Chapter 130 - Staying In The Woods?

"Luna?" Raymond calls out Luna's name at the entrance door, waiting for her to come down from the second floor. He then glances at his watch and shakes his head a little.

It's already 7:15 AM and they still not hit the road yet. Surely they gonna arriving late because of this since the sun set early in this season.

"Coming~" Luna shout from the second floor. She hurriedly closes the bedroom door and runs downstairs.

"Um, Master Raymond.." Dr. Fang still feels a bit anxious about his decision to drive to Virginia which could take up more than ten hours driving. It could be affecting his condition.

"It's okay, I'm good to go. Just make sure you stock up my medication needs." Raymond replies to him. He knew what he wants to says when he saw his face.

"Of course, here is your pill case. And follow the schedule. If anything- "

"I'll call you. Don't worry." Raymond took the pill case and place it inside his jacket pocket.

Just after he put the case inside his pocket, Luna walks to them with her big luggage. "Okay, I'm ready to go." She said with a smile on her face.

Scrunching, Raymond look at her big luggage. "What's this? You wanna stay there for a year?"

Grunting, Luna pouts her mouth. "It's all my necessity. I'm a woman, you know." She averts her eyes to the pavement.

"Hm? Where's your luggage?" She asked when she saw there's nothing on the outside of the door except his car.

"I only bring my backpack. Let's go." Raymond went outside and open the Jeep driver's door.

Luna was dumbfounded and hurriedly went to the trunk and put her luggage inside it before she went to the passenger seat. "Oh, we go by the Jeep? Not your antique car?" She asked. Still, it's not a luxury car, but yeah..more comfortable than his antique mustang, at least.

"You want us to arrive tomorrow by using my 'handsome' car? Or, maybe you want to drive now? Let see if your legs still attached ten hours later?" He sarcastically replies to her and revs the engine before he put on his sunglasses and step on the gas.

Leaving the mansion on the hills and hit the road to the Luray city in Virginia state. For this trip, it's only both of them and all of his servants will stay at home.

Luna turns on the radio so that she will not feel like in a graveyard while sitting next to the stone man. Enjoying the scenic journey and sometimes, she's chewing a snack she brought along. Share it with the man beside her.

Click! Raymond turns off the radio and looks at his side.

"Luna.." Raymond wakes her up from sleep. He already stops at the downtown of Luray and it already dark outside. They have to fill their stomachs and buy some groceries.

"Mm.." Luna slowly opens her eyes and met with Raymond's grey eyes. She stares his eyes for a few seconds before he finally broke the silence.

"Are you hungry?" He then moves back to the seat and unbuckles the seatbelt.

Luna blushed and nodded her head. "Yeah. I'm totally famished right now." She said and unbuckle her seatbelt too.

When she gets down from the Jeep, she saw it's already night time and the town still having many people on the street. She checks the time on her phone.

"Huh, …it's only 7 p.m. now.." She then averts her eyes to the man who already walks to her side after locking the car.

He extended his hand to her, "Let's go." He said and lead her to the restaurant in Mimslyn Inn, The Speakeasy Bar & Restaurant.

When they entered the restaurant, the interior is quite comfy and the staff also quite friendly. They sat at the table near the window. Looking at the night view in this town.

After ordering the food, Raymond excuse himself to the restroom. Which actually he went to take his medication and went back after a while.

"Here's your Chicken Caribbean Sautee, Ma'am." The waitress put down the plate in front of Luna and took another plate from the tray to Raymond's placemats.

"Your Salmon, Sir. Enjoy your dinner." The waitress smile at both of them before she returns back to the kitchen.

"Wow, fast service." Luna complimenting the service in this restaurant and pick up her fork and knife.

She looks alive when she saw the sauteed chicken breast with many side dishes on her plate like sweet potatoes, roasted onions, peppers and corn tossed in a honey chili sauce. It also has coconut rice and green beans as side dishes. No doubt, it looks yummy.

"Bon Appetit," Luna said and dig her dinner.

Chuckles, Raymond shakes his head slowly, "Eat slowly, Luna. You'll choke if you eat too fast." He also takes his cutlery and slices up his salmon fillet.

After dinner, they both went back to their Jeep and Raymond starts the car. "We have to go and buy groceries. Hm..which market that still opens now." He murmurs while searching the place using his GPS system on his phone.

"Why we have to buy groceries?" Luna asked. She thought they would stay at the inn or lodge where they don't need to prepare their own food.

"Are you willing to drive here every day around one hour from our cabin? Come on, you can cook. So use that talent. We live in the woods where it's hard to find any close shop." He found one supermarket which is still open now.

He steps on the pedal and starts to head there while Luna was still dumbstruck by his reply.

'Staying in the woods? Wait! Staying in the woods?!' She screams inwardly. Imagine so many unpleasant things from the horror movies she watched back at home.

'Oh! My! God!'
