Chapter 167 - Goodbye Now

"Sweetheart, I've heard that you were unwell these days? Are you alright now?" Victoria hugs Luna while rubbing her back a little. After knowing that now Luna was really bearing Raymond's child, it makes her happy. She'll have other great-grandchildren in another few months.

"Yeah, I just nauseated a little bit, but I'm fine now." Luna smile and pats on Victoria's back before she averts her eyes to the couple who already kissing and hugging there. Really, they need to get a room now. She also saw there are a few men who she doesn't know standing there, near the entrance door with their briefcase. Looking like a professional person.

Pull her body gently, Victoria look at Luna's face which is still a bit pale. "Don't worry dear. I think its time now. We'll be going to L.A this evening." She said with a smile on her face.

Scrunching, Luna asked her again, "L.A? Why?"

"I'll be announcing Liam as the next president and you..my dear, will be announced as Raymond's lawful wife tonight. It's time to end this, your identity needs to be brought up to the light, so that people will know and there are no bugs around him anymore, alright?" Victoria leads her to the living area and sits on the couch.

Luna startled with what she just said and slowly pull her hand from Victoria's grip. "I..I don't mean to be disrespect, grandma..but he's happy with Sarah now. I don't think I want to destroy it. It'll only worsen the situation. I prefer to be free if he wants to divorce me, I will..but..I want to end the contract between us." She voices out what's in her thought. She really want to start anew after all of this happen, she had no heart anymore to stay in Raymond's grasp.

There's no point in struggling alone and hope he will remember again. Even if he remembers, then, what's next? He loves Sarah more than he loves her, he never says he loves her, right? He only said that he will…but the promise he made now already buried down or die along with two of her lovers.

She wants to end the contract so that her child will be hers and no one can take it away from her anymore. Even now, she still had no love for the baby, but as what Mr. Carson always reminds her, the child is innocent. It was both of them who make the mistake that night.

Victoria suddenly feels sad when she said that. She pressed her lips together and turn to look at her lawyer who she brought along today. "Gavin, you may start to write my will now." She stands up and leads the man named Gavin to the small room while leaving the others in the living area.

Liam and Sabrina went over to Luna and comforting her. "Don't worry. Everything will be over soon." Liam said and still saying his sorry for the video call last night. He tries to explain to Luna, but she stops him from talking about him any further. She just...doesn't want to listen to the reason.

Her pregnancy mood swing is much worse than she thought. She easily gets mad, easily cry for no reason and easily gets annoyed when Raymond's name was brought up. And that is why she's ready to get a divorce if that's what he wants. As long the contract is terminated, she willingly signs the paper now.

Mr. Carson packs all her belongings into her backpack and ready to leave the place this evening. It takes almost one hour before Victoria finally walks out of the room, talking with her lawyer and smiling before she walks to the group which already packs up. Ready to go.

"Everything has been settled. We should go now." She said and instruct the lawyer and a few men to go first using her private helicopter. They'll be going to the other way while she, Liam, Sabrina, and Luna will be going to L.A for the press conference.

Luna stands up and anxiously looks at the old woman. Like she could read her expression, Victoria then says, "Don't worry, my dear, I will not reveal your identity for now. However, you should come with us too. After that, we'll be back to SC until your case settle." She ensures her and went to the door.

They check-out and went with two limousin car parked at the outside of the hotel. Victoria, Liam, and Sabrina share the same car while Luna and Mr. Carson take the second car. She needs a little space where she can vomiting and no need to feel discomfort with other people inside the car except for Mr. Carson.

Before Liam gets inside the car, he got a phone call and after he ends the call, he looks at Victoria at his side. "Dr. Fang and his wife were just..died. Their helicopter was hijacked by someone and..exploded." He was the one who arrange them to go to the L.A for providing evidence for Raymond's illegal surgery without Raymond's consent, but who would've thought his plan has been leaked to someone.

Victoria gasps and covers her mouth with her palm. "What should we do?"

Exhaling, Liam makes a quick call before he then averts his eyes back to the old woman, tries to calm her down. "We'll go with another route. I already arrange another heli for us." Nodded, Victoria then gets inside the car. Praying inwardly that nothing bad will happen.

When the car starts leaving the hotel, Luna leans her head back to the soft cushion. "What you think that Madam has decided?" Mr. Carson asked when he rolled up the window from the driver.

Luna shakes her head slowly. "I don't know. But I don't think she'll let me go just like that, Charles. Not when she knows I'm bearing her next heir other than Sky."

Mr. Carson bobbed his head. "True." Right after he utters it, the road turns to be a lot of corners and Luna starts to feel dizzy. "Where are we now? Why the road is so…ugh.." She took a plastic bag and start vomiting.

"Well, welcome to route 550. 1  It'll be okay soon. Just hold on for another hour or so." He helps her by rubbing her back and giving her mineral water to drink.

"Ugh... I can't.." She shakes her head when seeing the mineral bottle. She doesn't think she can drink right now. All she wants is to let whatever inside her stomach out now.

After two times of vomiting, she finally feels a bit better. She leans her head back to the cushion and closes her eyes. That is when Mr. Carson receives a call from the front car.

"Yes, Master Liam?" Mr. Carson said politely before he scrunching his eyebrow and look behind the car. "I can see them." He said again and ready to take out his gun.

"I'll try to distract them." He said and he ended the call. Before he rolled down the window, he slowly put the earmuff to Luna's ear at his side which she already dozes off, tired from vomiting.

He rolled down the window and aim his gun to the car which chasing them from behind. The chaser car speeds up a bit and he shoots the car with his gun.

Bang! He curses when it's only creaking the window and not going through it. The chaser car is equipped with a bullet-proof window. He draws his head inside and the car who chasing them takes the brave charge by going to the opposite lane and push their car to the edge of the cliff.

The chaser driver rolled down their window and so does Mr. Carson, he rolled down the window at Luna's side and point the gun at the man who sits on the backside, ready with his gun too. They shoot at the same time, where Mr. Carson shoots the man with his gun at the backside while the chaser driver shoots their driver on the chest with his bullet.

The sudden break makes their car spin and hit the front car which brought Liam, Sabrina, and Victoria in it. Lucky for them when the front car driver did an emergency brake and hit another car from the opposite lane while the chaser car already leaves the route.

Luna wakes up when the hit happens and all she can see now, the bleeding Mr. Carson who holding her hand from falling down the cliff. He was literally hanging on the little branch while trying to control their body weight.

She gasps and there's a lot of blood trailing down from Mr. Carson's hand to her hand now, making the grip slightly slippery.

"Don't panic. Hold my hand tightly." He said while trying to pull her up. His shoulder hit the rock and he thinks it might be dislocated now while his rib is already broken a few now. And holding such a weight on his hand, he couldn't hold on too long.

Five minutes hanging on the cliff, Liam suddenly pops out his head from the cliff road, looking down at them with shocked. "Oh my god! Hold on. I'll get a rope." He hurriedly goes to the car and a few people helping him to pull them up.

Unfortunate for them, the rope is not strong enough to get two-person out of the dangerous rocky cliff. The rescue team also arrive late because of the collision is quite big and they can't get there on time because of the traffic-jammed.

When the rope has secured on Luna's body, Mr. Carson looks at her, smiling, "I can't make it." He then looks at his bleeding hand which already trembling.

Luna silently cries and tries to hold her voice from getting out, "Take care the child, Luna. I'll believe you'll be happy."

"No, Charles..don't lose your hope." She says and he uses his last energy left to pull her up and the people up there could take her hand from the road cliff before he smiles again at her.

"Goodbye now." He starts collapsing and falls down the cliff while the other people pull Luna up from the cliff.

"Charlesss!!!!!!" She let out all of her voice before she also lost her conscious.

Listed as one of the most dangerous roads in this world. A lot of fatal accidents happen and fewer survivors too.
