Chapter 298 - Will You Believe Me?

Seattle, Washington.

"Mission accomplished."

Lily sighs in reliefs before she rubs her palm to her face. "Finally." She mutters and takes off her headphone. She then turns off her laptops and takes her earrings with her.

"Where you want to go?" Alex, who still in her room, asked. Aren't they supposed to celebrate it? Sky finally returns back, and they finally discover the underworld business place. They solve a big case!

Smiling, Lily went to Alex's side. "Hey…I want you to promise me one thing." Lily said, and her expression looks rather sad than happy. It suddenly makes Alex a little anxious.

"What? What is it? Why are you suddenly sound so sad? Did Sky do anything to you again?" he asked. Not knowing what in Lily's head.

Shakes her head, she said again. "No..promise me first." She grabs Alex's hand, and Alex sighs before he finally agrees to promise her.

"Fine. I promise you. But what is it?"

"Don't ever tell them who you are, Alex. Sky too. Knock him out if you have to, but promise me, you won't ever disclose who you are to our parents or anyone. Okay? This is a secret that you have to bring until you die." Lily looks straight to Alex's eyes. Hoping that he would do as she said.

"What nonsense are you spouting right n-"

"Promise me! You have to promise me, Alex. Please!" Lily tightens her grip on Alex's hand, which Alex then nods his head.

"I promise you, Lily. Are you happy now?" Alex said, and Lily hugged him before she whispers to him.

"Thank you. And good night Alex." She injects him with something that makes Alex immediately pass out.

"I'm sorry, Alex. This is the only way I can guarantee your safety from now on," she said, helping him lay on her bed. By the time he wakes up, she will already at that place.

She then looks around her bedroom before going to the main foyer, followed by his father's steward, Robert. "Bring me..to the CIA's headquarters now." 

"But, Miss Lily-" Robert scrunches his eyebrow when hearing the young miss's order. He then looks at the housekeeper, Elizth. She also confused with Lily's word. As they both want to open their mouth, Lily said again:

"This is my order! Please inform my father that I will be there. I won't repeat it for the second time." Lily said firmly before she turned to Jamal, "Please look after Alex. Do not let him go after me, do you hear me?"

"Miss Lily.."

Lily smile at him. "You know what Uncle Jay, I always thought that you actually knew about us, don't you? But, you just pretend like you don't know. I appreciate it. Really, thanks for looking after us all this time. But, I want to take these responsibilities alone. So, please…"

Jamal lost his word. Actually, Jamal knew about it not too long ago. But as Lily said, he just pretended like he doesn't know. He knew Lily can handle this situation. Especially when she got help from two agents, she trusted.

If that's the only thing he could do for Lily, then..he will obey it. "Yes, Miss Lily. Please be safe." Jamal lowered his head a little, respecting her request. It makes Robert and Elizth look at him with a bit of a surprise.

"You too, Uncle Jay." Lily smiled and got inside the car that has been waiting for her at the porch.

CIA Headquarters, nighttime.

Bam!

"What is all of this, Lily??!" Brian looks so angry. He was busy at work when his steward calls him and informing him that Lily went to CIA HQ in Washington, D.C!

He then rushed there, and when he entered the meeting room, all he saw is her daughter in the interrogation room. Her hand bind with the cuff and she looks like nothing like a five years old child would react.

She was too calm, and her expression…really scares him the most. It's too familiar for him! It's the same expression that his wife use to shows him.

Looking at her dad, Lily said calmly. "I am...Kiera's owner, daddy. Hi." she smiles at him.

Bam! Another slam landing on the table, but Lily didn't flinch at all. "Don't lie, Lily!! Tell me, who asks you to do this?? Tell me!" Brian almost lost his mind.

How could his daughter be Kiera's owner?? Kiera was created since before she was born! She is perfectly a healthy little five years old daughter and acted like a normal little girl too!

"Ben!" Madeline rushing went inside the room and calmed her son down. "Please, don't be mad at her. We will find-"

"No need, grandma. You won't find anyone behind me because I am the mastermind. I am the one you've been looking for all these years. I pretend to be a little child while my IQ has been fully developed like you guys. Maybe a little higher than most of you here."

"Lily…please don't joke around-"

"Okay fine. How about this? Send your people to confiscated my hiding spot in my father's mansion? Inside my mother's private lab. I leave everything there. You free to find it, and I will answer all of your questions later." Lily cut her word again. She feels a little fed up when no one believes her word.

Why was it so easy with agent Caitlin and Flynn but so hard to her own family? Did they have trust issues here? She's ready to cooperate with them and answering anything that they want to ask her.

Didn't they have sought her for years? Why are they still waiting right now? Of course, the attack that happened years ago is not her doing, but what's the point of finding someone who already dies?

Since she's the one who uses Kiera and modifies her, let her take all the blame. This is also her promise that she made with Caitlin and Flynn. Even though they both probably didn't expect her already be here right now.

Madeline sighs and instructs her people to look for the prove that Lily says. That's the only way to know the truth, after all. She also shocked by this sudden news. She runs back from the important meeting in the White House when she hears this news.

She thought she hears it wrong, but maybe…Lily can do something like this. She's bright and smart, and on top of it, she's Ben's daughter. If her father can achieve so many things in his youth, why not his daughter?

"Ben..let's get out of here first. Calm yourself down. You are only hurting her like this." Madeline said softly to her son, which then Brian pinch the bridge of his nose and wipe little tears in his eyes.

"I feel so useless, mom.." He mutter is slowly and turns around. Looking at his daughter, who is already staring at the table blankly. 

"Why you did this to me, Lily? What did I do wrong to you?" he asked with his hoarse voice. Hearing it makes Lily turn her face to the side. Hiding her own tears.

'Sorry, daddy…'

"Ben…" Madeline pat on his son's shoulder before Brian take his jacket and get out of the room.

When he was sitting on the floor at the corner of the hallway, he hears a soft panting sound, running toward him.

Squatted down, the woman holds both of his shoulders. "Where is she, Brian? Where's Lily??" Luna shakes Brian's shoulder.

He looks so sad and down. Looking at Luna's face, Brian hugs her before he broke into tears. He had no one to tell how pathetic he feels right now.

Pats on Brian's back, Luna whisper, "It's okay...Brian..it's okay. I'm here for you."

Raymond, who just catches up with Luna, stop his pace and stand there silently. He only a few steps away from them, and he couldn't do anything. He knew Brian had no ill intention by hugging his wife.

He just needs some courage. Even if it happened to Alex, they also would be just like him. He left the hallway and made a call to Jamal. Asking about Alex's condition. In this situation, it's better to retrieve Alex back from Brian's mansion.

"Can I see her, Brian? Let me see her, okay?" Luna asks when Brian is a bit calm after crying.

He nods his head and leads Luna to the interrogation room where Lily has been detained. When Luna walks inside the room, she could see a lot of people have been watching her little girl from the glass room. It makes her a little sad.

"Sir-"

"It's okay..she's like a mother to my daughter. Let her in. Maybe she can get any information from Lily." Brian said to one of them before they finally agree to let Luna enter the room.

Luna opens the door and smiles at the girl who sits silently staring at the table in front of her. "Hey, darling.."

Her voice was able to make Lily lift up her head. "Mama!" her eyes look shining before she shrinks her body and looks down on the table again.

"Hey..what's with that gloomy face? I didn't come here to scold you. I want to listen to you. Do you want to share it with me? I miss you much, darling.." Luna took a sit in front of Lily before she gently caresses the little girl's hand.

"Will you believe me, mama?" she was hoping that Luna could trust her since everyone here didn't trust her.

Smiling, Luna nods her head. "Of course, I will. When did I ever not believe in you?"

"Thank you..mama.." the tears that she hold back earlier broke when Luna caress her cheek dearly.
