Chapter 111 - Sulfuric Acid

"Luna!!" Raymond shouted when he saw she was unconscious inside the shower area. Her body turned red with a few blisters on her skin. When he opens the sliding glass door, the vapor hits his face and he immediately covers his nose from inhaling it.

'Sulfuric acid?!' He gulped and try to find face mask on their closet room before he went back to the shower room.

He carefully carries Luna from the shower area and lay her down on the Jacuzzi's deck. Set the bidet for a lukewarm temp before he sprays it on her body. While flowing her body with the lukewarm water, he takes out his phone from his pocket. Calling for the emergency rescue teams to send them to the hospital by helicopter.

After he's done spraying her body, he finds a towel at the cupboard and covers her body before the medic team arrives at his room. Giving her first aids for poison treatment. Even his hand feels burning a bit when he tries to get her out from the shower.

When he's got out of his rooms, many of the servants and even his family stand there, in the hallway. Some of them look so worried, while the rest looks like nothing happens toward Luna. That makes him angry. He will absolutely find the culprit. Just wait until he's back from the hospital.

After three hours in the ER unit,

Finally, the head of the physician who in charge of Luna's case walked out of the room, looking at Raymond who still waiting outside of the treatment room. He walked to the man and sighing a little.

"She's stable right now. But, she can't move her body for a while when she's still under the treatment. The poison is not damaging her skin too much and will not leave any scar on her body if she continues to receive the treatment I gave her now." The doctor explains and he then looks at Raymond's hand.

"You should get treatment too, Mr. Wayne. Follow me." He leads Raymond to the outpatient clinic and gives Raymond a proper treatment to his hand.

While they were inside the outpatient room, the doctor suddenly asks him out of curiosity, "If you don't mind, may I know how your…" He was unsure of how to address that girl. He never saw that girl in Wayne clan and he doesn't know if the man is already married or not.

"My wife," Raymond said to the doctor which look a bit confused.

"Oh, your wife? Ah, then..how did your wife get covered in a sulfuric acid solution? She is quite lucky I must say that the acid did not burn her skin too much and she manages to avoid the acid go into her eyes vessel. If not..I'm sorry, it will cause her blind for the rest of her life. If you're late to clean her body with lukewarm water, she might end up worse than now." The doctor explains. He knows its a dangerous question to ask this man in front of him right now as he can crumple his reputation if he dares to offend him. But, as a doctor, he needs to know his patient condition.

Raymond turned silent. His eyes full of rage when he remembers the scene in front of him. This is the second times someone tries to kills her right in his protection. And now, he feels guilty as he's the one who asked her to take a shower this evening.

If only he did not push her to take a shower, this would not be happening. But again, who else knows that Luna will be the one who takes the shower and not him?

No one in the main mansion knows Luna's habit except for him and the servant in his mansion at SC. Someone must be watching her closely and quite skilled to slip into his rooms without getting noticed. But, who? Who would dare to ignore his warning to not harming her? All of his thought has left him to silent without replying the doctor's question.

The doctor gulped when he saw the intense look on Raymond's face. He thought maybe he has poked his nose to deeper and angered the man. "Er..Mr. Wayne?" He tries to calls him.

Blinking his eyes, Raymond looks at the doctor who already shows his fear face. "Uh, sorry. Thank you for treating my wife. However, I have something I want you to help me." He thought about it and hope that the doctor will agree to help him.

"Sure, if it's within my range." The doctor said.

Smiling faintly, Raymond says, "I want you to put my wife into sleep until her body is fully recovered. I don't want her to wake up and saw her current condition. Can you do that?"

The doctor nods his head. Well, normally if someone had a severe burn they would put them into sleep to make sure they didn't shock when they awake and ventilating. It could make the situation worse. But, of course, it must get the family's consent first.

"Of course, I understand." the doctor smiles. Luna is not in a severely burned, but the man really cares for her to not let her sad when she awakes later.

"As a reward, I will recommend you to your higher-ups. Another thing is..please don't let anyone know she's here. I'll register her using her maiden name. Do not allow any person except me going into her ward. You get it?" Raymond strictly said. He can't trust his bodyguard from the main mansion.

He will assign Mr. Carson and Doctor Fang to guard her here in this hospital tomorrow. For right now, he hopes there's no more attempt to murder her as he will be returned to the main mansion later. He needs to deal with the culprit who he believes is still in the main mansion.

"Uh..yes." The doctor stuttering a bit looking at his serious face right now.

The main mansion, late at night.

"Raymond." Victoria hurriedly went to him when she spots him just entering the house. She was so worried about Luna.

"What is it?" He asked coldly. He's tired right now and to have face everyone right now…he feels like he will turn into a dangerous person any moment now.

"How's Luna?" Victoria asked. Liam just arrives an hour earlier before Raymond returned home. He only heard about what happened from his grandmother and seeing how calm his father and his wife is, he feels like something is wrong.

"She's not dead yet. Happy now?" He glances at his parent which they only look at him with a casual face.

Victoria feels a bit relief and Liam held both of her shoulders. Bring her back to the couch. She's been worried since then.

Raymond also went to the family hall where everyone is gathered there. "Call every servant in this house," Raymond instructs the head butler to assemble all of the servants.

Victoria did not get in Raymond's way. He has every right to be angry right now. She also wanted to know who dares to hurt Luna? Twice in not even a week yet?

When every servant gathers at the hall, Raymond starts to interrogate them openly.

"Whose among you who dare to get into my bedroom without my consent?!"

None of them talked. All lowered their heads to the floor.

"No one? Fine! I'll just ask my men to burned down each one of your family's houses if no one dares to speak up within ten seconds from now."

All of them shocked. Even Victoria also shocked by his daring moves. 'So savage!'

Raymond counted each second pass by while he already takes out his phone from his pocket. Ready with his instruction to his men.

"Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven. Six. Five. Four. Three. Two.-"
