Swoosh!
"Ugh.." Sky groaning when he felt his neck is a bit numb from being unconscious for too long in a sitting condition. All he remembers is when they were near the mountain covered with ice, the man who wore the lab coat injected them with a solution that made them sleep.
From the view he collected all along the way, he could guess roughly that they probably somewhere in Alaska because of the geographical location and terrain that Sky saw before he passes out before.
And now, his eyes been blindfolded by the cloth. And his hand and his foot also been tied up with a rope. His mouth has also been tied, which makes his jaw is awfully hurt from being open for too long. 'Dammit, don't they know I still a child?!' he hissed inwardly when he tries to move his hand, and all he could feel is only pain. Which means, they tied him a bit tight despite knowing they are still a child.
'Calm down, Sky..now, let see where they confined Alex and me.' he mutters and sniffing the smell of the place. It's a bit damp, and he could smell like wet dirt, probably mud mixed with snow from the outside? He could hear a howling sound like a wind. 'Or maybe it's a snowstorm?' he still guessing their situation.
'Well, forget that first, Sky. Why Alex is still not wake up yet?' he tries to move his body to the back, and he was sure there's something soft like a human body crouching down like him too. "Mmm! Mmm!" Sky tries to wake Alex up but no response.
"Mmm!" 'Is he mute? Or did they already kill him?' his heartbeat thumping loudly. Afraid of his second guess come true. Even though they both not too close, he still doesn't want Alex to die on him. Not here and not right now.
"M..!"
"Shhh!" Alex covers up Sky's mouth using his hands. "You'll attract their attention if you don't shut up," he whispers again.
Dumbfounded, Sky tilts his head a little. 'Wait, did they not tie him up too? Why it's only me? This is unfair!'
"I have a very little time now, here, help yourself to untie the rope." Alex gives Sky a small tool before all Sky could hear are the soundless footsteps, which he wasn't able to notice it before.
With the small cutter shaped like a pen, he starts grazing the rope patiently until it was cut. He then immediately took off the blindfold and the string that hurting his jaw. "Ugh..dammit, my jaw's hurt." Sky grunting and touches his jaw while rubbing it gently.
He then looks at Alex, who is actively do something on the corner of the room, which quite dark. Just like what he guess, they probably in an old cabin. There's no cement floor, only a hard ground covered with a snows footstep, which is still new. The smell is awfully terrible, and it's cold too. Sky pinch his nose a little.
"What're you doing?" He asked.
"Shh, just stay at where you are. Those guys were probably gonna come here at any moment." Alex said while still do his business and does not bother to look at Sky.
He has been waking up earlier than Sky. When he saw the man who dragged them into this place gone, he immediately unties himself and observes the area. It may look like an old and shabby cabin, but it was equipped with a few cameras inside it.
And knowing now is almost dawn where the security is less watched during this time, he took this opportunity to turn the table into their favor. Luckily, Lily gave him a set of tools hidden on his vest, and while those bad guys inspecting their body, they couldn't trace it as it's soft as toys.
While Sky's backpack has been taken away by them. He knew Sky might have a handy tech in his bag pack to make them able to run away from here, but since the situation is dire right now, he could only rely on Lily's tools.
It was supposed to hijack Sky's laptop if he refuses to do a fair deal with him and Lily in the first place, and now, it seems like it's gonna be useful for their escape.
After he's done with the setting on the last camera, he inserts his hand on his vest's pocket to find something. "Here." He extended his hand to Sky while holding a few pieces of card.
"Huh? What's this?" Sky look at the card. From what he could guess, the cards look like a monopoly game's card. It makes him scrunch his eyebrow a little.
"I think Lily said it was a portable gadget that can be used as a tiny laptop. Just attach them together, and you'll see it." Alex also tilts his head a little. Alex tried to remember what Lily had explained to him regarding the tools she gave him before the banquet.
"Really?" Sky took the card from Alex's hand and flipped it a few times before he finally nodded. "Ah..now I know how this card functions as a mini gadget." He smiles and continues to attach them together like a little puzzle.
'it's kinda creative and cute. Well, ain't that girl got a brain?' Sky praises Lily while turning on the gadget. Meanwhile, Alex already sits down beside him.
"I want you to hack into their system base, about those cameras, I already disable them manually. This place might look like an old cabin, but I could sense there's also an operation near here. A big one. But, I'm not sure what it is."
"You don't have to tell me. I know what to do." Sky said while his finger is dancing freely on the thin card, which looks like a keyboard to him. Less than a minute, he already on their system without being noticed at all.
"Done!" he smiles proudly and continues again, "Now…let see what they're after and who are they actually."
"Hurry up. We only have at least thirty minutes before they enter the cabin. We can't get out of here too in this snowy storm, or we'll die in the cold. The only way we could survive is to at least find the safest route first."
"I know. I'm not brainless, Alex. Leave it to me."
….
New York, on the next day.
Raymond touches on Luna's bedside, and he couldn't find her body before he slowly opens his eyes. Adjusting to the light before he sits on the bed and looks around the room.
There's no trace of his wife at all. Took his robe on the floor, he wears it and walks to the hall. There, he sees his wife was sitting on the sofa while looking blankly on the floor. She looks tired, and there's a little dark circle under her eyes.
"Baby…are you okay?" he asked and sat beside her. Tucking her hair to behind her ear and caress her cheek softly.
Luna was a bit startled when Raymond touch her cheek, she then turns to look at her man and rubs her cheek on his palm. "I couldn't sleep." she whisper as Raymond kiss her forehead.
"I'm sorry we couldn't stay long with Alex yesterday." He says he's sorry and continues to caress her hair before he continues again, "So, as repayment, you should get ready now. I'll bring you to meet Alex today as I promise. But we might need to go far away from here. I'll arrange transport for us. What you say, baby?"
Luna immediately opens her eyes wide and sits upright when she hears it. "Are you serious?" she asked.
"Have I ever joke with you, darling?" he smiles, seeing Luna start to laugh like before.
Shakes her head, Luna says again. "But…today's.."
"Don't worry. Owen is a great assistant I couldn't find anywhere. He could survive without me in the office. I'll make it remark as a business trip so my family wouldn't find me today." he assures her, and Luna bit her lips before she hugs the man in front of her. Touched by his love.
"Thank you, Raymond..I love you so much."
"I love you more." Raymond reply before Luna dash to the bedroom. Once Luna already in the bedroom, he takes out his second phone, which he used to contact Jamal and Brian only.
He dials on Jamal's phone before it was picked up on the second ring.
"Yes, Mister Ray?"
"Get Alex ready. I'll send a location for us to meet. Make sure no one follows you except for Brian's men." he give Jamal his instruction.
"Yes, sir."
After hearing Jamal's confirmation, he ended the call. He sent a message to Rose and Dania to get the private jet ready for them in thirty minutes later.
When he entered the bedroom, he saw Luna's bright smile, and she was humming while choosing her dress on the wardrobe happily. Seeing how she's happy makes him happy too.
Maybe…that's what real happiness is. One will unconditionally happy when the person he loves is happy too. Love knows no boundary, isn't it?
