Chapter 83 - One Year Later

"Alright. I want to ask again, are you sure you agree Jiang Ying Yue?" Chanying asked.

Jiang Ying Yue nodded firmly. "Yes, I agree."

"Very well. From now on, you will train directly under my guidance for 5 years the time in here that equivalent to 1 year to the time outside. Your friends will train under the guidance of the treasures that was left behind by the elders of the valley previously. You must train hard and endure every hardship. Are you guys ready?" Chanying looked at all of them.

This was going to be a new start for not only the valley but also all of them.

All of them nodded with determined gazes. They all had their own reasons to get stronger so they didn't want to miss this opportunity!

"We are ready." All of them shouted at the same time. Chanying could feel their determination from their voices. Good. This was her only chance to pass the inheritance and knowledge from the valley to these youngsters.

This was her only shot!

Chanying nodded in approval. "Good. All of you will train separately and as for food and drink, you will need to practice food abstinence from now own. This will strengthen your body and cultivation. Let's go."

Standing in front of a large cherry blossom tree was a girl in a sky blue robe. Her white veil fluttered along the wind. Her robe was a bit short for her and it couldn't hide her fair and slender hands.

It had been 5 years since the time she accepted the inheritance and she had been practicing hard since. She didn't have even a single rest day at all but it was all worth it. Her cultivation skyrocketed, and her skills improved in various ways.

Even her alchemy and healer skills had improved by leap and bounds. Why? Because apparently, Chanying was a prodigy in both alchemy and healing so she managed to learn it all from her.

In these 5 years, she didn't enter the Godly Space at all as she couldn't enter it. She didn't know the reason why either. Maybe this place had an array that didn't allow her to enter her space.

She was now 14 years old as they only spent one year for the time outside. In here, she aged according to the time outside and not according to the time here.

She was no longer thin and malnourished, her countenance matured up and she no longer had the the bits of baby fat on her face that she had before.

But still, since the time she got her period almost 10 months ago, she grew at a fast rate was now considered a woman in this world.

Heck, her family could even find her a fiance and she could get married next year when she's 15! It was because, in this world, 15 was the legal age for you to get married but luckily, cultivators could get married a bit later as they had a long lifespan depending on the level of their cultivation.

Hopefully her family didn't find her any fiance or she would have to kill that guy! Hoho.

Jiang Ying Yue was now 168cm which was quite tall for a girl her age. But she guessed that maybe in this world, that was a normal height. She didn't even want to think about the weirdness of this world.

"Ying Yue." A soft voice called her from behind.

Turning around, Jiang Ying Yue saw Chanying who was now she called as her master. She couldn't even believe that she could have two masters in this lifetime. Both were nice to her and very indulging.

Jiang Ying Yue smiled at the woman in front of her. "Yes master? Is there anything that I can help you with?"

Chanying looked at the direct-disciple in front of her. This girl was the successor of the valley. She had grown so much in just a short 5 years that it even shocked her to the core.

One day, she found out that Jiang Ying Yue was an Omnia Magus and a violet innate talent bearer when they were training.

But, Chanying didn't know about the Blood Moon curse nor the space in Jiang Ying Yue's body. Back then, when she offered the 3 things that Jiang Ying Yue desired the most, it was plainly based on the information that she got from Jiang Ying Yue's heart.

Chanying couldn't find out anything more other than a person's utmost desire. Her power was only limited to that.

Chanying answered Jiang Ying Yue's question with a tender gaze. She had not managed to get married before and this girl was like her daughter. "You have officially completed your training yesterday and today, we will conduct your inheritance acceptance ceremony together along with your friends. But before that follow me somewhere first."

Jiang Ying Yue nodded and together, they went to a place underneath the palace.

At first, all she could see was a long tunnel and they walked till they arrived in front of a huge door, just like the one she encountered back then after she completed the third test.

Chanying turned to look at her. "Remember the voice you heard when you went through the three tests 5 years ago?"

Of course Jiang Ying Yue still remembered the dark and eerie voice. She nodded her head slightly. "Yes, I do. Why master?"

Chanying smiled. "That was the voice of the guardian of this place and also the guardian of the successor. Before you accept your inheritance, you must enter this room and gain his approval first. He was the guardian of Symphonia Valley's first master."

Jiang Ying Yue was slightly shocked but there was no change of expression on her face.

Chanying continued. "Every successor must gain his approval first before being the official successor and valley master. Back then, when you first entered the array and fell into the tunnel, even I felt weird that he wanted to conduct the tests himself. So I let him did as he wished."

Chanying made a puzzled face because until today, she didn't know the reason why the great master behind this door wanted to conduct the tests himself.

"He was the guardian of the first valley master and has been here since, not being a guardian to anybody. He is moody and rarely talks. I have my own guardian but it followed my soul away as it was contracted to my soul. If it approves you, he will give you a guardian to follow and protect you."

"But what if he doesn't approve me?" Jiang Ying Yue asked pensively.

"If he doesn't, I'll approve you on my own and use every last power that I have to summon my guardian for you. Don't worry, I believe he will like you."

Jiang Ying Yue nodded. She wanted to say that Chanying shouldn't go that far just for the sake of making her the successor, but recalling the love and effort this woman made for the valley, she shut her mouth up. Chanying must've had her own reason for choosing her.

Chanying turned at the door in front of her, touched it and inserted her Spiritual Qi. The mechanism in front of the door moved and the door opened.

"I can't enter with you so you'll have to go alone. All the best."

Jiang Ying Yue thanked Chanying and entered the door alone. Once she entered, the door closed with a bang.
