Chapter 269 - She's So Shameless!

At the same time,

"Why are you so late??" Elanor scolded Caitlin, who just enter the hotel lobbies. She walks leisurely and only wearing a simple dress. When her step-mother asks her, she only gives her a simple shrug. "There's heavy traffic around the main road."

Squinted her eyes, she tries not to raise her voice after hearing the lame excuse her step-daughter give her. "Hurry and change your dress. What will people say if they saw you, the-supposed-fiancee walk in with a shabby dress?"

Caitlin rolled her eyes and just walked to where Elanor went. Of course, she did not intend to stay for long. At least, until Sarah show up as her, and she's free to go. Everything will be a matter of her family to take care of later.

Elanor then stops at the front door, opposite to Sarah's suite. "There's a dress inside. Hurry and get change quickly. Once Sarah's been introduced, you can go." she said with one breathe before she turns around and enters the opposite room.

Tap the key card, Caitlin walks inside the room. There's nothing weird, and she could see a mannequin wearing a dress at the hall in front of her. Turning to the side, Caitlin turns on the switches.

"What you want to do, Sarah? You know Raymond will…"

Caitlin jolt the moment she heard the voice coming from somewhere inside the room. She then looks around her and found a recording of a video being shown on the standing mirror in front of her.

"What the hell..?" She murmurs and continues to watch the recording that is still playing in the mirror.

When she saw Sarah's figure on the video, she gasps a little and squinting her eyes. Focusing on the details and the place.

"Is that...Flynn? Wait... Flynn did tell me about something he needed to take care of at that time..don't tell me.." She pinches her forehead before she sighed and shakes her head.

"Dammit." She curses herself and finds the source of the video before she notices that the white dress on the mannequin is actually has been torn up at the edge of the dress. There's also a trace of blood, and it actually looks a bit creepy.

"I don't know who did this, but that person is actually helping me, huh?" Caitlin cracks her knuckles and her neck a bit.

When she went out of the room, she saw that Elanor and Sarah already leave their suite. This will makes Caitlin easier to 'disappear' from the party. She then secretly went to the spokesman of the event at the backstage.

"Hi, uh..can you play this video when the lady of the day enters the hall?" she asked with a cute smile on her face. Try to make sure she's looking natural and not a suspicious person.

"Um, who are you?" the spokesman asked while glancing at the girl in front of him.

"I'm on the lady's side—her sister. Do you want to check on my ID?" she asked and fishing her driving license from her purse. But before she could hand it over to the man, the man immediately took the USB flash from her hand.

"Uh, no need. I'll play it as your request." He said, and Caitlin smiles widely. "Thank you."

"Uh..but, if Mr. Ben asks about it, just say that it was my gift for him. He doesn't need to thank me, we're even now." she winks at the spokesman before she leaves the man dumbfounded for a moment before they start.

"Hey.." Luna went to Raymond's side before she links her arm around her man's arm.

Raymond did not reply to her as he leans to her and kisses her cheek. "You're just in time," he whispers and averts his eyes back to the person in front of him. One of the senators and he smiled widely, seeing the young couple in front of him.

"Darling, this is Mr. Fedrick. Senator who's been in business partner with Wayne group." Raymond introduces Luna to the old man. "And Fedrick, this is my fiancee, Luna."

The old man smiles widely, looking at Luna's features, praising her secretly in his mind for having such a beautiful face. She does look like good wife material. "I'm Fedrick." He extends his hand, which then Luna softly took it.

"Luna." Smiling, Luna looked back at Raymond before they continued talking about something which Luna did not understand. However, she keeps her composure and keeps on smiling.

After a few minutes pass, finally, Raymond took the chance to give his attention to his woman. "Excuse me, Fedrick," he said, and Fedrick nodded his head. Knowing his meaning.

Raymond brings Luna to a quiet place, behind the pillar near the terrace.

Enjoying the night view with her. "So, do you plan on telling me? Or I still have to wait?" he asked.

Luna chuckles and shakes her head. "No~" She then turns her body around, facing Raymond. Touch his solid chest and lean on him. "It will be a good show. I promise you."

"Hmm.." Of course, he couldn't stand the seduction from his wife. He lifts up her chin and kisses her soft lips.

The light inside the hall turned dimmed, which makes Luna push Raymond's chest gently. "We're in public." she glances at his majestic grey eyes.

"So?" He lifts up his eyebrow making Luna pinch his arm a bit.

"Let's go in. It's already started." She said and walked inside the hall while holding Raymond's hand.

"Ladies and gentlemen, presenting..the lady of the day...Miss Sarah, Rochester!"

Dumbfounded, Luna looked at Rose and Dania. They both also look so surprised. The announcement makes Raymond scrunch his eyebrow when he heard Sarah's name instead of Caitlin.

"What's going on? Why is it Sarah and not Caitlin?" Raymond murmur as he looks at the man wearing a white tuxedo standing at the center of the hall. He clearly seems so shocked, and his face did not show any gentleness nor a single smile at all.

Brian froze for a second when the spokesman announces the name of his fiancee. Not only him, but the entire hall suddenly turns silent like they're in a cemetery.

While the spokesman checks on the card again. 'I didn't say anything wrong, aren't I?' He feels like everyone was glaring at him as he did something very offensive just now.

Not able to calm down anymore, he signals his partner to play the content on the USB flash he receives from the girl who claimed to be the lady's sister. He thought it was a romantic musical song inside it.

Luna slowly walks to the red carpet side and stare at Sarah's expression, who looks better than she thought. Of course, she was remarkably in rage, seeing she will be Brian's fiancee tonight?

When she wants to take another step, Raymond immediately holds her hand and pulls her to his side, whispering, "Darling, don't."

Luna grit her teeth and clench her fist. Hoping that Brian will take his action since she knew Brian will never accept such a snake, like Sarah being his fiancee.

Raymond's whispering voice makes Sarah's turn her head to the side. And when Sarah saw Luna's face, she suddenly stops her pace and starts trembling a little. She wants to open her mouth, but then...

"What you want to do, Sarah? You know Raymond will…"

"Oh my god! What is that?" The guests start to focus on the video that is played on the big screen.

Dania and Rose also looked at each other. They want to remove the video, but Luna signaling them to stop. She mouthed at them, 'Let it play and let show to everyone here.'

Elanor was dumbstruck by what she sees. She turned to look at her daughter. "What is this, Sarah? Tell me! You didn't do it, aren't you?" She shakingly asks.

"It..it's…" Sarah look around her. The beautiful dress and the perfect makeover she's done today wasn't able to make any of the guests inside the hall look at her with a smile. Instead, she earned a glare full of disgust. Everyone was talking about her and whispering behind her back. The noise of those whisper makes her start to hallucinate again.

"I..!" She gulped. She then turns to the woman who had a similar face as Luna standing right next to the man who supposed to be his husband! Yes! Her husband!

A sudden rage and the rewind scene keep playing on her mind again. She loses her control as she runs aggressively to Luna. Trying to scratching Luna's face.

Fortunately, Raymond was fast enough to pull Luna's shoulder and protect her in his arm.

"You!!! It's all your fault!! Why didn't you die?!! Why??" she screamed as she hit the table with her punches before she's rampaging. Kicking and throwing everything around her to Luna's direction.

'So, she did do the thing like in the video?'

'Oh my god! She's insane!'

'So this is the true color of a famous daughter from Rochester?'

'She's so shameless!'

'Someone needs to drag her out! Security! Where's the security??'

The hall is in an uproar. While Sarah starts to pull her hair and tear her dress like crazy. "I'll kill you, bitch!!!" She then clenches on the fork before she runs to chase Luna again, which Raymond brought her to the terrace. Thought she might be scared of the sudden attack from Sarah.

"Baby, are you okay?" Luna wants to nod on Raymond's question, but then she gasps.

"You should die!! Die!!" Sarah screamed, and this time, Raymond didn't manage to dodge but defense her attack with his arm while moving Luna's body on his right side.

Stumble on the edge of her gown, Sarah falls down from the fifth floor to the sidewalk of the hotel.

"NOOOOOO!!! My daughter!!!" 

"Oh my god!! She falls down from the terrace!!"

"Medic!! Call an ambulance now!!"

Boom!!!

All eyes who are in the hotel's grand ballroom and terrace look at the opposite building, which also got bombarded. The dust from the explosive, surge to Luna and Raymond's face which standing in the patio.

In a blurry vision, Luna spots something small hanging on the next building floor before she gasps in fear.

"Alex!!!"
