C40 – Hunting the Fieryeyed Lion!
As the Scarface Swordtooth Tiger’s head plunged into the pit, it wasn’t long before a harrowing scream of despair echoed through the air!
The Fiery-eyed Lion, caught off guard, instinctively recoiled. It bellowed at the Scarface Swordtooth Tiger, “Did you spot that ant?”
There was no response from the Scarface Swordtooth Tiger, only silence that stretched on.
An unsettling feeling grew within the lion, fear creeping into its heart.
It roared again at the Swordtooth Tiger, “Are you ignoring me? Did you hear what I said?”
Still, the Swordtooth Tiger remained motionless.
Yet from the pit where the tiger’s head was buried, an eerie noise emerged. It was a sound that could be mistaken for slicing flesh or shifting soil.
Perched in the treetops, Green’s hope was reignited at the sight.
“Could Mr. Tian have survived?” It was overjoyed, its eyes gleaming with excitement.
As the Fiery-eyed Lion kept its gaze fixed on the pit, edging backward, a sudden disturbance broke the ground behind it!
A clump of earth burst forth, and from it, a dark shadow sprang up with the force of a gushing fountain!
Startled by a sudden sound, the Fiery-eyed Lion whipped its head around, only to be met with the terrifying sight of a black shadow lunging at it! A violent sizzle erupted as the Scythe Hand brutally pierced the eye on its forehead.
Lee Tian was the wielder of the Scythe Hand. He had already leaped onto the massive head of the Fiery-eyed Lion, gripping it firmly. With a forceful yank, he extracted the Scythe Hand from the lion’s third eye, gruesomely pulling out the eyeball along with it. He then crushed the fiery orb to dust.
The Fiery-eyed Lion bellowed in agony, rage boiling in its chest. Its ability to shoot fireballs from the third eye was now lost forever.
“Think you can feast on roasted ants? Die!” Lee Tian roared as he swung his Scythe, aiming a deadly blow at the lion’s throat. The beast’s anguished scream was cut short, its life ending not with a snapped neck but with a vicious slice from the Scythe. Blood spurted wildly from the severed neck of the Fiery-eyed Lion.
