Chapter 306 - Epilogue

"Hero? Hero?" Alex looks around the garden while calling for Hero. After five minutes of looking for the dog, he finally found Hero near the oak tree behind the mansion.

"Hm? What is he doing there?" Lily, who was walking next to Alex, tilts her head. Today is the second day of summer break for the whole country. So she decides to stay with Alex for the entire summer break.

She likes it here, in Beaufort. The scenery is totally awesome! It also near the beaches, and the people in this town are all nice! If only she can stay here forever, she would like that idea.

But she knows, she can't leave her father alone in Seattle. While she was lost in her thoughts, Sky suddenly pokes on her cheek.

"Why did you suddenly left me?" Sky asked. He also then looked at the dog, which is digging the dirt near the oak tree.

"What is your dog's doing there, Alex?" 

"Tch! Why are you always pop out wherever I go?" Lily rolled her eyes while rubbing her cheek where Sky touch earlier.

"Hm..because this my uncle's house. I can come and go wherever I want, right, Alex?" He lifts up his eyebrow, which only makes Lily irked.

While Alex just hears those two arguings, 'Hmm..yeah, right. Why don't you two just go back and flirt all you want? Why must you two come to my house, anyway?'

Alex could only be sighing before he stops the fight between the two. "Hey, hey..don't start your 'lovely' fight here."

"What? He starts it first." Lily gap her mouth while looking at Sky, who only giggles at her.

"What did I do?"

"Okay, you-"

Woof! Woof! Hero suddenly barking makes the three of them turned their head to the dog.

"Oh, he found something." Sky said and walk to the dog, followed by Alex and Lily.

The three of them then look at the hole that Hero digs earlier and scrunches their eyebrow looking at the old box buried there.

"Eh, is it a treasure box?" Lily asked, and Alex pulls out the box from the ground.

He wipes the dirt before he's turning the box to the right and left. "Em...I guess not."

"Look, there's a letter on top of this box." Sky points his finger on the box, which then Lily and Alex avert their eyes to the letter.

"R?" Lily muttered slowly.

"Maybe it's for Raymond?" Sky said casually, and Alex agrees with him.

"Do you want to open it?"

Alex looks at Lily, thinking either he should or not opening this box. What if this is something that his father hides from them? It is like a secret that he doesn't want his mom to know, or maybe it is just a useless thing inside it.

"Is it okay for us to open it?" Alex looks at them both as then they shrugged their shoulder.

"I don't know. But, it's not a treasure box. So, I think it's fine." Lily said, and she looks at Sky.

Sky nods his head after. "Maybe it just a regular box. Just open it, and if it's supposed to be bury, then we'll put it back."

After hearing the suggestion from those two, Alex finally agrees to open it.

"Alright…here I go.." He squeezes his eyes while trying to open it slowly. Sky and Lily also look a little excited to see what's inside the box.

"Ta~da~," Alex said after he opens it and slowly opening his eyes. "Hm? What is this?" he tilts his head a little.

Sky and Lily also a little at a loss, looking at the content inside the box. It just stuff that they found… 'normal.' Not something like gold, diamond, or anything that has a value.

"Well..maybe it's a time capsule?" Sky tries to lighten the mood between them. 

"Time capsule?" Lily turn her head to Sky, and he nodded. "Yeah, like something that we want to look at it again after some years passed.."

"Judging from the stuff inside, I can say that…it must be something that has sentimental value to your dad, Alex." He points at the things inside the box.

Alex then averts his eyes back to the box and take out a drawing paper that folds nicely, he opens it, and he laughed a little.

"Yeah, I guess Sky is right." He shows the drawing to both of them. "Look, this is the drawing from my 'Day' father. The Autism kid."

Lily smiles. Yup, it really looks like the autism kid's drawing. But it was somewhat lovely. There's a picture of Alex's father, Raymond, and Luna. But there's also a picture of someone they believe is the old butler of the house, Mr. Carson. The three of them were looking at the sunflower garden.

Fold back the drawing, Alex took out another 'things' inside the box. This time its a photo of the tattoo on both of their body.

"Wow..nice tatt!" Sky said and showed it to Lily. "You want to make a couple tattoo with me, Lily?"

"Tch! Who wants to be a couple with you?" Lily rolled her eyes and gave the picture back to Alex.

Alex took the picture and flipped it at the back of the photo. There's a note written by 'Ray.'

'Every day is like a new journey for us. XOXO, your forever love -Ray-'

"Well, this 'Ray' indeed a sweet talker type. Just like Mama told us." Alex chuckles and puts it back inside the box.

The last item he took out is a.. 'ice cream wrap?'

"I wonder what's the story of this ice cream wrap?" Lily said as she also looks at the last item.

"That's a rare one. You can't get those ice cream if you didn't buy it from the.." Sky stop his word and take the ice cream wrap from Alex's hands.

"What's wrong?" Alex asked.

Chuckles, Sky said again. "Well..this ice cream contains alcohol. If I'm not wrong, this ice cream is quite famous in Charleston. So, maybe they have a date at that place or something. Anyway, all these things have their own sentimental value." He gives back to Alex.

Alex nods his head, "Yeah..it's the item of the three of them. Should I bury it back?" 

"Let's put it back, maybe it meant for Mama to find it, or it's actually for your dad to dig it years later…?"

Sky giggles with Lily's answer. "Should we head back home now? It's almost dinner time. I afraid Aunt Luna will be freak out if she knew we play far from the house."

Agree with the two of them, Alex put it back the box in the hole and bury it before he is signaling Hero to follow them back home.

"Why it's so quiet?" Lily asks when the three of them walk in the hallways on the second floor. They want to return to their bedroom and take a bath before they start dinner at seven.

Sky and Alex look at each other. Well, for them they know where the parents went. At this time, they probably in the shower together or…somewhere in the house.

Jamal and Rose usually go for a bicycle ride in town and will be back in half an hour later.

"Eek.." 

Flinched, Lily turned her head to the side. "Did you two hear it?"

Alex and Sky nod before they both sighed. "Um..just ignore it."

'It's probably just a m.o.a.ning sound.'

"Eeek.."

"No, that's-" Lily looks at the door, which is open a bit. "Eh? I think I heard the sound from here."

She then opens the door before Alex and Sky able to stop her. "Wait-"

"Eee.."

"Oh? Ava is awake?" Lily smiled and went to the baby crib. It's Ava's room. Raymond's second child, Ava Wayne.

Alex and Sky unknowingly sigh in relief before they both went to Ava's crib.

"Ava, want to play?" Alex said as he then takes a soft toy and shows it to her. Ava is now only eight months old, and she's a very plump little baby girl.

"Ava..do you want me to sing?"

"Uu…Uu…" Ava starts pouting her lips and moves her hands' ups and down before beginning to open her mouth wider. "Uuwaaa…"

In a flash, Sky gives her a bottle of milk, and she instantly stops crying and drink it. She wants to try to hold the bottle.

Lily and Alex both were surprised by how fast Sky handle it. "Whoa.." Alex is still amazed.

Bother by the gaze they give him, Sky said, "What? I have three siblings."

"Ahem.."

The three of them immediately turn their body around and found that Raymond and Luna were standing at the door frame, smiling to them.

"What are you guys doing?" Luna went to them and caress on Alex and Lily's head.

"Well, …um..Ava starts crying…so we..give her the milk."

Chuckles, Luna said again. "Thanks, my darlings. And Sky too."

Raymond went to the crib and took over the milk bottle that Sky was holding, and he lifts up Ava into his arm. "Thank you, Sky. Dinner's ready, guys. You three should take a bath and come downstairs, alright?"

"Alright, papa!"

Just after the three of them went to their room, Raymond brings Ava to Luna and poke on his daughter's cheek softly.

"Ava's looks just like mama, hm?"

"Not entirely. Ava looks just like Alex's when Alex was a baby." Luna said honestly, and they both walk downstairs. By the time they went to the kitchen, Jamal and Rose also just returned from their ride.

They help Luna prepare the dinner while Raymond was watching Ava and waiting for the kids to go downstairs.

While playing with Ava, Raymond saw Hero suddenly went inside the house with his fur covered with dirt.

"Hey, buddy, did you roll and play on the ground today?"
