Chapter 249 - My Sweet Darling

"I just want to meet you."

Lily scoffed at Sky's word. When she's open her mouth wants to say something, Alex suddenly walks into the bunker.

"You're Sky, aren't you?" Lily and Sky avert their eyes to Alex. He looks a bit serious.

"Alex, you know-"

"Alex…my second cousin, am I right?" Sky grin at him while typing something on his keyboard. Details of his family pop out one by one on the screen, making Alex scrunched his eyebrow.

"Uncle Raymond's son, the only one besides me who's in the list of the next clan head. Alexander L. Arista, or should I say, Alexander Wayne?"

Lily looks at both of the boys. They both are from the same clan and holding such a vital position, huh? "Is it true, Alex?" Lily asked. She's a bit shocked.

Alex did not reply to Lily's question. Instead, he walks forward to the screen. Looking up at the guy. "That's right. I'm your second cousin. You need me to make you the clan's head, right? You want that position that bad, Sky?"

Sky did not answer him, and he only stares at the boy. "You'll have it. Let's meet up. Prepare all the documents to transfer the share for me to sign it later."

"Alex-"

"Great!" Sky smiles and averts his eyes back to Lily. Who still standing there, looking a bit confused. "I'll meet you both."

Ding~

A chime sound makes Lily turn her head to the desktop. There's a tarot card on the screen, and there's a series of numbers below the tarot card's picture.

"Meet me at the location that I just send it to you." Sky say and end his transition. A second later, Kiera's back online. She looks like she was just waking up.

"My lady?"

Lily looks at Alex, who still silently staring at the floor. "Alex? Are you okay?" She asked, and Alex shakes his head. "I need you to check on this." He took out a small linen material from his pocket and showed it to Lily.

"What do you want to do with this?" She scrunched her eyebrow a bit. She thought that Alex is upset meeting that arrogant boy, but she was wrong?

"A suit. For uncle Jay." He said, and Lily observe it for a moment. "I think you can use it." She approves the material before she looks at him again.

"Hey, about the 'head' thing you've talked about before..what is it about?"

Alex pressed his lips together. He took a big breath and looked at her. "As Sky's said, I'm also the next heir of the Wayne clan. But, I decide not to pursue the position any further. I just want a normal happy life. Where I can stay with my family, so, I decided to let go of all the things that can bind me with that power."

"So, you're giving him your..?" She scrunched her eyebrow.

"My share. It's lay under my uncle's name. But once he descends from the position and Sky have the majority of the shares, he'll be the next head. My dad said that Sky probably capable of changing our family tradition. So, they rely on him. And I don't want to know about it anymore."

Lily nodded her head. She is trying to understand his decision. Pat on his shoulder, Lily smiles, "Well, that's good for you and mama too. Just stay away from a messy life, okay? It is not like you can't live without that money and power. You're a genius. I think you'll make more money in the future."

"Thank you for-"

"Ah! You can also work under me in the future. I'll pay a good amount of your salary in the future." Lily softly laughs, and Alex rolls his eyes. "Uh, no, thank you." He then walks back to the lab. You are leaving Lily to continue with her work.

After Alex's gone, she checks on the tarot card and the long series of the number below the picture. After a few minutes, she finally can decode the number. It's a location in New York City. An old and empty house in the middle of the city.

'What's his planning? And why he eagerly wants to meet me?' Lily tap her finger on the desk before she sighs.

It is less than two weeks before her father's engagement day in New York City. That's mean it's the perfect time for them to meet up there.

"Hahh~ I need to finish up with this robot first."

Madeline closes her eyes.

The spying tools she told the maid to put on the lab really bring her the result she's been looking for. There's the detection of Kiera source and the source from the unknown hacker who hacks the Hawkeye last time communicate.

Their conversation earlier has been sealed, and they can't break into the firewall. But then, after that, something sent through the data source, and Madeline's best IT staff manages to snatch the copy of the file. It's a tarot card with a series of the number below the picture.

It seems like she had no choice other than sending her troops to ambush their meeting location. But, before that..she needs to attend on Brian's engagement party and instruct agent Flynn to get ready leading the troops.

While Caitlin and her need to be ready for the party. If it's true that his son is Kiera's owner, he had a lot of explanation to do. And she might be using her position to make sure her son will not plead guilty. There's must be a reason behind the attacking a few years ago.

At the same time,

Luna packs her things and looks into the mirror. Her hair has grown longer, and her original color has shown up a bit. She then touches her chest, where the wound already healed. Luckily it's not too deep, but she lost a lot of blood last time.

"You're ready?" Flynn opens the door and looks at the girl who is staring at her wound in front of the mirror.

"Oh, yes." Luna turns around and takes her backpack. Looking at the man who also looks like he already packs up his things, she asked, "Where are you going?"

"I need to return to my place. Work." Flynn reply and Luna nod her head. "So, um…let me guess. You're working with government unit, aren't you?"

She walks to the car outside of the house. And Flynn went to the driver seat. "What made you think like that?" He replies with a question and starts his car.

Drive to the highway and straight to the airport. "You're muscular. You don't look like a chef or a kitchen staff. Your hand stiff like you're always handling a gun, and you're always on time. Time matters to you. So, I conclude that you served in the army?"

Flynn smiles. "Nah…but, your guessing is not bad either. Just don't poke too much into my matter." He said and warned her at the same time.

"Okay..but, Flynn..thank you. I know you're risking your job by rescuing me. And for that, I really grateful to you." She bows her head a little to the guy. Really sincere to what she's said to him.

"No prob. It just an instinct as a human to help others." Flynn said and turned the wheel to the airport entrance.

"Alright. We arrive." He turns off the car engine, and they both walk out of the car — Check-In at the counter and bid goodbye to each other.

"Take care, Luna. Make sure you do it properly this time. If you can't fight, then use your brain a little, okay?" He slaps on Luna's arms, and she flinches a bit. 'You're lying! I'm sure you're a soldier.'

"Okay. And you too... be careful. If I ever see you again, I'll pay back your money. Thanks, Flynn."

"Um..no need. Bye." They part their way to the gate and never look back again.

Luna stares at her airplane ticket while smiling. 'Haah~I miss my sweet darling.'
