Chapter 261 - I'm Not Your Mother

The Oculus shopping mall,

"Are you sure you wanna wear this dress, Luna? It's too plain. We can find another famous designer boutique and make a new dress for you. I'm sure they can make it in time." Dania squinted her eyes to the dress which Luna showed them.

Groans, Luna shakes her head. Disagree with Dania's idea. While Rose is actually taking side with Dania. She thought a person such as Luna deserves to wear a beautiful and high-end dress. Because she was very much sure that mostly the invitees will come with various famous brand dresses from all over the world.

This is a party where higher society shows off their wealth and comparing their appearance and bragging about who's wealthier. Even though most of them have no sense in fashion at all, they just put on anything that looks expensive.

"No. I'll take this one. Guys, I don't need something fancy to show off. It's just an engagement party. Even though I just wear a simple brand name dress, they would not stop me from entering the hall, right?" She still sticks with her opinions.

This makes the boutique assistant unconsciously smile, hearing her reply to both of the two women. They both look at each other before they finally shrugged their shoulder and agree with Luna's decision.

"Fine... But, is it a must for you to choose a white color? I mean..you'll look great in a red or black color dress." Dania looks around and saw the new arrival dress in red color.

Just when she wants to walk there, Luna grabs her arm. "Uh, wait, Dania...I want white. I think I'll still look great in it."

Rose's sighing inwardly. 'Nothing can change her mind, huh?'

"Why?? Come on..it's too basic and doesn't have many accessories on it. You need to look elegant and sophisticated, standing next to your husband, which holds such a great name and position." Dania almost blow up. She did think that Luna was too easygoing in choosing her clothes for the party.

It's a party attended by high social people and status, why did she want to low herself in front of these people? Doesn't she care about what people will talk about her? She pinches her nose bridge when Luna still shakes her head.

"Why not you are the one wearing that red dress? I like this one. Come on, don't argue with me. I know what you're thinking, but I also know what I'm doing. So, chill Dania~" She smiles and hands the dress over to the boutique assistant.

"I take this one, and please take that red color dress from the new arrival shelf too. But, with these two ladies' size. Thank you." She points her finger to Dania and Rose, and Dania rolled her eyes.

Rose then comes forward and taps on Dania's shoulder before she shakes her head to Dania. "Just don't fight with her. Let her be, Dania." She said, and follow Luna from behind.

She walks to the accessories glass rack and finds a set of the earring which caught her attention. 

"What do you think, Rose? Does it will look good on me?" Luna is then pointing her finger to the set of the wings earring design.

Looking at the set, Rose then looks at the girl beside her. "Hmm...I think it'll look good on you." she just goes along with her idea. The set of that earring is beautiful as she says, even though Luna already had many sets of expensive earrings in her closet room. This design is something that Luna doesn't have in her collection.

"Alright then..I'll take this one too." She said to the girl who nods her head after Luna said that she'll take the set.

"Right away, Miss." 

"Are you satisfied now? Is there anything that you want to buy after this?" Dania folds her arm around her chest. Standing behind two girls at the cashier counter.

Smiling while turning to Dania, Luna said, "How about we find something to eat? Did you two hungry?"

Rose nod her head. She's hungry right now as they have been walking around the mall for almost four hours. Just to find this 'plain' dress that caught Luna's eyes.

Dania sighs and slowly nods her head. "Hell, I'm hungry as well." She said and looked at the outside of the store.

"Eh? Isn't that your mother-in-law, Luna?" She squinted her eyes, looking at the arrogant woman who sits on the cafe stool. Facing the outside of the store.

Luna craning her neck to see the figure that Dania said before she's smirking a bit. "Yup, that's her."

"Here's your card, Miss. Thank you, and please come again." The girl at the counter said while giving Rose the paper bag and the unlimited premium credit card to Luna.

Put back the card into her purse, Luna walks out of the shop, followed by Dania and Rose. They then spot another woman who scurried in a hurry to where Barbara sits.

"Eh, who is that?" Luna stops her pace and asking Rose at her side.

Looking at the person who Luna mention, Rose's frowning her eyebrows a bit. "Mmm..if I'm not mistaken…that's Miss Sarah's mother. Elanor Rochester."

"Oooh~ such perfect timing!" Luna giggles and happily walk to them again.

Bam!

Elanor is suddenly slamming the table using her hand, which then makes Barbara flinch a bit.

Looking at the woman who looks angry, she tries to put on a smile on her face. "Elanor~."

"Barb! What did you do to my daughter??" she rudely asked Barbara, who frowned, looking at her after hearing the question.

"What are you talking about?"

Scoffed at her, Elanor look at her with disdain. "You try to hide the fact, aren't you? You mentally abuse my daughter and make her miserable. How could you-"

"Oh, mother~" Luna walk closer to both of the woman with a smile on her face. "Such a blissful day to bumped you here, right, mother?"

Elanor turned her body to look at the strange woman who dresses poorly with a collective brand and even had a pink hair color!

"So, she's the one whom your prideful son has been cheating behind my daughter? Such a disgrace!" She was commenting on Luna's appearance while looking at her from top to toes.

Luna also looks at her clothes, nothing weird to look at. She just wears short pants with a loose shirt. A pair of black boot, and let her hair down with a side ponytail. Well, she looks cute though for a 'mom' like her.

"Pftt…well well well, auntie..don't just accuse if you don't know the whole thing." Luna was pointing her index finger on Elanor's tips of the nose. Luna almost wants to push it hard and see how she's gonna fall back on the floor.

"The thing is…My fiance never loves your daughter. She's the one who keeps daydreaming of becoming Mrs. Wayne. Don't you know, your daughter is a famous bitch known to the whole world right now? Comparing your daughter and me, don't you think your daughter is the lowest human being than me?"

Elanor gulped in angry. She glares at Barbara, which already turned her face to the side. Not knowing what to say anymore.

"You and your family will receive the humiliation you give me today. Just wait, I'll make the world know what kind of people are you!"

"Elanor… This is just a misunderstanding. I still had hoped with your-"

"Oh, mother~ did you forget? I'm Raymond's fiancee now. Your voice doesn't matter, and it doesn't give us any effect at all." Luna was mocking her with such a noticeable mockery smile.

Gritting her teeth, Barbara grip on the cup of her drinks. She feels like she wants to throw the hot coffee to Luna's face. But, regardless of how mad she is right now, she can't make a scene in a public place.

James will surely cut her neck if he knows it.

"Hmph! What a good pairing! Both come from the trashy place! No manner and rude!" Elanor spits on Barbara's coffee before she walks away in anger.

Barbara shocked and hung open her mouth when Elanor spit on her drinks. Glaring at the girl who is still smiling at her, she says, "Don't ever call me 'mother'! I'm not your mother and never will be!"

"Oh? Then is granny okay with you? Or you prefer auntie? Ah! Auntie looks good with your face after all. Okay, Auntie, it is.."

Barbara did not reply to her and walk out of the shop. She needs some fresh air to calm herself from blowing in anger.
