Chapter 287 - You're My Savior

Thud. A rolling sound like a marble makes Flynn turn his head around to the hallways, which is quite narrow. He scrunches his eyebrow before he decides to follow that sound.

The sound of the rolling marble suddenly stops inside a room that is not guarded. From the look at the outside, the place is quite far from the main house. The door also locked from the outside.

Ssssttt.

Flynn looks down under the door before he stares at the piece of the paper, which looks like a kid's drawing. He took the paper out and observed the drawing for a moment.

It's a drawing of a house, and there's a kid behind the window facing the back house. It also has another picture of the man, which is Flynn believe is the guard of this mansion.

And at the center of the drawing, there's a little question mark drawn on the guard's face. Took out his pen, Flynn adds a cape behind the picture of that 'guard' on the drawing before he taps his finger on the door two times and returns the drawing back.

Just like Lily said, this Alex is quite good too. He knows how to make sure that he didn't get caught. So he decides to interact with him using the drawing he draws using crayon.

The drawing is actually to tell him where his location is precisely, and the question is actually to make sure of who Flynn is. He adds the cape with a red pen which telling Alex that he comes to rescue him.

A few seconds later, another drawing appears under the door, full of alphabet character, which is written randomly. Smile at it, Flynn decides to not mark at any letter on it. If someone were to find it, it'd be much trouble. He returns the drawing back.

Alex must be intriguing on who's side Flynn is on? Is it from Brian's army? Sky? Or his father?

But then, Flynn replies to him with a simple answer. CIA. It's better that way. He then taps his finger with 3-9-1, which he assumes Alex is familiar with the code. He gives Alex code that he will rescue him later at night as he still needs to find a way out from this mansion first.

And Alex replies to him with an OK before Flynn returns back to his post. Luckily he able to swap his shift at a few other places today. At least, he can get the exact blueprint of this mansion on his brain before he makes any plan to escape with Alex later tonight.

Beep…Beep...Beep...

"Can you retrieve her?" Luna asked as she saw Raymond's worried face. Even though she hates that woman, she still has a conscience that the woman she hates is the mother of her husband.

Raymond shakes his head while glancing at his wife, who was just coming out of the bedroom. "No. She didn't pick up my call. Where did she go?" Raymond mutter the last word before he sighed and tried to call his father after that.

It's been a few days since last Raymond hear any word from his mother. Somehow he felt something is odd. Raymond said to Luna that he thinks Barbara is in danger, but he can't find her anywhere, and Liam was not at the main mansion either. After all, it just his inner instinct, and he can't make a report base on his intuition, can he?

"Hello?" Raymond speaks, and Luna clasps her finger before she brings it on her lips. Hoping that Raymond would find an answer as to where did his mom disappear to. She also feels a little strange. Lately, there's no attack from her enemies? Where did they go? Of course, one is dead, and another one is now in prison, but hey...she got two more enemies, right?

"Hm, what do you want?" James' voice sounds so cold that Raymond frowned at it. 

"Dad, have you seen mom? I try to reach her, but her phone is off." Raymond said, and not long after, he heard a chuckle from his father.

"Why'd you care? Aren't you already abandon your family for that woman?" he asked, and again, Raymond felt something is not right. He dodges his question.

"You…what have you done to mom?"

"What are you talking about, Raymond? You think I do something to your mom? Heh! Think again, ungrateful son! You're the reason she lost her mind and what…you want to find her now? Don't you think that you're the reason why our family falls apart like this??"

Raymond's gnashing his teeth. Trying to hold back his anger. "Oh, did I? Don't you think that your impotent and greed that make our family turn out like this? If you act more humanly, I think we'll never turn out like this. You want to put the blame on me? Dad…find a mirror and look at yourself. Ask yourself why you never succeed in anything you want, dad..it's all because of you. Because of your greed and hopeless ambition."

"You!!"

"Just remember one thing dad, if I know you did something to my mother…despite of my hatred toward her, I'll put your life to an end. No matter I much I hate her, I guess I'm more hated you." Raymond ends the call and throws it away on the floor, which made Luna flinch a bit.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to-" Raymond huffed and went to Luna. Hug her and lean his head on Luna's shoulder. "I lost my temper. I'm sorry," he said, and Luna rub on his back softly. 

"What did your dad says? Did he know where's your mother is?" Luna asked. Judging by how mad Raymond just now, she could guess that Raymond didn't get the answer from his dad.

Raymond shakes his head. "He didn't tell me. But, if my guts are right, my mother might be somewhere where he can kill her."

"Raymond…do you think..your father capable of killing your mother? I mean…he must love her, right? He's been living with your mother for so many years."

Scoffed, Raymond shakes his head. "No, Luna..he's does not love my mother as you thought. I've been watching them since I was a child. He just pretends to love her while he's not. I don't know what's in his mind. But I really think he capable of killing my mother. Remember when my mom begs me that day?"

Luna scrunches her eyebrow a little. "Mhm,"

"Even she knows that my father is capable of killing her. And yet, she keeps on getting on my father's nerves. It's been almost a week, and I think we can't win with Ramona's case. I have to find my mom before my father really kills her."

"But how?" Luna pulls Raymond's face and looks at him with concern. 

Sighed, Raymond run his finger through his hair. "Maybe I can locate my father's location and sent Dania there."

"You're fine with the mission, right, Dania?" Raymond peeks at Luna's behind before Dania nods his head. She was there with Rose since five a.m., and now it's only nine in the morning.

"Sure. Just send me the location, and I'll go there right away." Dania did not argue with Raymond as he's the boss.

"Then, Rose, track my call and get the location of my father, I don't think he's in New York."

"Right away, sir," Rose said and went to track back the call from Raymond's phone.

When Dania and Rose are out, Luna caress on Raymond's cheek. "You're okay, darling?" she asked softly before Raymond kiss her.

"I'm okay. It just…I'm a little sad.."

Yes, he looks a bit sad, and Luna could feel it too. It also pricks Luna's heart to see her husband like that.

"I'm sorry," she said as she hugs the man. The guilty on her heart start to creep in.

"If only I-"

"Luna..please." Raymond caress on her hair. "It's not your fault. It's none of our faults. Let's just think of it as karma, okay?"

"But I-" Raymond makes Luna look at him in the eyes.

"I love you, Luna. No matter what happens, I will still choose you. After all, I already decided to leave the sinking ship long ago. It never your fault. It's my family fault that drags you into our mess and makes you and me as a victim."

Luna clenches her finger on Raymond's shirt. She only hopes that Raymond will never hate her later.

'I'm sorry, Raymond. I really am.'

"This will bound to happen anyway. I could sense it from long ago. It just that…I'm a little upset that I can't help any of them anymore. They're drowned too deep, and I'm the only one who is considered lucky. I met you, and you…turned my life in the right direction. You're my savior, Luna. So, don't blame yourself."

"Mr. Raymond, we already found the location." Rose suddenly enters the room, and she immediately turns her body around, "I'm sorry, sir…"

"It's okay, Rose." Luna wipes her corner of the eyes before she turns her body to the girl. A bit embarrassed.

"Tell Dania to go there when she's ready. Report to me back on what happened there." Raymond gives his orders, and Rose nods her head afterward.

"Right away, Mr. Raymond."
