Following the sound of bones cracking, a metallic thud could also be heard as the revolver dropped to the ground.
Roland did not stop and turned towards the remaining three people.
With no lethal weapon equipped, Roland was able to take care of them in no time.
"Phew! That was a little dangerous!" Roland muttered as he recalled the gunshots earlier.
If he did not react in time, he would have surely been hit by one of those six bullets.
Fortunately, he already kind of anticipated the man's action, hence he was able to dodge in advance before the man could squeeze the gun's trigger.
Still, the man's action made him furious. A little mistake there would have cost him his life.
His revenge followed right after, twisting the man's neck as if it was plastic.
As for whether he was still alive after that neck twist, Roland no longer knew. Due to his rage for almost endangering his life earlier, Roland did not try to constrain his strength as he twisted the man's neck with at least half his strength.
Or perhaps, it was not because of his life, but rather, the man who was shot by the bullet instead?
Anyways, Roland heaved a sigh of relief and went back inside the abandoned building.
He went to the corner and saw Stacey and the others hiding in fear.
Perhaps, because of her blind confidence in Roland, Stacey's situation was a little better compared to the other four.
Among the four of them, only Captain Coleman was a little sane at this point. The other four could basically be seen as being traumatized by what they experienced.
When the door of the abandoned building creaked open, they immediately shrunk their necks further, afraid of being discovered.
A moment later, Roland appeared with blood on his fist and some on his clothes.
Stacey immediately stood up and hugged him tightly in worry.
"Are you alright? We heard gunshots earlier, are you shot?" Stacey asked worriedly.
Roland caressed her back to appease her worried feelings.
"Don't worry about me. I'm alright," Roland said as Stacey nodded her head.
"Let's get out of here first," Roland continued as he dragged Stacey away.
Captain Coleman remained silent. They followed behind Roland immediately, with Captain Coleman almost dragging the three with him due to their wobbly legs.
Getting out of the abandoned building was easy, choosing a direction after that was difficult.
None of them were familiar with this place, so for a moment, they didn't know where to go. They could not go back to the yacht either as Roland knew that it would have already been occupied by Scar-face and the others by now.
Roland suddenly thought of Martin and Denis. Any of them would have been helpful in their current situation. It was unfortunate that none of them were here.
They don't have a phone to access the map either, so in the end, they just chose a random direction.
Using the direction of the sea as their focal point, Roland decided to travel towards the opposite direction, hoping to find anything that could help them.
A few minutes later, they indeed found another building. From the looks of it, it was still being operated but the workers might have already gone home for the day.
From the smell in the air, Roland guessed that it might be another storage building that was quite popular in this area.
This place was still a little close to that abandoned building earlier, so Roland and the others did not try to sneak in inside.
Instead, they continued moving forward, and with the lights as their guide, they finally managed to arrive at a public road, and a telephone booth welcomed them a few minutes later.
…
Meanwhile, at the place of Romeo- the 'boss' of the Brine Dock Site.
"What do you mean by this?" Martin screamed in anger at the top of his lungs as he looked at the men that blocked the exit of the room.
"Look. It's not that I'm trying to deliberately provoke you or anything. It's just that you bought a big fish in this ravenous place, it's only a matter of time before one of the gang's here get notified of their existence."
"In fact, by stopping you from going there, I am actually trying to divert you from the calamity. You should thank me instead, not look at me as if I am your sworn enemy." Romeo shook his head and tried to convince Martin.
Earlier, Martin rushed in here trying to get his help on a situation inside the Brine Dock Site.
After realizing what it was, Romeo did not hesitate to stop Martin from going there again.
After all, as the 'boss' of the Brine Dock Site, it was not a question that he would also be involved in many secrets happening inside the dock site.
As the 'boss', he was also given certain privileges by these people, hence the reason why he would just turn a blind eye to them.
A week ago, Scar-face's gang had actually contacted him that they would have a big operation on the dock site. Not thinking what it was, and after hearing the big share that he would receive, Romeo agreed to it without hesitation.
A week had passed since then and without any news, Romeo had gradually forgotten about it.
It was only at this moment that he recalled Scar-face gang's big operation, and with Martin's plea of help, Romeo immediately connected the dots and arrived at the conclusion that Scar-face gang's target was the friend that Martin had brought here a week ago as well.
Romeo did not hesitate and chose to side with Scar-face's gang this time. After all, he already knew what Scar-face's gang was capable of, while he knew nothing of Roland aside from him being rich, even comparable to tycoon Martin.
"Help? Ridiculous! You don't know who you are trying to mess with," Martin scoffed at Romeo's boasting.
The person you messed up with literally has a WPB Card. Amongst those who owned such an item, none of them were simple people.
For them to be able to accumulate wealth to the point that the WPB recognized it, it could be said that they had already experienced a lot of things.
Even though he, a simple tycoon on a remot G-Grade City has his own set of hidden bodyguards, how much more people like them who have more wealth than him?
Calamity? Who's calamity were you talking about? Yours?
"I'm telling you this as a former friend, Romeo, you just fucked up big time!" Martin said with a mysterious smile as he looked at Romeo and his men.
Romeo frowned upon hearing that, however, in the end, he still decided to side on Scar-face and his ongoing operation.
Greed was indeed the downfall of men.
"Don't let him get out of this room!" Romeo ordered.
All of a sudden, Martin's phone suddenly rang with an unknown number as a caller.
