Chapter 248 - I Just Want To Meet You

CIA HQ,

Knock knock!

Caitlin took a deep breath before she walks inside Madeline's office. The woman smiled at her widely and went to hug her.

"Cait, I heard from Ben that you agree to accept him again?" Madeline starts while Caitlin's face changes a bit.

'Oh, I forgot about this one.' She smiled and did not reply to her.

"Ma'am, I have something urgent I want to discuss with you."

Lift up her eyebrow, and she looks at Caitlin who's expression looks a bit anxious. She then invites her to sit down on the couch before they start.

"Okay, I'm listening."

Caitlin put a file on the table and push it toward Madeline. "The task you assign me, I've been carefully looking into it. But, what I found is probably will shock you. So..please read it first."

Madeline did not waste her time as she then took the file and read it page by page.

From the couch, Caitlin could see a crease formed on Madeline's forehead. She knows it's hard to believe when the enemy they've been looking for all these years is hiding behind their name and fame.

"How is this possible?" Madeline murmurs and closes the file. She was totally dumbstruck and can't even think right now.

Caitlin then gives her another file, which is a bit thinner than the previous data. "This is the report from the last year."

Madeline took it and opened the file. For five minutes, she then looks back at the girl in front of her. "So, it actively back in last year. But the source is not in this country, huh?"

"Yes, it's in Singapore, where Ben frequently goes there," Caitlin said carefully. She doesn't want to say that Ben is Kiera's owner, but why did Kiera was activated at the place where Ben's always frequent?

"A few last months, I went to Malaysia to investigate the source which suddenly pops out, and when I trace it, I bump with Ben. Before I could find it, the source disappeared, and I lost my track."

Madeline bit her lips. "It's hard to believe this. But, can you put on hold this case first? I'll send people from his mansion to put an 'ear' near the lab. Once I confirm it, I'll issue you the order to arrest."

Caitlin nodded her head. Well, she's relieved when Madeline told her to put on hold on this case. At least, she can relax a bit and let the mother and son sort out their problem.

For the time being, she can have plenty of time in HQ to help Flynn if he needs her help.

"I'll excuse myself then." Caitlin stands up and ready to leave the office.

"Uh, Caitlin.." Madeline stops her in the middle of her way

Turn around, Caitlin look at her soft and gentle expression. "You don't have to force yourself to accept him. Tell me if he mistreats you, okay? I'll always be at your side."

Caitlin smiled and nodded her head to the woman behind her desk. "Thank you, Madeline. I really appreciate it." She touched to know that there's someone out there who still cares about her. Madeline always gives her a motherly love that she never gets from her household.

'If only...I could love your son again, Madeline. But it's all in the past now.'

"Lily, look." Alex shows her his new invention to which then Lily squint her eyes a bit.

"Robots?"

Alex nodded. "It's not only a robot. I made it for us. I still need to retouch the skin and make it look as real as ourselves. You know, they can cover for us when we slip out of the house."

"The program is still not installed yet, and I need your help with that. Can you help me to do it?" Alex went to the robot and placed his hand on the robot's shoulder. Smirking at Lily.

Squinting her eyes, Lily had no choice except to accept his request. Alex helps her many times to escape from the house before. So, helping him to set up the program inside the robot is not that difficult. "What if someone notices it?" She still doubted Alex's invention.

"Hmm.." Alex rubs his chin. "That's why I need you to program it to copy our voice, movement, and make it smooth. I'll work on the skin and make it real. I don't think they can recognize us. See? The body I made is from the soft rubber."

Lily sighs. "But, a robot doesn't have emotions, you idiot." She then rubs her forehead and says, "Fine, fine... I'll do what I can."

Alex smiles widely. "Thanks."

When Lily went to pull the book to open the secret passage, she said again to Alex. "Bring that thing into my bunker. I'll try to set up their program using Kiera's help."

"Got it."

She then walks to the bunker, followed by Alex from her behind with the robot. When they arrive, Lily activates Kiera from sleeping. "Afternoon, Kiera."

"Good afternoon, my lady."

"So, I need your help today. I am going to use half of your program inside these robots. I need you to have control over them. The objective is to make sure no one can differentiate these robots with us, humans. If everything is out of your control, I need you to run a wiping data procedure inside them. You understand it, right?"

"Of course, my lady," Kiera replies and looks at the two child-size robots. "Is the robot is your and Alex's doppelganger, my lady?"

Alex shows Kiera his peace finger sign with a wide smile. "Hey, Kiera."

"Sir Alex." Kiera smile back at the little boy.

"It'll only be used when needed. If not, these robots going to reside here, for a temporary. You're okay with it, right, Kiera?"

"Of course, my lady."

"Alright, let's look into what we can do.." Lily sits on the chair and cracks her finger a little. She then looks at Alex and signals him to leave the bunker. It'll take a few hours to make a new program. And having someone looking at her work will make her a bit uncomfortable.

Not going to argue with her, Alex takes his leave and return to the lab. He still needs to work on the progress to create Jamal's present. Well, at least without Lily around the lab, he can use the space as he pleased.

After two hours of Lily's spending her time to make the program and insert the chip inside the robot's brain, the whole wall screen suddenly buzzed.

"My..lady…" Kiera said, and Lily immediately went back to her desk. Typing the keyboard and try to recover Kiera's from fading.

"Ugh, who dare to mess with-"

"Oh, there you are! Hi?" A boy's voice makes Lily jolt her body and look at the screen. All the screen inside Kiera's brain now has been hijack.

"You?!" Lily grit her teeth.

"Um…Lily, right? So, is this what Keira's brain looks like?" The boy wearing a black suit looks around her bunker, and his eyes then fixed on the robot at the side of the room.

"Woah! Did you make that? That's crazy." he asks while typing something on his keyboard. His hands are fast!

"Oh, wait! I can control it from here." He chuckles, and the robot inside the room is suddenly activated. They look at Lily with a questioning face.

"Stop it, you! What do you want?" Lily went to the behind of that robot and unplugged the source cable.

"Aw come on..why you turn it off? I still want to test it."

Turning to him, Lily pointing her screwdriver to the screen with an angry face. "What. Do. You. Want, You. Stupid. Kid?"

Sky propped his chin with his hand while looking at the girl. "Relax, Lily...I just want to meet you."
