Chapter 262 - The Annoying Guest

A few days later,

"Baby, which one is better?" Raymond walks into the kitchen and shows Luna two of his choice of t-shirt.

Scrunched her eyebrows a bit, Luna look at two of the choices. One is black, and the other one is blue. But both of it look good on Raymond's. He is basically already handsome. If he put on rags, he still looks attractive.

"Hmm….I like both colors, but since we're gonna meet your parents today..why not choose a black one? I also will wear something with a similar color." Luna told him her opinion and earned a kiss on top of her head from Raymond.

"Thanks, baby." He said and went back to the bedroom. Ready to change his clothes while Luna finishes up cleaning their breakfast plate at the sink.

When she takes off her apron, she saw that Hero already looks at her with a pitiful expression. "You wanna go with us too, aren't you? Why? Did you get bored at home?" She squatted down and petted on Hero's head.

Hero whine and tilt his head a little. Allowing Luna to pet his head.

Chuckles, Luna said again. "Okay, I got it. But, you must behave and don't let someone bully you, do you understand?" She warned Hero while Raymond just watched them from afar. He likes the fact that Luna didn't feel afraid of Hero anymore, just like when they first time meets him.

Hero only stares at his owner's wife and listen obediently. Even though he didn't understand the human language.

"Alright, I gonna get change, and you.." Luna took out canned food and poured it into Hero's bowl. "Finish this." she smiles and walks to the bedroom afterward, not noticing that Raymond already wait for her in the hall.

Just after Luna went inside, Raymond looks at Hero again, who eats scrumptiously and warns the boy too. "We'll be going to enemy territory. Make sure your fang is sharp enough, boy."

Main mansion.

"Hmm.." Barbara tilts her head a little before she continues again, "You look a bit busy today," Barbara said when she passes by Sabrina. The latter was instructing their maids to clean up a guest room.

"Yes, I'm a bit busy, as you can see. We have a guest today, remember?" Sabrina said with only glancing a little at Barbara. Have to live with this old snake, she finally knows how to survive from her 'poison.'

As long she didn't bite her tail, Sabrina will not do anything to her. Just let her do whatever she wants, and she doesn't even care about her in one bit at all.

"Hmph..looks like this 'guest' is quite important, huh?"

"Yes, it is." Sabrina finishes her instruction with the maid and turns her body to Barbara. "If you have nothing to do, why not you decide the dessert in the kitchen? I know you're a bit meticulous about the food."

Barbara scoffed at her before she walks away from Sabrina. Because today is Saturday and she really had nothing else to do, she was just going to stay at home.

When Barbara went out of the hall, she saw her daughter, Ramona. Ramona was talking on the phone, and Barbara thought of going to tasting the dessert with her. So she went to her daughter.

"What?? You want me to go there? Hey, I just need a little supply. Why do I have to go there?" Ramona was fuming while biting her fingernails. 

She looks a bit anxious. A moment later, her eyebrow furrow, and she gapes her mouth open.

"Hey, I always do you a favor. If you want a girl, I can supply it for you. But-" she clenched her fist.

"Ugh! Fine! But just for this time only. Since I do this for you, I need three months supply, and that's it! Take or leave it." She almost closes their deals before she spots Barbara walk toward her.

"I call you back." She immediately ended the call and smiled wryly at her mother.

"Mom.."

"Are you busy? Who called you just now?" Barbara asks with a smile on her face.

Look at her phone, Ramona shake her head a little. "Nothing.. just my friend. They need my help."

"Oh? I need your help too. Let's taste the dessert in the kitchen." Barbara hooked her hands into Ramona's arm and brought her to the kitchen.

"Um..why do we have to taste the dessert? Is there someone who is coming here today?" She asked while looking at the kitchen counter table, which is full of a dessert from various shapes and colors. All of it looks delicious.

"Hmm...Sabi said there's a guest coming today. But, I don't know who." Barbara took one cupcake and bit it in a small portion. She lifts up her eyebrow after taste it. 'Tasty.'

"Mom...I can't join you all either lunch or dinner today. I had..uh..thing to do." Ramona's averting her eyes to the blueberry tart on the tray.

"Hm? What thing? Isn't your fiance is in Brazil for training?"

"Uh…yeah..but my friend needs my help in Mexico. So, I'll fly in the afternoon."

"Really? What kind of help that need you to fly to Mexico all of a sudden?"

"Uh.." She starts sweating a bit while her brain is wrecking to find a good excuse for her mother. "Just some stuff. You know, I need to recover my skin, and my friends have the best medicine for it. So, to get it, I need to go there. It won't stay long."

Barbara stops chewing and looks at her daughter's face. Indeed, she still had a scar on her face, and it looks ugly. Lucky that it didn't affect her daughter's engagement because of this incident.

"Hmm..go then." Barbara looks back at the kitchen counter. "By the way, did the lab result already out? Regarding the lotion that that bitch give to you?"

"Oh? That…yeah. The result shows there's nothing wrong, and it appears that my skin had an allergic reaction to their ingredient. So, they advise me to not use the product again." Ramona explains it to Barbara. At first, she also suspects Luna try to pull a prank on her, but it seems like she was wrong.

However, it did not subside her anger toward Luna. For her, she really despises that girl to be with her brother. And after her catfight with Sarah, she also hates Sarah to be with her brother.

'Whatever! They both don't deserve my brother.' She sighs and smiles, looking at her mother.

For right now, all she wants is to get her supply first. She'll die if she can't get her amount this week. While tasting the dessert, she books a flight to Mexico in the earliest flight she can get today.

Ding dong!

Barbara looks at the maid who went to open the door. She also stands up from Sofa and walks to the doorway.

The moment she saw Luna's face, she rolled her eyes, annoyed with her, and Luna smirk a bit, seeing Barbara's reaction.

"So, you're the annoying guest for today, huh?" Barbara sneer and Luna nod her head a little.

"Oh, come on, Auntie~. Aren't you happy to see me today?" She asked, and Raymond was staring at her acting. She looks like she's enjoying to torture his mother's emotion.

Well, he's happy as long she's happy. He rubs on Luna's arm while smiling at her for a moment before he looks back at the maid. "Where's my brother?"

"Master Liam is currently at the tennis court with Master James, Master Raymond." the maid reply while lowered her head a little.

"I see. Thanks." Raymond then holding Luna's hands and walk to the backyard court. Hero also following them from behind.

While Barbara was clenching her jaw, she sees his son just ignoring her presence and not even saying hi to her.

"Tch! You dare to make my son disrespectful to me, huh?" She murmurs and glare at the maid.

Flinching a bit after seeing Barbara's glare, the maid lowered her head low and didn't dare to even breathe. That's how scared she is toward this old woman.

"You..follow me to the kitchen now," Barbara said to the maid, and she followed her master's order without a choice. She just a maid. She had no voice-over her master.

Apparently, she was forced to put something on the dessert and a plate of lunch for Luna.
