It was late at night when Ray returns to the bedroom. His head still dizzy and numb a little. However, he misses Luna and wants to see her tonight.
When he closes the door, he turns on the lava lamp on his bedroom and that's when he saw Luna was asleep on the couch. Like her usual routine when she was with the 'night' Raymond.
Slowly, he kneels down and carries her like the bridal style to the bed. Tug her into a comforter and kiss her head gently. "I miss you so much, Luna."
Raymond then washes up his sticky body and only wears a bathrobe before he went to the balcony. Thinking about what Dr. Fang just told him.
'You have to undergo Craniotomy surgery for the blood clot, however, it's still too risky for you. With your condition right now, I could say less than a 50% chance. Another thing is, Master Ray… I just found unruptured Aneurysm in your blood vessel brain. With this new diagnosis, you may have to undergo Cerebral Bypass surgery. Which I could say..you may cause another trauma in your brain or…brain failure.'
Raymond rubs his face a few times. "God…what should I do?" He murmurs.
'How long will it take until I..'
'I couldn't say when will it leak but you have to make your decision. A ruptured aneurysm can become a life-threatening situation and requires prompt medical treatment. For now, all I can assist you is to giving you medicine to slow down your blood clot and shrink your Aneurysm for temporary.'
"I just want to have a peaceful life, why you give me so many diseases?" He still grunting and after a moment, he walks back to the room after close the sliding door. Apparently, he can't sleep right now.
He was afraid to close his eyes and never wake up again. He was afraid of the thought of losing the woman he loves at his side right now. He keeps sighing and pinches his forehead. "What should I do?"
….
It's been a week and the 'day' Raymond never resurface after that tragedy. It feels like he suddenly vanishes and leaves only Ray and the 'night' Raymond.
However, Luna noticed that these two people always busy and rarely sees them. Including Mr. Carson and Dr. Fang. She thought she wants to discuss with the 'night' Raymond about what his father did to her and the 'day' Raymond but, she always loose the chance.
She finally gives it up and let it slide this time. After all, these two-person doesn't even aware that the dog has been replaced with the same breed and the same color dog.
Luna continues her daily routine and still being guarded by Raymond's men. However, she didn't mind it like the first time and let them do their job.
When it's finally approaching November, the 'night' Raymond walked from his study room and went to the dining room where she was enjoying her dinner alone.
Yup, it's been two weeks since she was ignored by these two men. Somehow, she feels Ray's a bit distant now. Like he was hiding something from her.
"Does it taste good?" He stands behind her chair and looks at the food she was eating. Ever since he walks into the dining hall, Luna keeps eating and never once look at him. It's kinda irritating him a little.
"Hm? Is there a bug in here, Mr. Carson?" She sarcastically said and look around her without looking at the man who stands behind her chair.
"Ah~ my wife sure know how to make a good joke huh?" Raymond chuckles and takes the spoon from her hand and sip the soup on it.
He licks his lips after that and tilts his head a little, looking at her green eyes. "Delicious."
Luna gulped and take back her spoon from his hand. "It's my dinner." She pouts and continues to eat again.
Raymond then straightens up and went to his seat at the end of the table. A few moments later, a maid brought out his dinner and cutlery, served in front of Raymond carefully.
"Why are you look so bitter?" He asked and slice his rib eye steak.
Luna glance at him and scoffs a little. "Do I look like I'm bitter without any reason?"
Raymond shrugged his shoulder. "Don't know. Tell me." He forked the meat and bring it to his mouth. Chewing the tender grilled meat with a delicious homemade sauce by his favorite chef.
"I think I turn into a stone these past two weeks. You wanna know why? Take a guess." She still mad with him and roughly scoop the pumpkin soup she asked the chef to make.
Today she doesn't feel like eating something luxurious and only wants something that her mother always makes for her when she's in a bad mood.
Raymond looks at her for a second before he chews the second chunk of meat he forked. "It's not even Thanksgiving yet and you already eat the pumpkin soup? Hmm..bad digestion?" He casually replying to her and tease her at the same time.
He was aware of why she pouting like that. Of course, she wants attention and neither Ray gives her one ever since the last two weeks. That's because they were in confinement treatment. The bump on his head needs to subside first and give it a proper rest.
He can't stress out and do any rough activity such as sex and probably 'fighting' since the 'night' Raymond likes to bully her and they will always end up in fighting scenes after that.
"Ha! Ha! So funny. Yeah, I can't poop for about two weeks and that's why I'm so irritated now. Just look at your dish...I feel like I wanna-"
"Luna." Raymond stopped chewing and gulped. Try to not imagine something that is disgusting right now.
He sighs and looked at the girl who suddenly shut her mouth. "Let's go hiking this weekend. I want to show you something."
Luna was dumbfounded and she blinks her eyes a few times. "Hi-hiking? Where?" she sounded so excited.
"Luray, Virginia. We're gonna spend two or more days in there. So pack your thing accordingly." He took a sip of his wine and put down the cutlery. Obviously, his appetite already dies down because of Luna.
"Se-seriously? You wanna bring me there? We're gonna go hiking??" Luna still can't believe his word. It's like a dream that he would invite her to experience all that.
"Yeah. Now, stop being so hyper. You make me dizzy."
"Oh my god! Did you have a fever, Raymond?"
"Shut up or I cancel the trip, alright?" He threat her by looking so seriously at her.
Luna immediately shut her mouth and smile widely. Too happy with his invitation.
