that... hideous mongrel dared to put his hands on her." The aura of the saint leaked out for a second, putting pressure on the duo, but they just shrugged it out and remained silent.

"I apologize for that. Let's enter." The saint calmed himself down and opened the door to the room.

"What is it, Brother Karl? Have you found the antidote yet?" Inside the room sat another elf, he looked older than the saint Palkus came with, but there wasn't much difference.

His green hair was long and he was wearing a black robe with a green leaf engraving.

"Yes, brother Martin. This young man here managed to make the antidote, I came here with him to test if its effective or not." The saint bowed his in respect and replied.

"Very well, let us try it out." The older saint ghot up and walked closer to the trio.

The guild mistress took out the box and handed it over to saint Martin.

"Oh, isn't this our dear guild master. What a good day to be able to meet you again." The saint smiled as he took the pill from the guild mistress.

"Likewise, brother Martin." She smiled back.

"Oh, a pill? I wonder if this is the reason all those alchemists didn't manage to make it. I heard pill making alchemy is harder than regular concocting." He opened the box, took a look, and raised his head to gaze at Palkus.

"No, you should rest for now; don't get up."

"But I want to thank my savior; please don't stop me, brother." Suddenly, the trio turned to look at the brother and sister, who were arguing.

"Miss Saintess, you should be alright by now but you shouldn't force yourself to stand up. Please rest. That would be more than enough for me." Palkus, seeing that he was the reason why the saintess wanted to get out of bed, spoke.

Dania could not refute Palkus' words so she just complied and remained in her place.

Martin sighed once more when he saw that his little sister wasn't strong headed anymore and turned to approach the young man who saved her life.

"Thank you very much. You cannot imagine how much your actions mean to us. Our Sain family will forever remember this favor and will always be there to help if you need them." The older saint bowed once again to Palkus, who didn't have enough words for these saints who liked to express their gratitude so much.

'I'd rather they just be assholes and give me my money already so I can dive right into work than having to deal with all of this.' Palkus scratched his head as he thought. He wasn't used to this.

"Please, you're making me embarrassed. I only did what I had to do." Palkus said.

"No, we have looked far and wide yet never found an alchemist capable of making this antidote, the only one who could do it is the alchemy king, who has been dealing with some important matters on the central continent the past few months." Martin insisted.

Palkus didn't know what to say anymore so he just sat there, scratching his head.

"Oh right, I have to give you your reward." Martin finally looked up at Palkus and said before he took out a ring from his storage.

"Here, there should be more than enough here."
