After dinner, Caitlin decides to return back to her hotel. When she was about to leave, she gently hugs Lily before she whispers to her. "Don't worry. I'm not going to let my life suffer again."
Lily frowned at her word, however, seeing she smiling brightly, she can't say anything at all. If she thinks that marry her father will make her happy then…she really had no voice to object it, does she?
With that, Lily nods her head. 'I trust you'll to make a good decision.'
She waved her hands to her while looking at the white Jaguar car driving out from the mansion.
After Lily and Alex return to their bedroom, Robert immediately makes a call to his master. He is reporting their activity for today before he sends the footage to Brian. At the same time, Jamal returns back to his room.
…
Caitlin steps on the gas to accelerate the car. While she's driving, she put on the Bluetooth to her ear and makes a call to Parker.
"Hey, beautiful~" Parker's answering her call.
"Parker, one more job for you," Caitlin said without even flatter to his sweet word.
"How much would you offer?"
"Fifty grand. I need the details of the house — the architects who work on the design and the workers' information. For any information related to the house, I need it. Everything, do you copy me?" She gives a signal to the left. Entering the hotel building where she's staying for the past few days.
"Hmm..when do you need it?"
"ASAP."
He hissed a bit. "That's too early. How about a hundred grand, and I'll send it to you two days from now?" He said while counting something on his finger.
Thinking for a second, she says, "Fine. Meet me at the usual place." Caitlin ended the call and parked her car at the basement parking. She then walks out from her car, and that's when she got a call from Flynn.
She smiles, looking at the screen. It's been days since last they've contacted each other. She picks up the call on the third ring.
"Hello?"
"Hi, are you busy right now?" Flynn said from the end of the line. He sounded gentle, as always.
"Not really, what's up?" she walks to the elevator and pushes the button to go up.
"I need your advice. Hmm, during my mission, something occurs, and now I had a woman under my care."
"Uh-huh?" Caitlin lifts up her eyebrow a bit.
"And she..doesn't have any spare shirt with her." Caitlin could hear that he stop his word for a moment. Is it because he tries to consider her feeling? He even explains his situation to her.
"Ask her for her size."
"No..I don't think it's okay for me to ask her size. Uh, she's married."
Caitlin softly laughs at his last sentence. Why does he even say that? "Okay, then maybe you can buy any free size clothes for her. It's the safest choice. Where are you right now?"
Flynn silent. "Oh, sorry, you can hide your location from me. I know, it's our protocol to-"
"I'm in Miami." Flynn cut her word, and she was the one who turns silent after that. He really reveals his location to her. He trusts her that much, huh?
"Wow...I heard there are so many beautiful girls there." She tries to make the conversation less awkward. Knowing now he's in Miami, somehow makes her a little bit jealous. It's like a bit of a getaway while working!
"Not really. I have the one I like, so any beautiful girl here is dull to my eyes."
Caitlin gulped. When the elevator door opens, she walks inside it. Luckily there's no one inside it. "Really? That girl must be lucky then."
"Mm, I hope she knows it. By the way…thanks for your advice." He ready to end the call as his face already turns a bit red right now.
"Uh, wait, Flynn." Caitlin holds him on the line before she silent for a second. "Um..can we go on..a second date? I mean, dinner." She wipes her invisible sweat on her forehead.
"Date? That's sounds lovely. Once I return back from this mission, let's go on a proper date, shall we?"
Caitlin squeezes her eyes and pressed her lips together. She feels like she wants to scream right now. Scream of happiness. This is the first time someone invites her on a proper date.
"Yes!"
Chuckles, Flynn rub his red face. "Alright, goodnight, Cait."
"Mmhm..goodnight, Flynn." She put the phone on her chest before she took a deep breath. She's so happy right now. Flynn doesn't assume her as just a buddy, right?
Well, maybe this could spark her with a new love. She walked out of the elevator and went to her room. Taking a shower and ready to go to sleep afterward.
…
Washington D.C,
Brian checks on the footage of his steward send him. There's nothing odd about the footage. She really didn't do something to Lily. Even though he could tell that she looks a bit sad looking at the decoration in his house.
And there's a part where they both sit on the bench facing the backyard. Lily and Caitlin look like they were engaged with severe talk. He wonders what kind of conversation they had together.
But at the end of the video, she whispers something to Lily, and Lily looks obediently nod at her. This raises his curiosity toward the topic they talk about today.
After finish watching the footage, Brian took his phone and ask for someone to track down where Caitlin stay. He then took his wallet and walked out of his office.
He decides to make a quick visit to see her.
…
The next morning,
Caitlin's doorbell suddenly rang, and she scrunched her eyebrow a bit. She sat up from the bed and took out her gun under her pillow. Load it with a magazine and ready to standby beside the door.
She slowly opens the door and ready with her gun. When the door is open, someone enters her room.
Click!
Caitlin points her edge of the gun onto the guy's head. But, when she saw who it was, she withdraws back her weapon.
"What are you doing here, early in the morning?" She asked and headed back to her bed. She's finding a robe to put on her body.
Brian did not immediately reply to her as he observes the room and goes to the living area. Looking at the mess coffee table in front of him with a lot of paper, he asked. "Why you go to my house?"
Scratch her head, Caitlin thinking of a valid reason. "I want to talk about your rush decision." She said, and walk back to him. Taking a seat on the couch.
"What about it?"
"Didn't I already told you? I won't marry you."
"But, I was told that you accept it." Brian turned to look at her. She already put on her robe, and her hair is still messy.
Sighs, Caitlin look at the outside of her room from the glass window. "Why you want to marry me? You don't love me, and I don't love you anymore, why you want to waste your time with this stupid idea of yours?"
Silent, Brian did not have an answer to it. "I just want to take responsibility that I should take long ago." Thinking of that might be a valid reason for now.
Scoffed, Caitlin look at him with an unbelievable face. "You think you able to redeem yourself by doing this now? Don't waste your time. I don't love you anymore. I want to start over, but not with you." She states it firmly.
Standing up, he went to her and lifted up her chin. They both staring at each other eyes for about a seconds before Brian force his lips on her. But only for half of second before Caitlin turn her face to the side.
"Don't make me hate you more than I do now, Ben." She utters it slowly and shoves his hand from her chin.
