Chapter 109 - Congratulations

Luna breathes in and raises up both of her hands to the air. Happy to finally landed on the edge of the lake after 45 minutes on the dinghy with the 'night' Raymond. He can't shut his mouth up from nagging her and blabbering all along the ride.

It seems like the 'night' Raymond really doesn't know how to row a boat as they keep circling at the lake and take a longer time to get to the edge of the lake.

Raymond smacked Luna's head which only levels on his shoulder with his hand. "You're in the way." He glared at her which smiling annoyingly. He was the one who tired of rowing the boat and she keeps given a falsely wrong direction to him and makes them take more time to get to the edge of the lake.

"Ouch!" Luna bit her bottom of lips before she squinting her eyes and clench her fist from behind the man. If possible, sh would like to punch him and see if that's hurt or not. He always hit her even though they agreed that he can't hurt her anymore.

It seems like he enjoying to bully her. Even though his temper is a bit okay lately but still...he likes to 'touches' her a little even though it means 'hurt' her.

They both walk back to the mansion through the garden. While Raymond walked ahead of her, she keep humming happily while looking at the bouquet of flowers she made today. She did not notice that Raymond stop his pace and she abruptly hit his back.

Raymond stops his pace because of two-person who sitting under the gazebo in the garden looking at them with a bit of surprise. He also a bit surprised to see his mother and Sarah there. He thought that she probably wouldn't come here again after what happened last time.

Her face looks a bit dispirited and she somehow looks a bit upset after saw him. When Luna's face hit his back, he suddenly turned his head around and look at the clumsy girl.

Luna rubs her nose and looked at the man as she asking him why he suddenly stopped? Seeing he then glance at the side of the garden, she also turned her head to the side.

'Ah~ no wonder he stopped.' she smiled and says.." I'll be going upstairs." Ready to leave him with the two-person there in the gazebo.

Raymond did not reply to her as he also wants to leave the place but then, Sarah abruptly stands up and call out his name.

"Raymond.." he turned and looked at her, lifting his eyebrows a bit.

"Can- can we talk for a moment?" She stammering a bit. Her eyes look hopeful and that's something he couldn't say no. Even though they already break up but he can't say that the feeling for her has totally vanished.

"Sure." Raymond gestures her to follow him.

They both walk to his office which he thought is the safest place for them to talk. Luna is nowhere in his sight anymore. But he sure she probably meeting with his grandmother or any of his relatives in this mansion.

Raymond offers her to sit and bring her a glass of water before he sits on the table, facing the girl in front of him who sits on the single chair. "You have something to say to me?" He started when she still silent.

Gulping, she lowered her head and stare the glass while digging her nails on the glass. She looks hesitate to speak up. "Come on, I'm all ear," Raymond said again.

"Um.." Sarah peeks on him. "I want to.." she stopped and bit her lips for a moment.

"I mean..we've been together since we still in high school and breaking up with you is beyond my imagination. So, even if you really want this, can we stay as a friend from now on?" She said in one breath.

Silence, Raymond stands up and facing the glass window behind the table. Still thinking about what she's said. "Tell me, did you ever love me, Sarah?" This is a second time he asked her this question.

Sarah did not reply to his questions. Instead, she standing up and hug him from the back. "Don't you know how I really feel about you?" Truth is, she doesn't know who she likes the most.

She was so crazy about Liam as he always makes her excited and loves how he talked, but at the same time, Raymond always cherishes her and stayed with her for the longest time. Both of them have their own special feeling for her. It's hard to decide between the two.

"Actually, I don't," Raymond said and turned his body to face her. Hold both of her shoulders, he asked. "Do you know how much I love you?"

Sarah nods her head and her tears start to form in her eyes. "But, you've married, Raymond. We can't continue to the way we are."

Sighing, Raymond hangs his head down. "Then, let's be friends again." She's right. He needs to recover first and settle things with Luna if he wants her back.

"Oh, Raymond.." Sarah hugs him and crying on his chest while he caressing her hair.

Luna roaming in the kitchen after she went inside the house, looking for a vase to put the flowers she makes today.

When she going upstairs, she saw Raymond is still with Sarah in his office. She wants to go downstairs back, but she overheard their conversation and decided to listen to them.

But it was a wrong decision when she saw they both were hugging each other. It somewhat hurt her heart and her tears flow down before she knows it.

That's when Raymond notices her at the front of the door, looking at them both. She immediately wipes her tears and smiles at him. Inaudibly said, 'Congratulations' before she gives him a thumbs up and walks away from the office room.
