Chapter 91 - Where's Your Brain?

Once Luna gets inside the car, she took out her phone and send a text to Liam. She had to inform him about Raymond so that he could make a precaution move. She still hasn't wanted to let him know about her identity and Alex seems too attached to him too. It makes her worry.

Jamal at the driver seat glance over at her. "Are you okay Luna? You look a bit distracted ever since we left the island." Asked Jamal.

Luna shakes her head and smiles faintly to the man. "No, nothing. Maybe I'm a little tired and still couldn't get over the beautiful island on my mind."

"Well, there's a lot of other beautiful islands that you can visit anytime, though." Jamal tries to cheer her up a bit. "In a place where we gonna go next is also quite nice. There's a casino up there which you could play until your heart content."

Luna lifts up her eyebrow a bit. "I don't play at casino Jay..I actually never went to those places." Luna honestly said. Yup, she never went to any casino even when she stays at the United states before. Poor her, her youth was wasted just like that.

"Then..you can enjoy the indoor theme park with the kids. Usually, it will be crowded with people and tourists, but since it's in the middle of the week, I guess it's not too crowded as the weekend."

"Really? I think the kids will be happy to ride those."

"Alex.." Raymond leans closer to the little guy and whispers to him. Hoping it would be not heard by Brian at the backseat. Still doing his business thing with his Macbook this time.

Lucky that he did not hold an important position like Lawrence is right now if not..he also would be ended up like him. Always busy with work. Right now, Liam is the one who suffers from a load of work when he was away and when Liam is away, the situation will turn as he'll be incredibly busier than now.

"What?" Alex turns his head around to the man. Wondering why he looks so happy right now when he looks like he was lost in the middle of the Sahara desert inside the ferry earlier. What could change his mood this easily?

"Remember your promise to me, kid?" He grinning which makes his eyes turn like a crescent shape.

"Hm?" Alex tilted his head a little, try to remember if he ever makes a promise to this man. After a while, he shakes his head. "I don't think I ever made a promise to you."

"Tch.." Raymond clicked his tongue, unbelievable how this kid has a short memory. "You promise me to call me with a sweet name, you can practice it from now on. I want to hear it. Come on.."

Squinted his eyes, Alex stare at Raymond's face for a few seconds. "Have you get the result? Is that why you happy?" He takes a guess. Yup, that's the only reason why he can change his mood this easily.

Raymond nods, "Yup. Try to call me with that sweet name, okay baby?" He then ruffles his hair and leans back to his seat.

"Tch! I'm not a baby." Alex murmurs and turns his eyes away to the outside of the window. Deep down inside, he feels relief and happy to hear the news.

'Now mama..can't we just live happily with him? I've taken a liking to him.'

A few hours later, they arrive at the Resort World Genting hotel. Jamal drops them off at the lobby before he went to park the car at the hotel's car park.

Stretching his body a little, Raymond looks around him and takes out his phone while walking into the hotel's lobby. He hasn't check his work at all after he gets off from the Jetty this morning. When he wants to open his email, suddenly his phone reboots by itself which makes him scrunches his eyebrow.

"Wait..what the.." He taps his phone onto his palm a few times and when the phone turned on back, he once again checks on his inbox, but the email he receives from Dr.Kamal is gone.

"What the hell?" He murmurs and tries to call someone from his IT department to look into it. Unfortunately, this time is still early morning in New York, no one comes to work at this time.

Lily at the side squinted her eyes to the man who suddenly looks so anxious at the lobby entrance. She then turns her head to Alex, "Uh..what is wrong with that man?" she asked. Luna was gone to the restroom while Brian was on the phone not far from them.

Alex also turns his head to the lobby entrance and tilt his head a little before he shrugged his shoulder. "Mm...I don't know..work matter, maybe?"

"Hmm…Why adult guys always busy with work?" She grunts while glances over to her daddy. He also engrossed in his work matter. What did his father do for a living? She never knows what his father's job is. All she knows is..he is a man who always busy and always gives her high-tech gadgets and toys. Nevertheless, he still a good dad. And she never once thinks to stalk about him, unless he willingly tells her later.

''If they're not working, how they can feed us? Where's your brain?" Alex replies to her which makes Lily stick out her tongue to him.

"Then I wouldn't marry someone busy all the time." She still at it, murmuring to herself.

Alex scoffs and flicks her forehead with his finger. "Good. Then find a jobless man. I wanna see how you will suffer from being a poor girl since you're so demanding and spoiled right now."

Lily gasps and glares him, "Hmph...I will find someone like that. By the way, with my brain, my man doesn't have to work for all of his life. I could just create another AI to do his work." She talked back to him, feeling challenged with Alex's word.

Alex dumbfounded. Well, he doesn't expect that Lily will say something which is a quite brilliant idea. However, he still not agree with her. "So, you're okay if one day, the robot takes over this world? We'll become their slaves regardless of we who made them?"

"What-"

"Hey, kids..we already got our room." Jamal who just comes back from the receptionist counter said while holding the keycards.

"Huh? When did you go to check-in?" Luna scrunches her eyebrow a bit surprised how this man does his job. Very swiftly. She also just returned from the restroom, and no one noticed when he returned back from the parking lot and he even did their check-in without taking much time.

"Just now...I saw you guys quite busy, so I went to check-in for you guys." He explains. It's true when he enters the lobby area all of them were quite busy with their own things.

Luckily there's no one in line right now, so they can check-in immediately. After all, he's a bit tired. Driving for five hours straight to the top of the mountain make his back ached a bit. He need rest right now.

"Thank you, Jay..you really reliable." Luna thanking him and take the keycard from him before she signaling Brian who standing a bit far from them.
