"It's saying I don't want to grind coffee beans after a tough day. I know you won't mind, so I bought you instant coffee."
Qing Yuan snickered. "She probably couldn't stay away from brother-in-law for a long period of time."
Everyone in the room could hear the strain in his voice.
"We will leave after you have had the coffee, okay?" she said. "Qing Yuan, do you want to go with us?" It was an open offer.
Qing Yuan jerked up. "Where?" he asked.
"Our home," she said immediately. "You can stay in the guest bedroom."
Mo Qingchen hummed. "If you want to stay with us and attend the wedding, you are welcome to come with us." Mo Qingchen's voice was soft. While he stayed in their house, he could do an extensive background check on this boy. It was easier to keep an eye on him if he was under his rood.
"Can I?" he asked.
"Absolutely not!" Jiang Xin interjected. "Why would you—"
"Wait. You are living together?" Yun Sui Bo asked, horrified.
"Yup!" Qian Meng chirped. "I am a defiled woman. No one else will take me anymore. Mo Qingchen is my only option now." It was meant as a joke but to Yun Sui Bo, this was the truth.
"Have you lost your mind?" Yun Sui Bo asked.
"She's a grown woman, you can't stop her…" Jiang Xin muttered. "But Qing Yuan, you can't go." She gave him a stern look.
"He's an adult, too. He can do as he pleases," Yun Qian Meng told them firmly.
Qing Yuan sighed. "Sis… it's okay. I'll… I'll stay here. Can I come later… if I change my mind?" he asked. His eyes held unshed tears.
"Absolutely," Qian Meng said immediately.
"Yes," Mo Qingchen said at the same time. He put down the mug of finished coffee. "Done," he said quietly.
"Okay, let's go!" Qian Meng responded. "You sure you don't want to see our house? It's very pretty." Qian Meng patted on Qing Yuan's shoulder.
"I'll visit," Qing Yuan responded. "I'll walk you out," he said suddenly, standing up.
The other two followed.
"Wait!" Chen Yue protested. "What about me?" she asked. "What about my son?"
Qian Meng sighed. "If you had paid attention to what was actually happening, you wouldn't have come here," she started. "If you don't make a fuss, you'll live in relative luxury all your life, your son included."
"Why did you do this?" she cried, grabbing onto Qian Meng's hand.
Qian Meng didn't know how to answer the question. "I don't attack first. This happened because all of you tried to ruin me. I won't stand by and watch it happen," she swore.
She looked at Mo Qingchen for support. He extended his hand to her and pulled her to the exit.
"Brother-in-law!" they heard from behind them. They turned and saw Qing Yuan hot on their heels. He extended his hand. "I… thank you." He finally said.
"For what?" Mo Qingchen asked dispassionately.
"For… convincing Sis."
Mo Qingchen raised his brow.
"I am rooting for the two of you!" he chirped before jogging back into the room.
The couple blinked. As they made their way to the house, Mo Qingchen finally asked her what the young man had meant.
"He showed me your picture a while back, telling me that we would be the perfect match," she smiled. "I told him that it would never happen."
"He has good taste," Mo Qingchen said quietly.
"Indeed, he does," she repeated. "If only our parents weren't this way…" She could only sigh.
Mo Qingchen glanced towards her multiple times and wondered if she was happy. Would it have been better if the Yun family had given their blessings? Would Yun Qian Meng back away now?
All the worries poured into his mind. But by the time they were back home and she was snuggled in his arms, he forgot about it.
This woman was resolute. Once she had decided on something, she wouldn't look back. He closed his eyes and felt his muscles relax. His breathing evened out, and he didn't have any dreams.
That was the best result.

Bai Ye Qing slammed the door of his car shut when he got out in front of the gated apartment complex. This car had cost a lot of money, but because of Yun Qian Meng, he had to repair everything. The car dealership shrugged off anyone who couldn't pay the millions needed to repair the car. He had given the car to one of the smaller shops to salvage what they could. The leather in the interior had been changed to cheap material. The dents had been taken out, but the paint job wasn't stellar.
He wanted to scream just at the thought of it.
He brushed past the guards and sprinted to his apartment. Once inside, he pulled out his cellphone and sent all the pictures to Jiang Hanyu.
The call came in shortly after. "Cousin, what did you send me?" he asked, panic lacing his words.
"Look at the papers and tell me how I can overturn it. I need my hands on the shares, understood?" he growled.
There was silence on the other side. "Cousin, please don't involve me in this matter. Since the Venus fiasco, I have been having a hard time at the office," Jiang Hanyu's voice shook.
"Well, it's your fault for not covering your bases. Did you have to be stupid?" Bai Ye Qing claimed. "You didn't even think of the consequences of signing that agreement. My life went downhill from there," he groaned.
Jiang Hanyu startled. "Cousin, this… this is your father's shares. Why do you want it?" he whispered.
"Stop asking questions and do as you are told."
Jiang Hanyu shook. "Please. Get yourself a lawyer who can help. I can't do anything about this!" he claimed.
"Just look at the file and tell me!"
Jiang Hanyu gulped. He fumbled as he looked over the papers. "Whoever wrote this contract was careful. It clearly states that it can't be reversed. The returns are very amicable too." He sighed. "Stop thinking about this matter, cousin. It's irreversible."
