"Obviously, he or any one of you cannot pursue me for this matter nor reveal my true status. All that I had worked for had just gone down the drain, after all."
"As I said before," Myria responded to the Blazing Thunderlight Sect Founder's amused words.
"It is foolish for Anarchic Divergents to battle each other. You'll only be doing a favor to the heavens at that point."
"I agree. That must be avoided at all costs~ As for the condition..."
The Blazing Thunderlight Sect's Founder paused a moment before answering, "I want you to heal me three times in case I'm heavily injured or revive me a single time if I die-"
"-Although I think that it wouldn't happen."
Blazing Thunderlight Sect's Founder giggled ever so lightly. She still exuded the demeanor of a person who had the advantage despite appearing to be cornered, causing Myria to narrow her brows.
"Besides healing from a state of near death, why would you think I can revive someone?"
"It's fine if you don't want to reveal your true abilities even after reviving someone that put you on a round of scrutiny. You may be able to fool others but not me. At the Immortal Emperor Stage, as long as someone reaches Level Four Quiddity in Space and Time Laws, it is possible to comprehend the reversal of time and revive someone but doing so would invite a backlash from the heavens. However, you didn't seem to have incurred such a thing from what I heard, so I know you used the powers you just displayed to bring that person back to life."
"…"
Hearing the Blazing Thunderlight Sect's Founder piece apart the story like she had seen it with her own eyes, Myria sighed.
"Well, if this proposition is any advantage for you, I would also act as your protector for a single time when you require it in exchange. You're a Saintess, after all. Why don't you use my services?~"
The Blazing Thunderlight Sect's Founder pressed on, causing Myria to sigh.
The moment she knew that this woman had taken Davis captive right after his tribulation, she understood that the other party must be a high-level Heaven's Warrior or a Divergent, but never did she expect the other party to admit that she was an Anarchic Divergent in front of her these few days, appearing unafraid of repercussions.
Myria was here from the start, in talks with her to release him, but she kept stating that she would negotiate with the Emperor of Death and that she didn't need to interfere.
She couldn't make a move as she was weak, and neither could Void Dust Empress, as it culminates disasters for her in every way possible. She had already helped as much as she could, so if she aided them anymore, Myria knew she was seriously putting her life on the line for a man she owed nothing to.
If it weren't for Stella Voidfield pleading with her mother, she thought the Void Dust Empress wouldn't have most likely moved, and since the Void Dust Empress came out, she was also confident enough to go toe to toe with this powerful foe in front of her. After all, in these few weeks, she had rapidly improved her Soul Forging Cultivation all because someone said to concentrate on reaching her prime's peak, allowing her to focus.
Naturally, the Blazing Thunderlight Sect Founder's prowess wasn't the only thing she could be wary about, as she learned too many things during her stay.
The Patriarch of the Blazing Thunderlight Sect was basically a yes-man to her. The Bloodcloud Family had somehow become subservient to her, and she also had other provincial powers under her whim. It wasn't that hard for her to imagine that she had the same control over their Ancestors, making it so that she had a huge reserve of manpower to use.
Myria felt like she couldn't underestimate this woman, especially as it didn't look like she was using charm but absolute control, as though she could kill them anytime she wanted so that they remained fearful of her.
"I understand."
Myria dropped her hands, the reincarnation wheel finally dispersing as the phenomenon of heaven and earth changing colors faded.
"That proposition: I'll accept."
========
"Hmm?"
While Davis and Deathseeker were brainstorming, they suddenly saw the bars disappear as though they had never existed.
"…"
Davis furrowed his brows in confusion. His senses extended out, and he was shocked to find out that he could actually get out.
Then both the master and disciple looked at each other.
It wasn't long before Davis found himself climbing the stairs of this prison along with Master Deathseeker and Yilla before he appeared out a secret pathway, which led to a concealed room, which then led outside before he finally made it to a hall.
At first, he thought he was being led somewhere to be played with but looking at a white-robed woman whose white hair was a scintillating silver underneath the grand lighting of the half, his eyes flashed with shock and wonder.
"Myria…"
His voice sounded moved, but at the same time, he saw the Blazing Thunderlight Sect Founder stand opposite to her, his gaze squinting.
"What's happening here?"
"Isn't it obvious? You got bailed out by your mother-in-law over here."
'Mother-in-law…?'
Davis's expression fell. Is that what she introduced herself as to the Blazing Thunderlight Sect's Founder?
Although he did say to Myria that he would make her a grandmother by bringing a child into this world with Ellia, he didn't really mean it that way. He only meant it as a way to make her think that they were family since she was possibly of the mind of leaving at that time.
He didn't want to lose her, but neither did he want her to be trapped in anything because of him.
"You… what did you make her accept?"
Davis walked towards them, his expression cold.
The Blazing Thunderlight Sect Founder's lightly smiled, "Be grateful to mother-in-law Myria, Emperor of Death. If it weren't for her, I would've squeezed everything from you."
However, her smile faded slowly before she had no choice but to slightly raise her head, looking at him towering over her.
"Bold of you to stand here before me like this when you're still weak. Do you want to die that badly?"
"I'll ask you the same thing. What did you make her accept, you cunning woman?"
They both had their eyes wide, glaring at each other.
"Enough. It doesn't entail anything more than a transaction between an apothecary and a bodyguard."
Myria frowned, "We didn't even sign a Blood Soul Contract, so there's no binding other than good faith."
She had intervened precisely to stop Davis from using Fallen Heaven, but now he was trying to do exactly that?
Davis's gaze flickered. He turned to glance at Myria before returning his gaze to the Blazing Thunderlight Sect's Founder.
How was that possible when it came to this cunning woman?
*Boom~*
Abruptly, a wave of raw pressure sent him flying back a few meters, causing him to slide over before he balanced himself.
"Too arrogant. If you want to challenge me, come back when you become an Immortal Emperor."
The Blazing Thunderlight Sect's Founder turned around, her figure seemed to be trembling from anger as her voice resounded unamused.
