Chapter 289 - Mom So Sorry.

"So, that's what happens, huh?" Dania rub her chin while her forehead creased like she was thinking so hard to connecting the dots here and there.

Well, to her surprise that Alex is a bit different than other children. But, she can totally understand it if James turns crazier to obtain Alex. Even he had to kidnap that poor boy. He probably wants to makes Alex the next heir.

She feels a bit relieved that Alex's disappearance didn't reach Luna and Raymond's ears. If not..she can't think of what disaster will Raymond do to his father. Will they have a bloody war? That would shock the whole city!

"So, what's bring you here?" Flynn asks while still keep looking around them. Guarding the perimeter. He had to explain it as short as possible to Dania. If he doesn't know that Dania work with Luna, he might have killed her tonight. But, since they were literally in the same group, there's no need to go that extend.

"Raymond send me to investigate about Barbara Wayne. Did you.."

"She's there. But, I don't think she can hold any longer." Flynn reply before he glances at Alex. Feels that a kid shouldn't listen to something like this. 

"Did it look bad?" Dania tilts her head. From what she could guess, maybe what Raymond said is true. His mother is in danger. If so, she should come with more peoples then.

Flynn slightly nods. "We need to go. I was about to send help to her. But, since you're here…can you handle it?" well, he still didn't inform anyone to send a rescue team there, but because Dania is here and it's her mission, he thought of asking her first.

Smirking, Dania nods her head. "Don't worry about me. You can go ahead. Make sure Alex safely returns to Mr. Brian's mansion." She assures the man before she went to Alex, who seems a bit sleepy.

Well, technically, he still a boy that needs a lot of sleep to grow up. She ruffles Alex's hair and smiles at him. "Alex..you should not wander alone again, okay? Or…your, mom will feel really sad."

Alex then looks at Dania's faces before he frowned a little. 'Since when did I wandering alone?' he tilts his head and tries to remember what did Flynn tells her.

He was a bit tired, and he may have lost his focus when Flynn was explaining the whole thing to Dania. But, after looking at Flynn's face, which casually smiles at him, he decides to just ignore what did Flynn tells Dania. Well, at least, there's no commotion and no need to make the parents go havoc.

Especially when Sky's location is still unknown. Even though Alex is out of that snowy mountain, he yet doesn't know where that place is. The area is too seclude and had nothing on the surface that Alex can't pinpoint the exact location even after he goes out.

The only thing he had right now is what Sky gave him that day. Of course, he tries to decode it, but it's really out of his level to do that. Only Lily can match him with coding or system.

After getting out of James's dent, his focus is to let Lily find Sky before something terrible happens to him. He wasn't that close with Sky, but the thought of his cousin in danger makes him anxious and scared.

They both saw what that place can do to people and just the thought that Sky had to endure it all alone in that kind of place…really make him tormented inside.

"Mm!" Alex nods and smiles back before they part their ways.

Looking back at Flynn, Alex squinted his eyes a little. "What did you tell her?" he asked. The curiosity is still lingering around his mind.

Chuckles, Flynn, crinkled his nose and shrugged his shoulder. "Just something to cover up your true capability and your actual situations. I think fewer people who know the truth are better. Don't you think so?"

"Hmm…" Alex rubs his chin with his fingers before he finally nodded his head. He agrees with him. Well, it's better that way. At least, until Lily can locate Sky's location. No one should know about him and Sky being kidnapped.

If someone (a.d.u.l.t) who's not master in this field interrupting their work, it could lead to another fault, and the chance to retrieve Sky is thin. For right now, Sky could be assumed as a live weapon who can control the world. His existence can't be disclosed to everyone.

Maybe with fewer people know, the better.

Dania sneaked into the mansion and went right to the place where Flynn told her earlier. She should be thanking Flynn as he already gives her a secure entrance.

Most of the guard in that mansion is still sleeping like a log, including the tiger behind the estate. She carefully pulls the doorknob to open the door, which she believes is where they hid Barbara.

Creak.

Dania squint her eyes. 'What the hell with this door? It's like opening the haunted door in a haunted house!' she starts to watch every move she makes so that there's no sound that could awake those guards.

"He…help….he…lp…me…" the eerie sound make Dania suddenly had goosebumps. She looks around the room and saw the frosted curtain, which looks like to cover an experiment bed and filled with equipment like in the hospital.

She walks to the curtain while still holding his rifle in standby. The more close she gets to the curtain, the more clearly she can hear someone's voice.

It sounded so heartbreaking that make Dania's heart suddenly felt the pain. She slowly pulls the curtain, and once she saw what's lying on the table, she almost puke and her tears suddenly fall down like a broken dam. Her heart starts racing.

She immediately turns her head around. Trying to get her right mind at the place again. She took a deep breath while enduring to hear the voice of someone who once she knew so vicious with her each word now whimpering for help.

"Plea…se…he…lp…me.." the hoarse voice makes Dania once again clenching her finger on her chest. Who could do this kind of torment to his own wife?

She slowly turns her body around and finds the strap that holding the woman's body on the table. It's also the right decision for her to cover up her face with the mask before she went in here so that no one can tell who she is.

She used her voice changer and asked the woman on the table. "Can you even lift up your finger?" while her eyes roam on the woman's body. Checking on the wound and blood that splattered on the steel bed.

She could only see 40% of her skin still intact with her body and the rest of it…. It was only covered with muscle and still-bloody red meat. She bet, the woman can't even walk. So, how she wants to help her out if she already in this state?

Barbara, lying on the table cries, she suddenly shakes her head and tremblingly open her mouth. "Plea…se. Tell..my son…that…I'm..s…so…sor…ry."

Dania bit her lips while still thinking of a way to bring her out. She looks around and finds a plastic that she can use to cover the body before she considers a quilt to lessen the pain when she's about to carry her later.

But, it's not as easy as she thought. The moment she wants to touch the body, Barbara screams in pain. "D...Don't!" she cries again. "Le…leave.." She said while looking at the girl in front of her. She was positive that this girl is someone who was sent by her son, Raymond.

"But, I came here to.."

Barbara shakes her head slowly. "I…I ca…cannot be…saved.." her tears fall again. "Ta..take…the….evi..evidence…a…and…go…"

Dania took another breathed before she started to walk in a circle for a few seconds before she finally sighed and nodded. "I got it. I'll tell your son that you're sorry."

Dania put back the plastic and quilt to the place she took it before. She then starts to find the evidence inside the room, such as the med they use, the skin sample, and everything that can be used as concrete evidence.

After she's done, she went back to the place where Barbara was lying, without half of her skin, and looking so pathetic. "Do you…" Dania gulped before she pulls out her phone and put her finger on the button to record.

She knows it might look so cruel, but..if this is the only way she can convey her last word to her son, then….why not?

"Do you have a message to your son?" Dania closes her eyes as she asked. Even though she might look tough, but she still just a human with emotion and feelings.

"R…Ray...Raymond dar..darling. I'm…" She hiccups as her tears still flowing down her cheek. "Mom..so sor..sorry. Plea…se let…your…si…sister..live."

"I..I…I lo..ve…you…bo..both.." as she said, her body's muscle starts twitching before shaking, and she couldn't even scream in pain anymore. All she could do is…regretting all her doing while she was alive.

Her vision slowly fading away..who could have thought that she finally die in the hand of the man she once destroyed his life?
