Lenny and Glenn stood at the edge of the unbounded Forest of Discarded Sufferings.
It was a fine day, bright and cool. Evidently, winter was coming to this part of the world.
Glenn was dressed in a simple, nearly transparent silk dress. The type that left nothing to the imagination with much to work about her fine nakedness underneath.
It was held to her body by two straps, one on each side, and it flowed down to her feet.
Whenever the wind blew, it would make the dress stick to her curves, making for extra allure.
Lenny knew that her choice of clothing today was one last effort to try and seduce him to stay.
However, it was of no use.
Even if she had come at him with a garden of exotic fruits on her naked body, it would not be enough to sway him from his goals.
He had big things he needed to do.
Besides, Lenny was of the natural notion that if he did not go looking for trouble, then trouble was definitely going to come looking for him.
The hunt by Minnie was an example of this, and right now, he was still greatly lacking in strength.
Considering the kind of losses he caused for Cuban, Lenny knew that Cuban was definitely going to come for his neck.
What he needed at the moment was more opportunities to grow.
Also, as an assassin, he hated the lack of adequate information reaching him about the outside world.
There was an old saying in his previous world about information: If knowledge and information are kept constant, then money will never stop coming.
But in the assassin circle, it was translated to: If knowledge and information are kept constant, then the target was already dead before it became a target.
Glenn's Domain was an isolated place. Although it appeared peaceful, Lenny thought it to be an illusion, a mental prison of comfort, and a killer was never meant to become comfortable.
Comfort was the pleasure only the dead deserved.
It was time to go.
However, just as Lenny was about to step out, he was stopped in his tracks by a shout.
He turned behind and was surprised to see who it was.
It was Father Black, Nikky, Scarface, Insect-B, and Crusher.
They came to wish him well on his departure from the domain.
On seeing him, Nikky rushed up to him first.
She hugged him outrightly. "Thank you for everything."
Lenny was taken back by this, and for a second, he actually paused, unable to comprehend the response he was supposed to give.
After all, the only thanks he had ever gotten for his service was money.
The last time he heard a thank you was after the event where he killed the mailman.
Slowly, he patted her back in a very awkward manner.
Once she was done, she left, allowing Scarface to step forward.
"Thank you for killing Bear! Now, I can have that asshole's mother with no one to stop me." He bowed to Lenny in thanks.
That was an awkward thank you that even left Glenn raising a brow at Lenny.
Next was Father Black.
He stepped forward, holding a big box that he handed over to Lenny.
"Here is a fine collection of cigarettes and cigars. Thanks for clearing my debt with Ella," he gave Lenny a knowing link. "Try not to smoke them all in one day," he chuckled lightly.
Lenny chuckled too as he sent them all to the storage unit.
Father Black smirked, "Damn! You really need to teach me that trick."
Next, Insect-B and Crusher stepped forward.I think you should take a look at
Crusher went for a gladiator handshake, grabbing Lenny from the elbow, and so did Lenny.
"Are you sure you won't join me? There will be more demons to kill."
Crusher shook his head. "No! Don't worry, I'm good here," he looked at Insect-B and smiled.
Lenny raised a brow at this.
Crusher never wanted a life of fighting to begin with.
He would rather enjoy his life laid back, eating and screwing all day long.
The only reason he has lived this long is because he fought to attain such a life.
But Lenny thought it was a waste that a man of Crusher's talent be allowed to do nothing all day long.
He turned to Insect-B and said, "Don't let him spend all his time fucking your ass. If he does not train more, feed him to the little ones!"
"Yes, Father!" She answered without hesitation.
"Wait, what!?" Crusher felt betrayed.

"And if there is any new information, don't forget to contact me." Lenny tapped at what appeared to be a vein at the side of his neck.
However, only known to him and Insect-B, it was a worm.
Insect-B nodded.
"Good!" Lenny patted her head lightly.
She turned and was about to leave.
"Wait! Wait!!" Crusher ran after her. "You won't actually feed me to the little ones, right?"
Glenn chuckled as she stepped forward.
"That is a very weird daughter you have. Who is her mother?"
Lenny chuckled. "An old demon queen. It was barely a date, and she wanted to have children with me."
The way Lenny summed up his relationship with the Chimera Queen in one sentence left too much room for Glenn's misunderstanding.
However, Lenny cared little about that.
He turned around and was ready to go.
When a loud shout came from behind him.
He turned around to see that it was Perseus.
He had not seen Perseus since the release from Ciri's rock cells.
Athena had obviously taken Minnie's side and teleported away with her.
And Hector was nowhere to be found.
Lenny had even asked Glenn to search for him with her control over the domain.
However, the case was still the same.
That left only Perseus behind.
These last few days had gotten Perseus to have a little self-reflection on himself.
And he had already made up his mind.
Perseus was dressed just as Lenny was. in full overall black attire.
The same one Ella's men used at the last battle
Perseus reached Lenny. There was a ready sword at his side. "I'm coming with you!"
