"Nydan Roth...? Who is he?" Rea tilted her head in confusion. She looked at Zayne as she flinched, at his dazed expression.
Zayne's eyes were wide, he couldn't believe what he was hearing, "Nydan... Mr... Solomon... Nydan uses purple flames too, right?"
Solomon was surprised, then he nodded with a slight smile, "Yeah, looks like you got to meet him, doesn't it?"
Zayne nodded.
"Agh..." Solomon sighed, "In that case, I have nothing more to say. You saw it for yourself, his motives and actions, it was exactly what Klaus was up against. However, Nydan didn't listen to him, instead of a bright future he decided to abandon everything and choose his dark path."
Solomon put the glass aside, looked at Zayne, and said, "Meet me tonight, Rea, you come too. Get a proper rest as it will be quite difficult, for each of you."
Zayne and Rea nodded as their faces grew serious.
...
At the same time, a silhouette in a long red coat watched over the village that was known for its high crime rate and was one of the most dangerous places in the Lax River Region for ordinary people.
Even though it was daytime as the sun brightly illuminated the land, an oppressive atmosphere with an unpleasant corpse odor emanated from this place.
In a tree, near the edge of the cliff, sat a creepy three-eyed raven, watching intently all around.
Step. Step. Step.
Another silhouette appeared from the shadows, in black leather armor and cold blue eyes with a silver ring.
"You look excited today, I'd forgotten you could be like this." Ena muttered, leaning against the tree with her arms crossed.
Nydan smirked, slicked back his purple hair, and spread his arms apart, "I have a reason for that! We've finally gathered enough blood energy for the experiment I've been planning for so long!"
Ena sighed, "Well... Though we kill people and kidnap monsters, there is much less crime in the nearby villages and towns because of our actions. It's an unusual effect..."
Nydan shrugged, "You know yourself that it makes no sense to kidnap ordinary people. One bandit has more blood energy than ten farmers, well, the nobles and village elders are only too happy to get rid of bandits."
"You know... I'm surprised how many people have joined us in this time, especially... especially the Travelers..." Ena muttered.
"Well, I offered them power in exchange for the dirty work, and some of them have been surprisingly productive." Nydan said as the corners of his mouth rose up, "Our order, the Blood Eyes, is growing well, but tonight we can move on to the next stage."
Nydan waved his hand as a raven flew from the tree, landing on his shoulder.
"I kept meaning to ask." Ena muttered, "Why did you decide to enter Dark Magic? At least not directly, but Blood Magic is part of that area."
Nydan's face turned cold, he walked over to Ena and grabbed her sharply by the chin, "I have my reasons, and so do you, don't you?"
Ena frowned as she glanced at Nydan's hand that gradually pressed down on her throat, "Hah, trying to take me by force? You're not my type."
"Neither are you." Nydan smirked, "What I do is take the lives of useless people who are worthless anyway, but, in my hands, they can become a useful force."
Crackle.
Nydan squeezed Ena's neck tightly, temporarily cutting off her breathing, "If your goals require it, you will slit my throat without delay, and so will I. Our partnership is rather ironic, isn't it?"
Nydan continued, "I need you as much as you need me, but don't forget that you are my faithful servant, that's how our relationship works. Regardless of purpose, you and I are both not good people at all."
Nydan let go of Ena as she fell to the ground, holding onto her neck. Nydan just walked on, with a confident stride, with absolutely no regret for what he had just done.
'Bastard... However... I actually envy his confidence...' Ena inwardly muttered, watching Nydan pass as the deepest sadness appeared in her eyes.
She clenched her fists tightly, sinking her fingers into the ground as she bit her lip until it bled, 'If I had been even 10% as persistent as him that day, nothing would have happened to Kyle!'
...
During the launch of Fallen Fate Online, many things happened, Players learned more about the world and explored every part of it, as far as they could get.
Most stayed in towns and villages, completing quests, but some made it to Nydan or had already reached the Mage Academy.
Step. Step. Step.
Zayne walked among the first level of the Zexiton Academy, which in fact was a town formed around the main building where all the lessons and students were taught.
The first level had many houses, restaurants, stores, and even a blacksmith shop where young mages could find the right equipment for themselves.
'Solomon said to return to it tonight, but... what should I do now?' Zayne muttered, looking at the triangular emblem with the white crystal inside, 'With this I can go outside the academy, but I definitely don't want to go back to that forest, at least not now.'
Zayne paused, looking around until his gaze caught on a café with an unusual sign in the shape of a large bowl of soup.
'Well... I guess while I'm, recovering I can compare the soups here with what Klaus made, that would be interesting.' Zayne smiled slightly as he headed forward.
He didn't notice it, but some people were looking at him wide-eyed. They weren't surprised that the Knight was on the academy grounds, it sometimes happened, they were amazed at what they saw of Zayne Fellen.
"Hey... Has he really decided to become a mage...?" The young man in the long mantle muttered, holding the staff in his hand.
"I don't know, but we have to record it! I'm sure he just showed up here, or the news would have already reported it!" The girl exclaimed, quickly pulling out a blue stone.
