Chapter 96 - Family Gathering

Inside the lift,

Luna rubs both of her arms, feeling a bit cold. It's been a few minutes they've been silent before Raymond suddenly takes the initiative to talk fist. 'Maybe it's a good time to talk to her about the test result?'

"Um, Luna.." He started.

Lift up her face, Luna look at the man in front of her which already takes off his leather jacket and gives it to her. "You're cold, right? Wear this to warm you up."

Take the jacket, Luna says her thanks before she put it on her body. His big jacket could at least wrap her whole body and give the warm she needs right now.

"Um, Luna.." He said again which make her scrunches her eyebrow a bit.

"You know, about the last time I told you that I would prove it to you.. on the island..well, actually I have done that and the result just came out this morning."

Luna hangs her mouth open and tries to not get mad at him. "What have you done? What result?" She asked with a deep voice, trying to hold her urge to yell at him.

"I took a DNA test between me and Alex. Its 99% match with mine." Raymond carefully said it with the hope that she would give up and tell him the truth.

"You what?!" Luna snapped. She immediately rubs her forehead using her finger. "Why'd you do that?"

Raymond was a bit startled. Why would she want to hide it so desperately? If Alex is his son, shouldn't he at least know about it? Is there any reason why she hides it from his knowledge? Don't she know that he would love that boy as any other father in this world would? He is a human too who has a feeling to protect and love their own bloodline and family. Why she look so afraid when he knew about Alex?

"Why would I do that?" He scoffs, "Really, Luna? He is my son. I have the right to know about this. Why you hide it? Why you didn't tell me? Why are you running away from me? Aren't you the one who should answer all these questions? You knew you still my wife, why are you running away and fake your death? Why?"

Luna clenching her jaw and stare at the man with so much hatred. The memory of the past starts to filling her mind which makes her hate the man in front of her right now. "Why? You really want to know why?"

Raymond sighs and nods. "Tell me. Otherwise, I wouldn't know. We can try to fix this, Luna." He tries to persuade her. Not wanting to let this problem between them dragging longer than it is now.

"If I tell you the truth, would you let me go? Will you stop disturbing us? Will you…return back to your life and forget that everything ever happens between us? Will you?"

Raymond confuses with her question which then shakes his head. "Why you want me to go that badly?"

"Because..you couldn't do anything! You wouldn't believe me." She replies instantly which turned Raymond to silent.

After a few seconds, he says. "Tell me first and I'll decide whether I believe you or not." He still wants to know the truth.

"Fine! I start with after three months we get married. The beginning of everything that happens to us."

Early in October 2013.

Knock! Knock!

Luna turned her head to the door. She knew it was Mr. Carson who knocking on her door room.

"Lady Luna?"

"Come in, Charles. Raymond is not here." She shouts from inside the room. She just returned home after a tiring day and the 'night' Raymond is currently working at his study room.

Opened the door, Mr. Carson lowered his head and standing near the door. "My lady, I'm here to tell you that the family gathering will be held in the main mansion next two days. Have you apply for your leave yet, My lady?" He still afraid to use the casual way to talk with her whenever the 'night' Raymond is around.

He's a bit strict about the rules between the workers and the master. Even though Luna might be not minding the formality between them, but he does care about his career. After a few months, all of the servants have to call her 'Lady Luna' because she said it more casual than calling her, 'Ma'am' or 'Madam.'

Luna pinches her chin like she just remembers it. "Oh!" She sucks her teeth before she said, "I'll apply it tomorrow. I really forgot about that."

Nod his head, he then continues again. "Uh...My lady, you have to stay there for a week. So, you have to tell the maid which clothes you want them to pack it for you. And another thing is..in the main mansion, you will stay with Master Raymond and you will have to fully monitor the 'day' Raymond from making a scene. I have to remind you that Master Raymond doesn't-"

"Like the crowded. I get it. Don't worry. After all, Raymond has a big improvement in these past months. So, I'm sure he'll be okay." Luna smile at the man.

"Yes, and another thing is..I will not be able to go there as we servant have to stay here and take care of the house. I hope you will be just fine in the main mansion, My lady. Please remember what I told you before about the Wayne family." He still feels worried about her and Raymond. Here, at least nobody hates her and will treat her nicely, but it is a different story when she's in a tiger dent.

Not everyone likes her and Raymond. Will she be okay there? She's such a docile girl and going into a tiger dent will only resulting her to get hurt. He can't protect her when she's there as he already gets the instruction to take care of the house from Madam Barbara.

This is clearly a way to separate him from protecting her. Sighing inwardly, he could only hope that Ray and the 'night' Raymond could protect her from getting hurt and survive from the tiger inside the house.

"I know. Thanks for your concern, Charles. Now..it's time you should go to sleep too. I'll let the maid know which clothes I want them to pack tomorrow before I go to work." Luna turns off the TV and ready to go to sleep.

"Goodnight, My Lady." He then turned around and want to leave the room but the door was opened by Raymond who also wants to go inside the room.

Frowning, he looks at the man with full of questions in his mind. "What are you doing here?"

Mr. Carson stiffen when the cold voice asked him the reason why he is here in the middle of the night. He gulped a bit.

"Raymond, he only reminds me of the family gathering in the next two days. I clearly have forgotten about that and didn't apply for leave." Luna helps him to clear the misunderstanding and the intense staring Raymond shot at the poor man.

"Don't just easily come in here with only my wife inside. Make sure to tell me first if you want to meet her in the middle of the night." Raymond gives the man a warning which then inviting chuckles from Luna.
