884 The Rainbow Bridge Of Emotion
In the ethereal expanse beyond mortal and immortal understanding, a realm where time folds upon itself and the fabric of existence is woven, the Sisters of Fate stood in solemn council.
Their lamentations echoed through the ages, a dissonant chorus against the backdrop of infinity.
These ancient arbiters of destiny, each embodying a phase of life, now found themselves at a crossroads, their meticulously laid plans unravelled by the defiance of a single soul.
The youngest, embodying the innocence and potential of youth, voiced her frustration, her words tinged with the bitterness of betrayal. "What is he doing?" she cried, unable to comprehend the rebellion of Lenny Tales, the one they sought to mould.
The middle sister, her wisdom and resolve forged in the crucible of countless ages, echoed the sentiment, her disappointment a heavy shroud. "We prepared the path for him, and yet, he stabs us in the back."
The eldest, a witness to the rise and fall of aeons, declared their doom with a resignation born of foresight. "He has doomed us all!"
Their collective ire turned towards Uriel, the catalyst of their current plight. The sisters viewed him through the intricate web of fate, his smirk a beacon of defiance against their will. "That fallen one, always a thorn in our side," the youngest hissed, her voice carrying the weight of ancient grudges.
Even as they cursed both Lenny and Uriel, the realization dawned upon them—their complicity in the unfolding drama. "We did sell the boy's fate to the Morningstar," admitted the youngest, a hint of remorse threading through her words. Lucifer, it seemed, had anticipated this turn of events, leaving the sisters to grapple with the consequences of their actions.
Resolute, they passed their singular eye among themselves, a symbol of their unity and shared burden. "If the boy is not useful to us, then he is nothing but trash," declared the eldest, her words final.
"And we all know what we do to trash," she added, her laughter chilling as it resonated through the void.
Summoning a yarn of fate, they contemplated their next move, their power to alter past and future alike a fearsome weapon against those who dared defy them.
Meanwhile, Lenny, oblivious to the machinations of the Sisters of Fate, stood before Uriel.
Unbeknownst to him, the very forces that had once aided his ascent now conspired for his downfall.
The Sisters, feared even by celestial beings, had marked him, setting the stage for a confrontation that would test the very limits of his supposedly newfound freedom.
After all, was freedom real?
No matter how free one could be, the one with strength would dictate their life.
Being the fact that he was an immortal being, it only got worse.
And so he sought for help.
It was at this point that he journeyed to the Rainbow bridge of emotion to seek the counsel of the entities that kept it'd ever-flowing rivers steady.
They were Empathy, Sadness, Joy, Anger, and the twins Hatred and Love.
However, they did not give him any useful advice that could quench the mixture of emotions that caused problems in his heart.
And in his anger and desperation for a solution, he attacked, killing Hate in the process.
However, it was not enough and fled the place.
If Hatred were to die, the cosmos would be unbalanced and the world would enter turmoil.
With no other chain, the matter, Love who was a twin of Hatred blinded herself to give hatred a part of her core and life force.
It is said that for this reason, "It is easy for one to love whom they hate and hate whom they love."
It is also the reason why "love is blind."
Lucifer also made several visits to other minor and great entities but his problem only grew worse with time.
Besides, everywhere he went, he would cause a level of destruction. His grief was spreading far and wide.
And it caused turmoil for other beings.
It was at this point that he made a final decision. This was a decision that would forever change the affairs of the cosmos.
