Bombs flew over the other side of the flower field, exploding with a deafening noise upon impact. Gunfire and clamorous sounds permeated the area. The sustained explosions and gunshots caused Seo Gangrim discomfort, his ears aching.

Seo Gangrim was momentarily confused by the scene, which was not what he expected. The beautiful garden was just a small part of the landscape, as numerous flowers had been destroyed, and blood covered the ground.

The fence, made of chain links, prevented many demons from advancing, even though they made several attempts to do so. Some tried to jump over it, but each time they failed as they turned into fireballs and were pushed back.

As he turned, he noticed a bunch of teenagers dressed in modern military gear standing on a barricade they had built. The oldest member looked no more than fifteen years old at best.

Seo Gangrim nodded silently and followed the commander into the building. Inside, the facilities seemed more futuristic than what was visible from outside. They resembled a laboratory, rather than a flower garden.

The commander then opened the door to an inner office and said, "Flower Supervisor, I have brought Seo Gangrim."

The man in the white gown turned around in response. Although all the soldiers present looked like children, he appeared as an adult male figure, with a face that seemed fatigued.

"Are you Seo Gangrim? I am Sara Doryeong, the Flower Supervisor of this place."

While he too was a god, he didn't hold the same imposing nature as the Zodiac Gods. Nonetheless, complacency was not an option.

After settling into his own seat, Sara Doryeong motioned for Seo Gangrim to take a seat as well. The cluttered office quickly became organized as they both took their seats.

"Would you like some coffee?"

"No, thank you," replied Seo Gangrim.

"Alright. I wasn't in the mood to make any anyway."

After saying so, Sara Doryeong gave Seo Gangrim a thorough look. His gaze showed a considerable interest.

"Report has it that you slaughtered all the demon beasts outside?"

"Yes."

"I've heard many rumors, but... You seem stronger than I thought. I even considered betting on you."

It seemed Sara Doryeong also placed bets on the Zodiac Race. After uttering his statement, he scrutinized Seo Gangrim with the focus of a scientist, then inquired:

"By the way, what brings you here?"

"I came to pick up some flowers."
